MY BIGGEST SPEEDPAINT SO FAR! | Drawing my DND Party 

Hope y'all enjoyed the video! Since the layers/brush palette was covered with everybody's stats in this video, I wanted to mention in case anybody was curious about the brushes I used for this painting that they were just the same as my usual ones, which you can find pretty handily by pausing any of my other speedpaints and checking the settings in the brush palette! :) (And thank y'all for all the great comments so far, it's been ace to hear your thoughts on the party! :D)

Do you hear the fondness in his voice? That alone makes this party seem so fun. And it makes it seem like so much more about the characters, not the adventures. I'm so jealous. Edit: Gods, the constant array of creativity in these character designs. I feel like such a novice. I actually cried. This group sounds so fun to be a part of.

One of the things that i appreciate most about your art work is that ALL of your female characters...are wearing covering armour or clothing...and are not unrealistically skimped down to nothing, makes a refreshing change.

I tried playing DnD with my friends once....*war flashbacks*

that's no party, that's a full blown guild! also one of my favorite things as an (admittedly less talented) artist and D&D player is character arts; my friends and I went through like 5-6 campaigns this year trying to find a suiting style, and it became sort of an unspoken fact that no campaign is truly "official" until I bring the character art

the first time i watched this a few months ago, i wondered why ava, a female, had stubble. now, watching it again, and actually knowing about D&D, realize that shes a dwarf and dwarf women have facial hair. i think the stubbles a good touch. really brings her design together i think.

Not seeing anyone talk about this but I would not want to face up against an absolute MONSTER like Ava Green who doesn’t have a SINGLE -# on any stat, probably mastered the “drunken fist” style on accident, and can’t even die properly

Now that I think about it Brio is the best name for a bard I've ever heard because in italian Brio is basically the equivalent to Flair. So we need more Brio!=more Flair!

Best D&D character concepts to play -Anything Stupid

Re-watching this video today to get some inspiration for a new character I’m working on and I realized, how does a Dragonborn get a tattoo? CAN YOU TATTOO SCALES? MY LIFE IS A LIE

I don’t have a campaign and I’ve never played one so I’m a baby, but my imaginative mind created two characters. (You can skip this comment, just me ranting about them.) One is a avian owl man, true neutral, his name is Qin (pronounced ‘kin’) and his class is Bard. Qin has the head and wings of a owl (He has wings for arms but has a single thumb/claw on each wing, like a bat.), the rest of him is human. Qin’s tall(6’4), has brown skin, brooding type, prefers being alone, comes off as a jerk but is actually a softie, and he has a soft spot for Ivy (my other character). Qin normally plays the mandolin (or any other instrument he can get his claws on) if asked to distract but if that doesn’t work he will result to intriguing against his wishes. He has a earthy tone and wears baggy pants. He can never find a shirt to fit over his wings which results in him giving up and just wrapping his upper half in linen bandage. His feet are normally wrapped too but that’s just because he doesn’t like shoes. He’s an orphan. He’s can can his appearance using magic (or potion.), he can become more bird like or more human like. (This trait is slightly useless and under consideration.)🦉 The other is my girl Ivy. Ivy is chaotic good elf and has the class of rouge. She has pale skin, black hair tied into two long pig tails w/ bangs, has shined gold eyes, and 5’4. She has markings but they only appear when she’s upset/angry. She upbeat, chaotic, spunky, craves adrenaline, probably a pyromaniac, always wearing a grin. That kind of person, ya know. She is mainly a thief, and a good one at that. She almost never gets caught but if she did she would either seduce them or knock them out, depends on her mood. Her main weapon is just two simple daggers or silks (There is a surprising amount of ways to kill some using silks.) but she is good at just plain hand to hand. Normally wears long sleeves or sweaters w/ black shorts. Knee high socks (any color she can find, matching or not.) and black boots. She also has a cloak that goes down to her mid-back w/ a hood. It’s black with a slight red undertone to it, she probably stole it...or most of her clothes. Has a belt with pouches on it that are probably filled with flint, gunpowder, coins, etc. She resulted to thievery after her father dies from a sickness and her mother wasn’t earning enough at her job to support them, so she started steals and selling the items to make cash. She moved out so her mother could support herself instead of two, she still visits her mother whenever possible. Her mother thinks Qin and Ivy are a couple because they’re always together. 🦝 (I just realized how long this is...woops.)

Help? I think I ship Paddy and Malark, and this is the only time I’ve even heard of them.. Maybe how in the picture they seem like they’re looking at each other, and Paddock was described as a ‘gay disaster’(and is now my favourite boi)

I immediately found myself loving Ava. A party animal druid who writes smut based on the party's adventures? I don't really need to know more than that to think she's the greatest thing ever. XD I also like Zada, Mina, and Malark. Zada almost entirely for her adorable design (she looks a little like a princess to me for some reason), Mina for that story about how she picked up everyone in the party and throwing them onto the ground to turn them back into people after being transformed into snakes (that and her long, beautiful hair), and Malark because he's really good looking and I like the whole enemy defecting to the party's side thing, as well as the thought of him having a warm heart that's encased in ice, but is slowly melting the longer he's around the rest of the party. (The way he and Paddy are positioned also makes me want to ship them together, too.)

One of my favorite parts of playing is all of the strange ways that my party manages to get ourselves out of trouble because sometimes we'll be like all rolled with initiative and than one of us will go "wait let's talk this out!" And make up a random attempt at diplomacy that somehow works

In one of our d&d campaigns, we played as dragons and my only mission since the beginning of the game was to find a deer so I could make a terrible dragon deer hybrid. Every turn I would be rolling to see if I could find one. Now, our dm will never let me anywhere near one. There are plenty of worse ones from different campaigns such as the time that I screwed a wyvern, but we don’t really talk about that. And that is why my d&d catchphrase is “Can I seduce it?”

Zada could hit me in the face with her shield and I would thank her.

Honestly, I enjoyed this more than any speed paint I have watched before this. I feel like I not only learned a lot by watching your method (I may never do shading the same way again. Your method is so much easier and results with much more cohesive colors!), but also had the chance to get a glimpse into a story, and meet really interesting characters. I loved the way you approached the VO, I think how much you love these characters really came through, and I think you did an excellent job on this video. Definitely got a new subscriber here! Thank you for what you do, your content is truly enjoyable.
