@@hollykeller1545 some people choose to keep the patina on the outside of their chateaux because it adds a certain charm to it! But cleaning it would make it look very new and fresh so you can’t go wrong either way.

I like dishes, own several designs by Villory and Bach, so Philip and I would be buying all the China and por elaine. Steph....my father after serving all bomber missions, was shot down over Italy, resulting internment in a German POW camp, 22 mo. Long eventful historic story. You are a genius Stephanie.

The dinner service was a bargain and so pretty! We felt so privileged to be one of the first guests to christen them and not to mention the mustard pot. 🥰 Thank you for the lovely evening, Stephanie and Philip. ❤ It was a surreal joy to meet the people who have been a part of your week for the last three years. You and all the other Lalanders are exactly as you seem in the vlogs as in real life, and that is saying something. ☺️ Wish we could have stayed a bit longer, but we’ll be back, surely. 🏰 PS: Chateau de Villandry, Cheverny, Chenonceau, and Chambord were fantastic! 🏰☀️🇳🇱

My stepmother did. 😂 Only two of them were full sized tractors. Her John Deer model collection is on custom selves and will be enjoyed by great grand children she never met. We also gave her crossing signs, paintings, a sewing machine, and an object of art. ❤

I was definitely rooting for the dishes! I have a weakness for beautiful dishes and glasses too, but I rarely use them. The critics just say they aren't necessary, but that is not why we love them. It's because they are things of beauty that bring us joy, like art and music and flowers. If we only had what was needed, the world would be a drab, depressing place for lovers of beauty. At least at Chateau De LaLande the dishes are well used and appreciated. I don't think it is at all important that the K needs to have one particular meaning, letters can just be a lovely conversation starter.

Love the place settings, the plates and silverware… the floral arrangements are lovely - well done! Philip has such great taste!!! It became the boot room, gardeners' tea room, and Pavlina also does seedlings in there. They hatched the baby chicks in there. Natti's room with sofas and peacock corner, next to the kitchen, will be the China room.
