It was only 6 months ago when I sat down with Kenworth Northeast salesman Drew Trombley and Anthony Cardillo to order my new 2024 Kenworth W900L. Here's a tour of the new truck!
My dad had a red peterbilt log truck when I was a kid. It had the square turn signal lights on the mirrors like yours. When I see them it always reminds me of him. Beauty truck man.
Looks great Mike! Don’t forget to thank the awesome people that own the company you drive for. It’s not often a company recognizes an amazing employee. Your hard work is recognized, and rewarded. Can’t wait for you to take the first load!
@@lamara8497 Some things are not talked about! Remember….he was leaving. They do appreciate him! That is very hard to find! I find it respectful not to ask…That’s just me!
@@G-Man-kc2nm I'm just being real about it point blank. I could care less about you buying me a new truck because guess what, that money spent on that new truck could have went into my pocket. Show me you respect me for what I do for you as a driver and give me a raise. At the end of the day, if he was to ask for a raise, they will come back and say "we bought you a new truck" lol.
Congrats Mike the truck is a beautiful canvas for your style. Thank you to the Cardillo's for giving you the chance to build a truck from scratch. I have fallen in love with the stock truck but know you will make it amazing!
Seen you today, 1/20, on 28 getting ready to get on 495N in S. Middleboro. New truck looks great ! Can't wait for the finished product. Kenworth - The World's Best !
I love the old school interior with the color of leather and buttons. The red exterior is perfect makes the truck stick out n for sum reason i love how the stacks look
Mike over here in the uk TC stands for traction control. enjoy the new truck don’t idle it for long or you will have problems with the dpf filter clogging up then you will need to know how to regen it . We have a lot of problems over here with ad blue (DEF)systems on our trucks .,newer trucks are starting to get better ,,love your enthusiasm for your trucks 🏴
I feel you should leave the tanks unpainted and see how it looks when all the lights and rest of the chrome is on it as I reckon it’ll look heaps better with chrome tanks but that’s personal opinion looks awesome Mike
Definitely get a blind mount drop visor like your other from 12 gauge customs. Your roof will thank you later. The other visors that mount to the roof will leak over time, from wind and them being heavy. Looking good. Also they make hidden def tanks also.
Nice. They should have order you the extended day cab. Traction Control (TC). I take it you guys fuel up at your yard, I noticed the DEF tank on the passenger side instead of driver.
Looks like a real Truck ! Gorgeous Rig. I hope Kenworths W900 Sky- Rockets with orders , after Peterbilts stupid decision to discontinue the 389 legendary Rig. Dumb move on Peterbilts part. At least Kenworth has not forgotten the folks who made them , by keeping these beauties in their class 8 truck offerings. Again beautiful classy Rig ! Congrats .
Hi Mike, congrats on the new w9! i work at the Renton plant and can tell by the sequence number in the front window when it was built. I most likely delivered the bumper, mud flaps, air intakes, hosetena and battery box cover to the assembly line. its a fun place to work seeing all the custom build trucks! best wishes, MikeG
Hello boston trucker. In my book you really are blessed and great luck to you. What a fantastic family you work for. Pride in yourself and your job pays off. The best to you
It will look good when you get the jewelry on it, nice to see you got analog gauges the Peterbilt trucks come with the digital dash. Nothing wrong with New Way air ride its been around for years its a reliable suspension. Noticed they spec'd your truck as a highway tractor you've got the 40,000 rears and 12,000 axle. A 90 gallon hydraulic tank that's pretty big they must be doing that to offset the weight of the 300 gallon fuel tank. Yeah the tanks would look good painted. Nice to see a traditional truck its the last of its kind the end of an era for a W900.
I have the same motor in my truck. The Jakes are beyond amazing. If I'm not grossing more than 70k going down the sisters. Stage 3 slows me down too much. I am way happy for you Mike!
What's up Boston Trucker, what an amazing truck, congratulations on the new ride. WOW, what a ride, can't wait to see it all fixed up and ready for the road. Best of luck to you and the Carrillo family with this purchase. Stay safe out there my friend and keep the videos coming and always travel safely catch you on the next one.
New truck looks awesome hope you enjoy it i work at a place in Abingdon Virginia and we make the w900l hoods and several other kenworth and peterbilt mack western star all kinds of different hoods im sure i had a hand in making the hood for your truck hope you enjoy it
So happy for you. Beautiful truck. Love the extra upholstery on the steering column and center console, heater too! Should be able to get chrome covers for the lower exhaust. Great video Mike, thanks.
That button down by the steering column is a manual regen button. I use mine often when I am working solo on site, I drive 8 axle dump truck and trailer in the PNW. We do high profile large scale industrial site infrastructure work. When your onsite driving day in and day out you never get enough speed going on to generate an automatic burn so eventually the computer will demand one or begin a derate if you ignore it too long. I’d make a habit of doing a manual burn while I am taking lunch and the engine has been at working temp for a while. That way it only takes 30 minutes. They can be a pain if you don’t take the time to learn about them . Pretty truck. Love the sound of new leather under my butt. 😂😂
@@TheBostonTrucker eh ! I’m no pro by any means. Just a hack this ol girl has to muttle through the days with when your working jobs far away from home base and your daily mechanics. We have a fleet of 8 mobile mechanics that work our job sites and 10 more in the shop. Sometime you do what you got to do to keep er rollin I suppose. Happy trails in that beauty. 👊
On my 880 I used silver metallic high temp paint for the exhaust elbows. You can always touch them up easily before a show and it cleans them up nicely
You've got a nice looking rig there friend. I've been waiting for this video for what seems to be forever, now it's here. The truck is so awesome. Can't wait to see what you are going to do with it. Many happy and safe miles to you my friend.
Congrats! Will be even more of a beauty after you get it decked out. I chose a Mack PI64T Gold Bulldog when my boss asked me what I would buy if cost didn't matter. I haven't regretted my choice after 200,000 miles.
I used to have a Creole Driver from the Bayou in Louisiana. He always said "Cop You" as in "cop you a left" or "cop you a right". No term for a u-turn because we were always going in the right direction!🙃.
That Kenworth W900L is gonna be Bad Ass Mike & it about 5mins from my house & I can go check it out & see the progress of your Truck& maybe they will let me take pics of in progress
I'm going to admit I don't follow you heavily. I am subbed to your channel and I'll get on a Kick and watch a bunch of your videos6 but then I won't catch you for a while. The last video I watched was you ordering your truck then you just came across recommend videos. I was like I have to see the new truck. Awesome they are going with the old school look sure does look dam good. Happy for you bro. Guess I have a bunch of videos I can binge watch now.
Well I'm happy you stop by once in awhile. I just posted it coming out of the paint shop today but it has a long way to go. Check back again in about a month And hopefully it'll be done. ru-vid.comgmPCXo8NTEA?feature=share
Sam can cut that tank for you if your second guessing.. would be nice to split the passenger tank gain the ability to fuel up from both sides as well as some capacity
Awesome looking truck! Love the color of course. Love the W900L I work at a Peterbilt dealer down here in PA but I might have to admit the W9 may be my favorite truck of all time. It’s so hard to choose between it and the 389L It always makes my day when a customer is as excited about their new truck as you are.
What a money maker!!!!! 3 miles to a gallon? Cummins equals, injector issues, fuel pump and of course DPF! I hope you have set enough money on your savings account to maintain this ...beauty!
Love the new KW. Not to much on the white buttons on the inside, but after you said about painting the top of the hood white. I think its going to look good then. And dam is that red bright. Very happy for you. I can remember way back when I got my first brand new truck and it was a 1996 KW W900 double bunk. Now I gotta find some pictures of it to share with you.
O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸 Happy New Year…2024! I’m digging that new truck! Even the old KWs had the logo on the side of the hood though. Is that a 10 or 13 speed? Gonna be a stainless visor & fenders? What do they call the paint that goes around the edges of the doors, fenders, hoods, etc…East Coast style striping? I can’t recall it for some reason. That’s one long wheelbase. Will you get to drive it from the dealer or body shop? It’s nice to have a new truck for your own! Happy for ya friend! Can’t wait for the 1st drive!! Oh, Yeah! 🥰🤩✌️
Awesome Truck brother I’m so happy for you. You deserve it. You’re a hell of a hand that’s gonna be one sharp truck when you get it put together. FYI I would replace all those dome light bulbs with the LEDs inside as soon as possible because they get too hot and they destroy your plastic and the little tongs that hold the bulb in so swap them out for the big LEDs as soon as possible you’ll be happy. And by the way, you can get them in several different diodes like 16 / 24 and I think 32 is the brightest ones. Those are the ones I put in my long Hood and I love them you can get them a different colors too. If you prefer I just went with Clear.
