So glad you are ok, had a big one myself 20 years ago, the car saved me then just as yours kept you safe in such a horrific situation. Its times like these that make you appreciate life, loved ones and car safety features.

I also have known my immanent death acceptance but I too came out of it just fine. It does give you a wake up call that enjoying driving should be done with more anticipation of potential situations and it's defence over offence.

Thats Crap! We love these cars way more than we should. But at the end of the day they are only money and metal. The squishy bits in the seats are the imprortant bit. Glad to hear youre all ok ish. Need to get some stickers added to the shop!

I loved that car. Glad you are ok though. Having my class 1 license, although currently not using it, I am extra careful, knowing how much room we take up at roundabouts. You'd be surprised how many people try to squeeze through but usually up the inside. Merry Christmas

At the end for the day becky as long as u and your passenger and any body else involved is OK and healthy the vehicles are jest lumps of metal and can be replaced Hope u all well ❤

Glad you and all involved survived Becky, as you say it’s the most important thing and it is a really grounding experience, I had a similar situation a few years back not with oncoming though , but a big Land Cruiser with raised suspension started to pull out into the second lane when I was already halfway along side and past him and the two seconds I had to make a decision seemed like an eternity. I was in an RS6 and decided to go for the gap and use all the excess space into an Armco barrier to just floor it and pass him sooner while on the horn constantly to try and bring his attention to the fact that I was along side him. In my case it paid off, but it taught me to never leave the transmission software in comfort ever again, because the change down seemed to take forever.. always use auto or dynamic etc.. power and speed can save lives contrary to what law enforcement like to ram down your head. Any other non similar vehicle and the outcome would have been very different. Ps. Don’t buy another car just yet the UK car prices are tumbling, you will get a better deal especially M3. Crazy discounting is available now.

Hi Becky glad you all are ok and have walked away from this crash i know that feeling of impending doom as i have been in a similar situation i went head on into a car @70 mph on the M1 motorway a while back luckily i walked away the same as you with no injuries just shaken and shocked but my airbag didn't deploy don't know if that a good thing or not hope you have a great holiday.

Had a very similar situation, went into the overtaking lane, car pulled out forced us onto oncoming traffic. In the 1 second of panic, so many details go through your head. Its true what they say, its like slow motion

Hope you’re ok. Takes time to process a big one. Take it easy. Airbags on their own are violent enough, and be pleased for the lower IP air bags, I didn’t have them and the pedal box broke my tibia and fibula - read as months. Best wishes. Ps. The oh shit moment isn’t great. I bought a fast Volvo after my last accident. Don’t drive one now though ;-). Happy Christmas

im so glad youre ok. My one bit of advice is to seek help if you need it. I had a bad car accident a few years ago and although ive got better i dont think ill ever recover. I will always remember the moment when i stopped fighting and trying to get away and just gave up and accepted it. I thought i was going to die. This video really brought me back to that time. Please be careful you still look shook up

I got t-bonded last year in September by a red light runner hit in the driver side and rolled a few times me and the kids walked away in-injured car did it’s job so I replaced the car with the same make and model just a different color and higher trim but glad to hear your ok darling xxxx

I glad you OK. I had head on in July 23. I was driving hgv artic. Another artic veered onto wrong side of roundabout and hit me headcon at speed. I was off work 3 months & still not fully recovered. Hopefully CPS prosecute other driver for serious injury through careless, or dangerous driving.

Bloody hell beck ungood. Sounds very simulator to a friends accident. Overtaking a lorry and the lorry driver didn't check his mirrors and forced mate into barrier. Bless ya. Glad your OK. X

Something similar happened to me a couple of years ago; a truck pulled into my lane as I was passing it, giving me nowhere to go but through a hedge into a field. Sadly, because the truck didn't actually hit me, he drove on, leaving me thousands of pounds in damage to my beloved Celica GT-Four. I didn't have a dashcam in that vehicle at the time. I don't get into any of my cars now without one recording.

I got sideswiped in my 911 on the M25 by an aggregate lorry last year. Car was written off and it was terrifying being pushed down the motorway in front of a lorry cab, but I was left just with a sore neck. Have to be grateful!

Glad to hear you're OK. I'm hoping that the lorry driver admitted they were at fault? It really does take a near miss like that to make you reflect on what you have and to live each day as it comes. I was on one of the trains that got bombed on 7/7 so I can really relate to that.

Amazing BMW, i was always told to buy the best car and tyres as this is what will look after you, i love my 340i tourer, and like you say take time and step back from the rat race, my wife is fighting cancer and now my amazing step dad has just been diagnosed with prostate cancer, so not a great Christmas for us but we will beat this bastard cancer, happy Christmas to you and your family and everyone else, life is short so have fun and take care 🙏🥂🎅🏻

I would be so ducked if this happened to me in my TVR. Zero side impact. You've got a fibre glass door with a small pole, basically connected to nothing behind the door card. Glad you and the passenger are alright !

so becky now you know how it feels like being disabled see i had a brain heammorrage with neck glued back after having a metal plate made for my jaw , radiotherapy to the brain , pulse cut out because got infected , so many ops i lost count off , diabetes type 1 catching me up with 4 injections a day with blood each time , now just came out of hospital with bell palsey were your face drops on one side , when will it end , i am glad that you are ok , x
