How was it???? I'm so interested in making this for my mother on mothers day for lunch. Did you use a certain type of bread, or side? Or what the soup just a meal itself.
Here is the recipe I found on her social media page. Broccoli Cheddar Soup (8 servings) Ingredients - 1 stick of butter (1/2 cup) - 1 small onion (diced) - 4 garlic cloves (minced) - 1/4 cup of flour - 2 tsp salt - 1 tsp black pepper - 1 tsp garlic powder - 16 oz chicken broth - 3 cups broccoli (uncooked, chopped) - 1 1/2 cups carrots (sliced or shredded) - 1 cup heavy cream 4 cups cheddar cheese (not packaged, shred your own, easy melting)
I made it with coli flower and only used like 3 tablespoons of butter with a little olive oil and 2 garlic cloves. I also added 2 tablespoons of sour cream with some almond milk. Because I had extra vegetables I also added zucchini and Squash or Chayote in Spanish. It was so delicious!! Thank you!!!
@@lourdesdiaz4973 Hola, apenas vi tu mensaje. Esta receta se supone que lleva o se llama sopa de brócoli con queso pero como no tenia brócoli le puse coliflor bien picada. Primero pones cómo 2-3 cucharadas de mantequilla con 3 pedazos de ajo. Ella usa mucho pero no es necesario. También le pones un chorro de aceite de olivo, unas 3 cucharadas de mantequilla crema como 3 cucharadas y también 3 cucharadas o 4 de queso crema. Básicamente le puse lo mismo pero en poca cantidad porque se me hizo muchísimo lo que ella le pone. Puedes usar las verduras que quieras y al final el queso. También lleva caldo de pollo pero yo también le agregue agua y knorr junto con otros condimentos. También le eché un chorro de leche. La sal de ajo le da buen sabor. Yo le puse como de seis condimentos, es al gusto. La pruebas para ver qué más le hace falta. Muy rica!!
I forgot to mention I also added cream cheese but again like 1/4. I pretty much used the same ingredients but in moderation and also added a bit of chicken bullion and other spices. Hope you all enjoy!!
Such a great soup to have on a cold winter night! I'm the same way with the bread as well or sometimes I'll put saltines in it with a dash of pepper! Love your videos:) stay blessed
Large onion, four cloves garlic or as much as you like, (1 tsp salt, pepper and garlic powder) 4 cups of chicken broth, two table spoons of flour, two large heads of broccoli. 2 cup cheddar cheese. 1/2 cup shredded carrots. 1 stick of butter. 1/3 cup heavy cream. I just made it. It’s delicious. Enjoy 😊
I chopped & blended all the broccoli stems, onions, and garlic until smooth, then sautéed until fragrant. Then Added in all the rest of the chopped broccoli, shredded carrots & stock/cream/cheese. So good!
Haha the little head bobble when you told them not to flip out was cute. My brother and I used to always argued who was a better cook. I’m definitely a better cook. All our patrons said so haha. I must admit he definitely make some damn good cheddar broccoli soup. Hands down the BEST cheddar broccoli soup I’ve ever had. Anytime he’d make it that soup would be sold out in a few hours.
I worked at Panera Bread for 4 years during college, I can vouch that this straight up looks like she bought a tub or 2 of Panera Broccoli Cheddar soup, reheated it, and claimed that she made it. Well done 🥹👏🏼 ima try this recipe for myself, I love their broccoli ched soup with a side of baguette!

You know what’s funny? I think the only people that complain about how “that’s too much butter” or “that’s way too much sugar”, don’t cook. Because everyone that cooks would understand that you’re making food for people, not a single person with that amount.
Don't worry about the butter..I'm also putting in cream and cheese 😂😂😂😂..... its a sometimes soup, delicious but fattening. It's nice to have that sometimes too.... can't always just be plain vegetables.....😊

This is one of my favorite soups and have never made it myself but decided to make this on a whim & it’s sooooooo gooood! Just as i had been simmering the onions and garlic i realized i didn’t have carrots so i shredded butternut squash i had instead. Also didn’t have heavy cream on hand so instead used half a can of evaporated milk and a few table spoons of cream cheese. This is a new staple in my home, whether i have the correct ingredients or not!

Anybody got exact measurements of the recipe? And you think vegetable stock is better than chicken stock? Planning to make it this weekend so I need to make a list of what to get. 😅
I love it, now I make a pot eat dinner and bag and freeze the rest. Easy meal prep. Don’t have to worry about what to make for dinner. Thanks for sharing.
