Very nice car! My aunt had a dark cherry, almost purple '68 Riviera in the mid 80's (I was in my early teens then) and I always loved how that car looked and how comfortable it was. I also loved watching the headlights operate as that was probably my favorite part of the whole car.
Stunning car! Peak GM design, and it will never ever be as good as this again. Would love to have one if I only had the garage space. Just saw this car featured on Adam's Rare Classic Car channel.
I love that car. My brother-in-law had a car like that. His was brown with a black top and all the options. I just love any GM car, along with the Fords.
In 1968 I was 23 years old and just started a new job and moved into a new apartment. I WANTED this car SO BADALY ! Trouble was it was too expensive for me so I bought a 1968 Buick GS400 Convertable instead. It cost me a little over $3,200 . LOVED the car, but always loved the Riviera.
@dougbelanger3479 Didn't it bother you having that one stranger putting his hands on that beauty? Not even my car and I was screaming at him through my phone..."Get your hands off the car!".
Beautiful car! Too bad your friend didn't have a Mopar he would have helped his company, got a discount and on all parts, and enjoyed those cars too! I have a 1970 Chrysler Newport Custom with 383 from a 69 that has never been apart and a 1962 Imperial Crown all original. The only thing I do not like about the Imperial is the power windows have power on without the keys which is a safety concern with children. Also, I have my 1988 Dodge Ramcharger that I bought new - never driven in snow. Thanks for your video!
Was that Silver Beige different from the Cortez Silver used by Chevrolet? In this video it looks to be close to the same color, but in Adam's video of this car, the beige was more apparent in the views of the front of the car, where the sun was shining. But his shots of the rear of the car had it looking more silver-ish, as in this video.
@@tonyscarcare5657One of a few cars I regret selling! Funny It was on ebay in 2005 with a buy it now of $5000 when I bought it. The guy bought in new and still had all the original paint and even had the plastic seat covers they used to put on. I lived in Naples FL at the time and he lived in Chicago my brother went to look at the car for me and called and said if I didn't buy it he would. I still have a window sticker if Doug wants it.
@@scottludlow6873 I would like to get that window sticker. Would also like to know whatever you can tell me about your ownership. Did you sell it to someone in Fort Meyers? Cheers, Doug
I was born in the wrong era. I can't stand all these modern plastic, computer controlled vehicles. Give me some good old American steel from the 60's to 80's anyday
