I went out today to mine some nugget gold using my wash plant and I found a big gold nugget under a boulder! When I move boulders I normally find gold nuggets but this one was my biggest gold nugget yet!
I agree. I worked in heavy industry for over 30 years. And I haven't seen anything that can't be moved with the right size portable hydraulic jacks. When you properly rig a 100 ton hydraulic jack against a movable object--something is going to give. It's simple leverage at work.
That’s a magnificent looking nug , congrats is due !! Many of us go a lifetime hunting one piece like that and it doesn’t come , well done Andy and Brian !!
Your doing a great job! Not many people appreciate the effort it takes to mine any mineral, and a bloody damn good effort to tip that huge rock out of the way with a 4 ton excavator, to keep all the ‘greenies’ happy show what a good job you do of reinstating, cheers T
@@ANDYTHRAXX all these gold mining vids give me the get up and go feeling to start mining myself . I have about 40 yrs experience in quarrying BUT, I'm from England . We don't have any thing like you guys here regarding gold dredging but we do have metal detecting and sometimes that gets boring when you have found Roman, medieval coins and artifacts for 40 and a bit years . This is the first vid I've seen about you and I'll def be watching more . Good luck with your prospecting and good day sir . Regards from England 🏴👍
Wow! That's awesome! Nothing but flower gold by me here in Colorado. Took the kiddo out and we moved some old flood plain rocks and had some success. Nothing close to this!!! Great find!
Chris thanks, that’s great you get the kiddo onto gold, flour gold is fun too, sometimes more rewarding because at least you get some gold in every pan 🙂
Next time instead of slowly scratching away at a big rock, get some decent metal like crow bars or some long high tensile steel poles and lever it out I could move that sucker by hand with the right tools
Micro blasters would of made the job a lot easier.if you don't know what they are Dan hurd has a few videos of using them to split big rocks to move them easier.
Just subscribed yesterday and love your channel bud! You remind me of a cross between Les Stroud and Winston Rothchild from Red Green 😂. I mean that as a compliment, from the Canada of the States….Minnesota 😊 Prospecting here is tough, but it’s around. Take care. Nice nugget too!
@@ANDYTHRAXX I've been working on a boulder for the last month myself by hand and hope I find something under it after she falls in the massive hole I have dug and hould have A video of it hopefully next weekend 😉 Can't wait to see what else you find on that claim
damn Im out in the prairies i could only dream to go and find gold like that here. I gotta find a job working for you guys out there! looks beautiful !
An actual gold miner mining gold, what has youtube come to!! lol Nice to see a real operation showing real finds, this channel will do well keep it up!
I've recently watched a few videos on a Lewis chainsaw winch. They look and seem like they work fantastically! Just need some cable, chains, chain locks and such. Looks inexpensive too!
I just came across your stuff today I think your awesome! I hope you've invested in some metal detectors since this video is 2 years old it looked like you missed some gold! Best wishes I'll be here watching and hoping for the best for you, it's fun to live out your dreams through someone when it's just not possible to do it yourself, so thank you it's a Beautiful scenery always. Thanks
Thank you so much, you rock!! we really want to show the excitement of real small scale mining, that anyone can do😄 I appreciate you watching and sticking around.
How about cutting a score line across the middle of that bolder. Then drilling bore holes and then using feathers and wedges to split that bolder in half. I would think it would be easier to move half of that rock than the hole.
Had to comment. First you should have pinned the thumb up out of the way. How to pry with bucket, get teeth started under rock, then curl bucket in and stick out and boom down all at the same time. Doing it like this you will not even lift the ass of the machine off the ground. If you still need more pry power place a rock or log chunk behind the big rock and then place bucket between the two. The small rock or log chunk will act as a pivot point or fulcrum for your bucket, use same bucket curl, stick out, boom down. You will find this technic very useful. Good luck from a 45 year equipment operator. Nice find.
That is so true, I have learned such an incredible amount doing this project it’s opened more doors in my life than I ever could have imagined. 🙂 I love the saying “seize the day”
Dan Hurd has some explosives he uses to split rocks - drills a hole and puts a cap in preformed, self contained charge and fires it electrically. Scan his videos?
HuasoPodrido Hi thanks so much for watching,🙂 good question, yes we go the extra mile putting it back together. I take it so seriously that my very first video shows that process, called “Andy’s reclamation”
That little Hitachi digger reminds me of my Fox Terrier Clyde when i was kid, nothing could make him give up what he set his mind to : D Really fun video thanks!
Earned a new sub 🎉 👍 Here in western South Dakota in the Black Hills mountains ive been working the upper benches of ancient tertiaries and man its similar. I tried panning and sluicing in the creek bed itself and had very poor results. Id find gold occasionally but it was miniscule. Since i got wise and woke up one day and realized I was digging the wrong spot things are only getting better. I brong home gold every time I'm out there. When you hold your first $200 gold nugget in your hands after four years of prospecting... King Kong aint got nothing on me! Its an overwhelming feeling to see what youve been reading and researching about all that time. It's Grrrrrreat
Such a great video guys👍🏻. It was pure entertainment. I am glad that this giant stone did not tear the excavator into individual parts. Very nice to see your joy in this wonderful find. The hard work was worth it. I look forward to more videos from you. Best greetings from Switzerland✌🏻
With today's gold prices, that paid for gas ,wages, and a little profit.bout 400 bucks for 2 hours of work and that's without sluicing. He'll probably find half an ounce at least if that was just laying there
It really does look like nothing compared to Aussie gold, what do ya do lol. We’re in Canada so $150.00 US dollars is like enough to live for a year here😜
Hahaha I was screaming at you how to move that rock! Watching that shit show was funny and frustrating at the same time! Sort of good job brother. Lol Your a gold finder not a boulder mover. Awesome find in the end. All that work totally worth it! Your the man dude! Good luck.
Macky1101 thank you for your comment, I appreciate your concern, we really do take restoring the earth back to new again very seriously, within a very short period of time this small area of designated resource land will be replanted and it’s regrowth managed until maturity.🙂
You realise that the device you used to post the comment has gold in it that guys like these get by similar if not more destructive methods? Stop using it and people will stop getting it....
Missed the adventure this morning, went to work, and now some gold time...let's GO 🍻 Sure bending those 2 points lol. A rope, around the bolder, a come-a-long, and a pully system, and use the mini as a anchor
GOOD DAY MATE! IN 1979 WE FOUND A 5.5 OUNCE NUGGET IN SNOWS QUARRY, ELDORADO CO. CA IT WAS ROUNDISH, PITED,AND O SO INCREDIBLE. CRUSHING CEMENTED GRAVEL, AT DEEB BLUE LEED, SEEN A LOT OF FULL MASON JARS,WHILE WORKING THERE.
wow all that work and equipment expense for 5 g. The way he was advertising this vid i was thinking he found one the size of a golf ball or something. ive seen some guys pull 15g out of the river on a days work just scraping and picking . oh well looks fun regardless
江城银 hi there🙂, I appreciate your concern, we’re being very methodical to disturb as little ground as possible, and I assure you immediately replanting it back to new again.
