Imleocalm thanks for all your videos about 2022 G70! I finally got mine! I'm from Colorado and Im picky and the Uyuni white prestige is what I wanted! Here in Colorado AWD Uyuni prestige is impossible to get! So I found one in Phoenix and I jumped on it! Flew down early yesterday and got back late last night! What an amazing drive loving my G70
The salesman told me this about the matte colors in the dealership. I was looking at the GV70 launch edition in the Melbourne Grey matte finish and it was the first thing he brought up about the car. He said they give all their customers a warning about the paint and that it's documented in the manual as well. That was a big red flag for me so I decided to look into the Prestige G70 instead. I don't really like the all red interior anyway, so there is that.
Imo the red doesn't match the grey. Looks complete with the white though. A tasman blue or siberian ice would be my other choices. Thanks for watching! 😁

Ok so, I've had mine for about a month. I got a non-launch edition White/ Black interior w/red stitching. I got a rock chip on the front, and guess what? Genesis doesn't even make the touch-up paint for it yet. Luckily I have a company car. So now my G70 is in the garage until I touch-up that rock chip, and get it clear bra protected.
Good video! Unfortunately, rock chips are the least of my worries nowadays. I'm sorry to be so negative. I've had my car since May and recently got rear-ended by a drunk driver, leaving work in the middle of the day. Talk about being pissed! I can't even describe it in words. I'm just thankful I wasn't seriously hurt or killed. BTW, thank you for the content. 🙂
Do you think it's just the matte paint that chips? Or you suggest paint protection for gloss too? I put a deposit down Cavendish Red with Red leather interior. Any problems with the red leather? Good videos, thanks
The paint hasn't chipped. It's just that rocks hit it on the highway and chipped the paint. If you intent on keeping the car long term and take value. Getting 2 or 3 multi layers of ceramic coatings to protect the paint are fine.. No issues with the leather.
Can you tell me the name of your rims ? I have the same car but it came when the other black sport rims & I want to switch to these. By the way your car is nice sir 😊
Thanks! These wheels were g70 launch edition only. Not sure of the name. To get them you might have to go straight through Genesis parts and ask for launch edition wheels for the G70. They are around $500-700 each. They were also on the 2019 G80 Sport.
Yes this is AWD. Genesis sells AWD and RWD. The AWD when in short+ mode and traction and stability off will drift and send most of the power to the back wheels.
Man, you've got a great car. Enjoy it. I've got an M340i, and I'm finding that even though I want something nicer, there are very few cars out there that are truly better, especially for the money.
@@Imleocalm in July I bought tesla 3 dual motor... wow its amazing. I love both cars. Each drive so different, Tesla is powerful and smooth, while the G70 in sports mode feels like a sports car.
