Finally a Manowar reaction that is not Warriors of the World united. These guys are often not taken seriously cause of their supposly chauvinistic and dumb attitude and imaginary, but their are capable of showing powerful musicianship and Eric Adams is one of the greatest vocalists in metal history, he was in his prime when the album where comes this song came out. If you want another example of his fantastic voice, check out Master of the Wind, very emotional ballad.

Thank you, man! I'm so freaking tired of these Warriors Of The World reactions. They are everywhere and that song is not even in their top 50 tracks imo. Also I agree Eric (and the whole band) is in his prime in these two albums - Kings Of Metal and The Triumph Of Steel.

Thor (The Powerhead) has got quite a crazy scream in the end and it's also a very hard-hitting tune, so you might quite like it.

3 options, 1. brutal fast "Power" 2. amazing ballad "The Mountain" 3. the best song that has ever been written in the history of mankind "The Achilles Agony And Ecstasy In Eight Parts" this song sits on the throne and most likely it won't be taken down (next to it is Iced Earth - Dante's Inferno , Nightwish - Poet And The Pendulum and Arjen Lucassen and Snowy Shaw with their music)

That's why people used to say that there are many that you can study to be a good metal singer, but if you study Erica Adams, you'll be able to sing anything! Check out the live version in Lisbon with the crowd singing this anthem. I'd say Mountains, Swords in the Wind, Guyana, Army of Immortals (homage to the fans) and The Gods Made Heavy Metal for more. Eric's lower register is as impressive as his high compressed scream, wich is fuller than anyone's, even Matt Barlow or André Matos. Swords in the Wind or Call to Arms for that.

Mountains for the most beautiful Manowar song. Courage for the most similar to this one. Swords in the Wind or Call to Arms for Eric's lower range. The Power, Blood of my Enemies or Kingdom Come for all out screaming. Father to have Eric make you cry.

THE metal song. Describes very much how it was back in those days being a MANOWAR fan. Many of us did fight every day against the majority of the people who disliked metal and even the majority of the people claiming to like metal. Sometimes the fights got physical. MANOWAR never got any possitive comments in the press and they were almost never supported properly by record companies or promotors. Their fans were mocked and we really did walk against the wind. Despite all that we fought on and we are still here and so are the band. Most of the bands who mocked MANOWAR are gone since many years. Most of their poser fans moved on and were proven wrong. We fought for true metal and in my eyes we were victorious when we massed in the tens of thousands on the fields at geiselwind in Germany in 2005. There we achived the triumph of steel. Death to false metal, forever fighting the world, Hail and Kill!!

@@Skrofse Or maybe you did not experience 1982 to early 2000´s as a fan of MANOWAR? Did you attend Earthshaker in 2005? Anyway, the lyrics to Heart of Steel comes from the inspiration of certain letters sent from fans to the MANOWAR fan-club in England in the years between 82 - 86.

They rereleased their older stuff to get around not paying the member who tickled the ivories. I prefer their older stuff, it adds something their new stuff don’t have.

Eric Adams Eric Adams real name is Louis marullo italian he is a great singer for Manowar unfortunately only the albums before fighting the world are worth a shit
