love your channel....clickbait summary - Her baby is lactose/dairy/sorry "cows milk protein allergy cmpa" (isn't it funny what it takes to make everyone happy?) intolerant. that's why the milk is no good for her baby. She gave her frozen breastmilk away to friends. She's eating dairy free now so the milk is good in the future. New breastmilk plan @ 12:45
Don’t get rid of it! If you have a chest freezer it will last up to a year. He can grow out of that. My baby was born 11/1, she was diagnosed with a milk protein allergy at 6 weeks old. I had 40 bags frozen by then. I stopped all dairy and by 6 months I reintroduced it and she’s been fine. She grew out of it and has had no reaction to the milk when I was eating dairy. Same happened with my 2nd child.
I also donated a lot of my frozen milk. At 3 months daughter refused to take bottle and i leadrned that i had high lipase? That caused the sugars to break down even in frozen milk, leaving a gross soapy aort of flavour. Nicu babies are often fed directly w a tube so they dont taste the milk and its still nutritious.
My child was a nicu baby. My first born son just barely two years ago. The most traumatic experience of my life, the lack of control....thank you so much for donating. It made so much of a difference it's immeasurable to whoever received it, I am sure of it, because for me it was as well.
I also had to do strict dairy free with my baby at 2 months old for tummy issues. She had gas so bad she would cry for 4 hours every single night and always had inconsistent #2 diapers and constipation. After olny 1 week of no dairy whatsoever she was calm and had way less tummy issues at night. She went to bed with no crying, and she also started sleeping through the night. Only after one week of no dairy! Every week for the next month she got better and better. I delayed cutting out dairy because I thought it must not be that much of a contributer (and I didn't want to), but seriously DO NOT hesitate to cut out dairy if your baby has any issues, SERIOUSLY! Best thing I ever did.
Heyyy!! You don’t have to throw out your milk. Save because he may grow out of it. I breastfed my babygirl and she had a sensitivity to soy & dairy so I cut it out my diet when she 3 months and we reintroduced it after she turned 10 months per her pedi and she was clear of that sensitivity. I was also able to give her all the breastmilk I pumped and froze at the beginning at that time too.
Oh my gosh I LOVE how Sage is like, Bye Mommy! No Cashew! You can't go to school with me! All the while she's chugging along with a backback bigger and heavier than her body. LOL So precious. 💚 Such a strong-willed, determined, independent young lady. 💜
Had a c-section! So my milk came in late. Because of which I decided to give my baby boy formula - similac total care. And gosh my baby suffered a lot from painful gas acid reflux spit ups baby acne all over the face. Craddle cap on the forehead. He was in so much pain and discomfort all the time. Pediatrician said he has CMPA/CMPI. Changed his formula to Nutramigen meanwhile I went dairy free. My baby wasn’t doing good on formula. By god’s grace slowly and steadily my milk supply increased and is bow sufficient for my baby. No more formula nightmares😢😢😢 And I am dairy free! The first two months of his life were the hardest for him and us. My poor baby 😢😢
My first babe had a dairy intolerance, as soon as I stopped eating dairy it was 180 on his crying, rash and bloody stool. I reintroduced it at 12 months and he was completely fine and now at 8 years old hes never had a problem at all.
So you can’t get rid of the lactose in your breast milk by avoiding cows milk products. You are human. Regardless of diet, you would have made lactose. Perhaps a protein allergy but an intolerance and an allergy are different
Hey girl, we really are in sync! I gave birth to my second baby hours away from yours and mine too is lactose intolerant. What a sacrifice to have not eaten butter, cheese or ice cream since March so I feel you! 💕
Do NOT get rid of your milk!!! It doesn’t even sound like he has cows milk protein allergy. Maybe his baby acne cleared up because he’s older now and that’s the normal course for baby acne. Keep it and give it in a few months and monitor his response to it.
I love Sage’s bell-bottoms. My second child had a similar issue, but he also had severe eczema and projectile vomiting whenever I would have dairy. He outgrew his allergy at 12 months.
Hope you can donate your milk to a mama in need. I had supply issues and I can’t put into words how thankful I am for the donated milk I received for my baby.
I am also currently on dairy free diet because my 4 month old baby has some tummy issues. She has been pooping up to 7 times a day and it’s always runny and with some mucus but never blood. Her pediatrician says it is normal for a breastfed baby but I’m tired of waiting for her digestion to improve so I cut out dairy and also try to avoid soy. It’s been only a week of no dairy and I already see a difference, she poops less (only 3 times a day which is a big improvement for us) and she is calmer overall. I hope she will grow out of it so I didn’t get rid of my pumped milk.
My first was also dairy intolerant and just about to have a second bub 🥰 we’ve decided we’ll be dairy free for the first few months to see if baby’s digestive system can mature before introducing dairy. It was such a bad experience for us and so many friends went through this!
Could you please share all of the natural supplements you use for yourselves and your children? I am about to have my first grandchild and would love for him to utilize natural remedies. But I am also very interested in a natural life style. Could you please do a video and share what you all use? It would be greatly appreciated!
I get a little excited every time i see you have posted a new video. Specially updates about Oakley as i have a baby boy who is just 2 weeks younger than him. I love to see your tips and tricks.❤
Found your channel for the first time while I was looking for lunches at work and that was 8 years ago! I enjoyed that video and I see this video after that wow looks like so much has changed ! I will be subscribing now right so I can watch more . Lovely contents :)
This is indeed very heartwarming and very wonderful and very adorable and very beautiful and this brings back such great memories of when I use to be a 90s kid and an early 2000s kid and I am a new subscriber as well:).
I exclusively pumped so my hubby got to feed baby whenever which was super helpful since I played in a hockey tournament 3month post partum. I had to pump in between games, but ya it felt amazing not having to worry. So much more freedom.
Oh my…donated breast milk…this makes me feel uneasy. I’m thinking health screening; hygiene; infection control; frozen breast milk removed from the freezer for the camera appearance, partially defrosting, then being refrozen; product unsuitable for this child now possibly being suitable for another child; pasteurization, if accepted by a milk bank, destroying potentially helpful antibodies and immune properties etc…
Ugh I was forced to let it all go when Hurricane Ian hit Florida... lost power for two weeks and there went 3 months of late night feeding left overs...
Cant believe how big Sage has got my little one is turning 3 this year!!!! Nooooo and Oat milk unsweetned helped when i had to avoid milk as it was higher in gi.My sister had the same situtation with milk intolorence with her children so your not alone all the best to you guys Xx
Both my kiddos had a dairy and soy intolerance (it’s the proteins that they are intolerant to) when they were babies. Thankfully they grew out of it by the time they were 1! You can look up how long your milk will be good in the freezer to re-try in the future. We reintroduced milk via the ‘dairy ladder’ as there are different tiers of milk products they can tolerate- definitely look into that! I ended up donating mine via a fb group in my area- called human milk for human babies. I looked up trying to donate to hospitals but it was a lot of red tape. Good luck, it’s definitely adds whole other layer to breastfeeding! 🫶
Yeah food alergies are tough, my son had 25 now at age of 3 he has 18. But milk is one of them too. Do you know, that crossed alergen to milk is soy and also you should not eat beef? Soy has similar protein like milk. When I stopped eat this, his health get better.
@@HealthNutNutrition I wish you luck! In most cases alergies are gone around 1 year. There are 3 types - Ige alergies they will show after blood tests. Non Ige alergies this one you can find this only by diet that baby reacts to some food. Last one are intolerances and they are very rare - to lactose (breastmik has lactose too) and gluten. What babies have are alergies to cow protein and in Non Ige so it will dissaperar. The problem what it causes it that if the baby eat the alergen, the itestines are damages and start to be permeable and you can see it on skin - the rash, eczema and also it can be blood in poop etc. So you have to heal the gut health. I hope I describe it clearly it is very hard for me to write it in english.
I remember being paranoid about potential colic when I was pregnant that I didn’t go near dairy until 8 months old 😂 but he did end up having one when we introduced dairy so it was easy switch
You might want to try silicone comotomo baby bottle it's the closest bottle to breast it has a great flow and baby drinks it with ease. I hope you find this helpful because I had those glass Phillips as well we tried switching nipple sizes and ordering but the flow just wasn't going... I just knoticed how long it took him to drink that 2 oz just a helpful suggestion not trying to say anything bad. Have a beautiful day 💞
I would love it if you made a few videos of the old content you used to do. For the OG viewers like myself. I miss the healthy recipes content. I have your cookbook and still make the recipes but I would love to see some new content. Now I feel like everything is children related. Which is fine. But I thought you’re a healthy lifestyle influencer? Not a mommy blogger. Everything is so clickbait and forced now😒
@@HealthNutNutritionbest place to start would be nearest hospital. They are always looking for some for NICU babies. I donated mine there - best decision ever made.
@HealthNutNutrition that or search for breastmilk banks at hospitals near you. For example, the closest to me is half way across Michigan but they ship me proper storage containers and overnight shipping labels for me to send it back to them. They turn around and same day ship my milk to hospitals across the state and country after processing.
Can you please let me know where I could get that little snake cups your son was playing with. I would love to purchase it for my grandson. I love your videos!
Hi, loving your videos since I just had my newborn. What was your pumping schedule while breastfeeding? Id like to start a stash but ive only been exclusively breastfeeding.
Just using a haaka on the non breastfeeding side while feeding your baby is an easy way to keep your production up and get a little stash without all the pump parts.
Did he drink it?? I am currently having issues with getting my 5 month old on a bottle😢. I tried different kinds of bottles and teats with no luck 😢!!!
Same with my first. I let her play with an empty one and tried to get her drinking it as she was waking up from a nap because if she was awake she knew it wasn't the boob and would just cry. It can take a while but patience and perseverance is key, good luck
