Glad to see all your progress. Congrats! What I do not understand, and I don't know if you have thought about it, is why keep using 30 amp circuits for ASIC miners? If you follow the 80% rule, the 30 amp circuit will support only ONE x19j pro miner without any overclocking or underclocking. If you install, and you can do it, 50 amp circuits, you would be able to connect THREE x19j pro miners per circuit without overclocking or underclocking. I have done it (the electrician actually did it) and I am running THREE ASIC x19j pros on a single 50 amp circuit. Think about it and the amps you are wasting by just connecting one ASIC per 30 amp circuit. Just a suggestion to make the most efficient use of your power. All the best.
This seemed like a really good view into your mind and how you think. We are too much alike. It sounded like a video I would make talking about almost any project I'm working on.
PS: Don't worry about reversing the door to locate the hinges inside for security reasons, just buy security (European style) hinges that essentially have built in pins/dead/bolts that engage in each hinge by closing the hinge. You look like you need the door to open outwardly to maximize usable space inside, for the minors you haven't thought about... 😄
Thank you so much for making you content! What percentage of your energy goes to Running minors and what percentage of your energy goes to cooling minors? Such a cool channel!
Been watching your videos for years, kudos on your success man. Awesome stuff! Edit: I find it very exciting that you show us your whole farm in this video. So much info I’ve always been curious about but never really knew how you had it set up.
if you plan for hundreds of miners and you know how to treat water with inhibitors, pH stabilizers, etc. (in fact a small lab is needed or an automated CDU system) then HYDRO is the right choice immersion is easier but more costly upfront, you can start with just one or two miners (see DCX Bitpod), and you have dozens of different ASIC models to be selected, so for small scale I recommend immersion
the pump at the tank is 270W at max speed the dry cooler pump is also 270W plus two 350W fans at max speed (there is electronic fan speed controller that may turn the speed of fans down)
i still dont undertand the reasoning. how much was each immersion tank completely installed? when do you expect to ROI. maybe that will help me understand. your noise being reason number one seems ludicrous since you arent in a congested area where noise is an issue. seems more like paid promotion.
immersion is not only about the noise reduction for home-based miners this could be the main reason (that's why you wish to buy a quiet device and not a screaming pump ;-) but there is also miners protection, no maintenance, stable temperature, overclocking ability, no fire hazard, corrosion protection, and dust protection....
Luckily none of our immersion setups have been "screaming." The FogHashing unit was slightly louder in the beginning but has since quieted down and has been performing great. Both DCX and FogHashing are great immersion options for the at-home miner.
