I started tearing up at this video. The little crying moms made me sad. Then I realized, oh my gosh, I HAVE to have this pillow. Yep. I'm pregnant. Marketing geniuses.
This video is so frustrating! I was recently given one of these breast feeding support props and thought I would check out the video. This video makes me not want to support My Breast Friend at all as a company! It is a horrible marketing ploy that makes moms feel like they can't be successful with breastfeeding without this pillow... come on. Yes breastfeeding can be challenging for some moms but this video is setting new moms up for failure. As a Lactation Consultant and a first time mom to be, you do not "need" this pillow, yes it may be very useful and helpful for some, but there are many other breastfeeding positions that you can try if you are having difficulties. If your shoulders and neck are sore try side lying, or laying back with the baby on top of you. You've got this mama you can do it and you don't need this fancy little pillow to be successful. Believe in yourself and your body- you were made to do this.
