This game was a long time coming! And at long last we can take the journey into the world of Hollow Knight. This game is already so beautiful and so very addicting, I can't wait to play even more Hollow Knight and see more of Hallownest!

Ok, first of all. If you ever run into a situation like the one here with the lost kin ... probably upgrade your nail at the nailsmith first if you have the opportunity? Just so that your less likely to experience the "definition of insanity" again. Also, you NEED, absolutely NEED to be dream nailing more static corpses that are part of the environment, like those two white bug corpses in palace grounds or the big bug you got the glowing womb from. It should be like a second instinct in your mind. Dream nail background corpses! The corpses of average enemies that you slay on the road, will not give dream nail dialog just to clarify. Also people, dream nail people.

I know there's the one in greenpath, and the soul master as well, I'll keep trying to keep an eye out for any other corpses I see along the way. I just hope dream nailing people doesn't lead to disaster...lol

Yayy! More Hollow knight! :3 Edit: Just an fyi, try to avoid dream nailing ghosts. Think of warrior ghosts like Xero, if you were to dream nail him, you would skip his dialogue, and start the fight immediately. So, try to dream nail everything but ghosts (there might be exceptions)

Broken Vessel/Lost kin are some of my favorite fights! My favorite thing to do is desolate dive into them when they do their groundslam attack :) Great job there. You were absolutely right that you weren't necessarily supposed to do that yet with your gear. That being said, if you can get somewhere in Hollow Knight, you can do it... if you're determined enough. Side note - I'm very confused what you meant by "telepathic jump"...

For clarification, it sometimes felt like his jump would land where i was going to be not where i currently was. It gave his jumps a more premeditated feeling almost like he knew what i was going do do and where i was going to land before even I knew. I think in short it's just "skill issue" lol, but it added another layer of difficulty to the fight, but a welcome one nonetheless!

Broken vessel/Lost kin is one of my favourite tracks in the game. The deeper more menacing tones of your own theme add to the tragic extent of the story and the ringing part that sounds throughout the track is almost like it's nail being dragged through the ground I'd also love to stream Lost kin hitless to you but uh... It would be spoilery unless I get to him on a new savefile. That said it's one of me favourite fights too. Best boss fights in the game for me share a very action/reaction loop to them. Like mantis lords for example. You always wait for them to attack just to retaliate quickly and then they do the same. It adds a very dance-like flow to the battle. Not to mention BV is a mirror of yourself even in abilities. The dash attack, swinging your nail left to right is your spinning slash, descending dark, spewing goop everywhere as infected version of howling wraiths. Just a really good fight overall.

I have such a weak spot for when games take your theme and remix it for different purposes (sonic games are such a great example) and this one is no exception. It really helps to make you feel like you're a part of this as well whether its you the player or the character you're playing as also no pressure to show me the hit less run! If anything maybe I'll just do it myself lol. But now that you point out BV's similar moveset, everything now feels so much heavier!

Nice! Persistence and perception. Remember the circle for later fights. Also, this was a maybe-I'll-come-back-later-fight. Or in this case, an opportunity to get into the git-gud-at-Hollow-Knight-mindset.

Just found this video randomly, I love hollow knight. Gotta say, you definitely didn't need to defeat Lost Kin where you were in the campaign but well fucking done! You kept at it until you beat it and that takes a Hella lot of effort and persistence! Gained a sub from me! :) hope you enjoy the rest of the game it's absolutely fantastic and keeps on giving!

Since you almost got it to work I'll just point out something that salubra said regarding charms, if you have a charm that costs more notches than you have available you can cram it in causing you to become overcharmed this of course comes with some unintended side effects but it can prove useful in certain situations especially endgame. She also mentions that certain charms "like" each other but you don't really have a whole lot of charms to mess around with that so I wouldn't worry about it. She may also be higher then a ceiling but that's just a theory.
