Better take the live version from Earthshaker Festival (I think it must be in 2005) In that version they played with their (by that time) actual members... • Joey DeMaio (Bass Guitar) • Eric Adams (Vocals) • Karl Logan (Guitar) • Scott Columbus (Drums) ...and all their former members • Ross the Boss (Guitar) • Donnie Hamzic (Drums) • David Shankle (Guitar) • Rhino (Drums) So they got three guitars (instead of one) and three drum sets (instead of one) in that version of this song!

I'm 50 years old and I've listened to them since Fighting the World. Was the first album I bought. Damn sure wasn't my last. My 4 kids love them. When my 3 oldest were little I would be playing them in the car and they would be doing the sign of the hammer in the back seat.

The guy who did the cover art did Destroyer and Lovegun for Kiss. He also did Conan the Barbarisn book covers. His name is Ken Kelly. Amazing Artist.

A digression into art. The cover for the Die for Metal album was painted by Ken Kelly, who did many covers for albums. Ken's uncle was...Frank Frazetta. Frazetta encouraged his nephew's artwork. Frazetta's own work has been utilized for something like eight album covers, most notably three for Molly Hatchet. Most famous of these is the Death Dealer. A recent Frazetta painting, A Princess of Mars, was sold by Heritage Auctions for $1.6 million. It was the Frazetta paintings for the Lancer paperback editions of Robert E. Howard's Conan books that resurrected Conan in the popular consciousness. We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming :).

This whole album is HIGHLY underrated and criminally so. Concept album based off of Odin & his sons as Gods of War, and how they viewed mankind and mankind viewed them. You need to give it a listen. Hymn of Eternal Warriors, and Gods of War. 🤘

I had a Frazetta cover on one of my early books, Luana. Only because it was commissioned for advertising for the (terrible) movie. I can only imagine what Frazetta, who to say the least did not paint women as shrinking violets, would have made of Floor. That is a painting that can only be envisioned ;).

G'day, good sir. I highly recommend four Sabaton songs for you, my good man. Metal Machine - WW2, about bomber planes specifically the USAF B17s. The Lost Battalion - WW1, about a Lost Battalion of American troops. There is even a movie about it, and the movie is pure cinema gold. Shiroyama - Boshin War/ Meiji Restoration, about the Last stand of the Samurai. The Last Stand, Roman Empire - The 1527 sack of Rome and the last stand of the pope's personal guards.
