Why just turbo the xr8 it'll cost round about the same by time you find someone selling one that's pushing more than 14psi you'd be better off putting the coin into your ute mate
Dude your accent confuses me it’s like a mixture of aussie and Canadian Edit: holy shit I didn’t expect to get this many likes let alone get likes at all for this comment 😂
It's good to see someone from outside OZ appreciate our machines, if you're going to do a couple of things to the ute keep in mind that you can buy aftermarket lane departure warning censors, a must on the b series utes given how treacherous the blind spot is when changing lanes as we've discussed before, cool vid bro
John Bullivant thanks m8 I love the cars here! Great car culture.. yes the blind spot in my ute is so dangerous lol just gotta send it every time I change lanes 😂
I remember being about yer bros age when i went for ride in my mates brothers 11 second XR GT, sure left an impression! Even idling down the street the twin 3 exhausts were setting off car alarms. At one point he pulled over to the side of the road and said ''Ive just got to check something'' then just rips a huge long smoky skid and then said ''That's a Detroit locker boys'' lol
Really liking your channel Ross, Good to see you luv our Aussie V8 fords, I wish my big bother let me drive is v8 when I got my license, your a great brother.
To be honest he did a good job driving. Considering he would normally drive in the left seat, on the right hand side of the road and He's only 16 and just got his licence.
That's a very nice gesture from you. Your little brother will have quite the story to tell when he gets back home. You have made his trip far more interesting that just sightseeing. I thought he drove very well. It's a lot to take in: wheel on the other side, swapped wipers and indicator stalks, left hand gear shift, driving on the other side of the road, checking mirrors in the opposite order. At least, the pedals are the same arrangement, and usually the ignition keys too. Hopefully you will get a 'tunnel run' in as well. My XR8 sounds ok in a tunnel: it has a twin outlet exhaust, and some intake improvements.
Rosscoe, young brother is trying to keep his cool, but nah...... geez those Mexican borders go forever! Real happy you had family over too mate, all the best for the new year.
he tried but couldnt keep that smile off his face haha i love that i live so close to mexico its great.. ha thanks man hope you had a good holiday season too
@@RossReviewsau haha yeah mate that'd be awesome, I miss my Octane FG XR6T every day but will get another one soon! Loving the videos mate keep em coming, cheers!
@@pijnto that must be why my 12 second mildly tuned near standard gs pulls a faster 60ft than a low 11 second barra. Just accept both motors have different characteristics
Brings back memories of my beloved BA XR8 that I had to sell. The growl and roar of that V8 was just awesome and such a great car all round. Cheers mate!
Looks so serious but when he smurks its like ooft I think I jizzed too much without saying anything but tried holdong it in haha. Good blokes indeed ^_^
New subbie here, the word ALIEN is the right word to use when picking up somebody to experience something they haven't tried out, good onya mate keep them vids coming, cheers mate👍😁
There is a Holden ute here on Vancouver Island, a New Zealand bloke shipped a ute shell over and put everything from a GR8 into it. Still would love to bring a Torana over here. (I miss my Torrie)
wow really that is cool! would love to have one over there.. you could import my ute there now legally as its 15 years old.. :) ya im still hunting hard to review a torana!
dude, your cruising around my hood hahaha Belmont, redcliffe and ascot. is your brother still here. We can catch up for a drive in my FG XR6T MKII if you want? Are you from around Belmont cause I swear I have seen your car around here.
elwood dardy thanks for the offer man! Unfortunately he’s gone back home already 🇨🇦 next time I will make sure to organize a turbo ute 🇦🇺 Yeh belmont is my good aswell👊 If your FG is pumping numbers bring her on the show📸
Way to throw your little bro in the deep end mate 😆. My big brother taught me how to drive so I know how he feels, the little tacker killed it all things considered well done boys 🤘
Bros first time in a right hand drive car ? I remember making a couple of mistakes in Vietnam riding a motorcycle when i was living there being a left hand drive country 😂 Just bought a BA XR6 na , very clean car , would like to turbo it and put a ZF in it . Do you have any tips bro ? Cheers .
You should do a review on an Aussie bns ute they are the most Aussie thing out and they are so much fun maybe you should even make it to the biggest bns in aus the deni ute muster its in September cheers 🤙🤙
Man I'm an Aussie and I'd love to see the Ute in Canada on a video, never really thought much about Canadians vehicle's, but i can imagine their ain't much like an XR8 Falcon. Cool video.
@@RossReviewsau Apparently there’s a place in California who imports them, converts them to American specs and exchanges the steering wheel to the left, put a Pontiac dash in it and sells them for astonishing prices.
B series are the best. Love my NA XR6, not the most powerful falcon but with the 6 speed its got a bit of kick and is pretty fuel efficient for a big car.
@@RossReviewsau It won't be anything like an XR6T or XR8, but if you do, make sure it's a 6 speed BF. I've owned a BA 4 speed, and the BF 6 speed is a night and day difference. Also getting 10.5L/100KM's with it too which ain't too bad for a 1.7 ton car. The NA's are good for people on a budget who still want to get a taste of the barra. Got it for $4000, got lucky and it was one with the full premium package, 18" factory original alloys and dual zone climate control / premium ICC and a tow ball. Great car.
Sounds really great but you haven't got any back pressure so you would be losing a lot off performance from it. Would better very loud. Nice ute though.👍Thanks for sharing the video Ross.😃
Great reaction.. Lol you should try our HSV GTS or as you guys know them as G8's. Thank you either way for reviewing one of our cars, although both are no longer made here anymore. Take extra care of yourself with the Covid-19 virus. 💛🇭🇲🏁💙
@@RossReviewsau Sorry bro, after looking at your other content I realized your local Aus. I have enjoyed your work and looking forward to seeing more. Re James.
From the movie "the worlds fastest indian" i learnt the phase " anywhere in the world the driver always is in the middle of the road " Never forgot that .
I would have picked the black one at the servo but then I am a holden man....grew up with them so I guess that will never change, although I did have an old XC UTE at one point but I loved how the doors didn't have a window frame on them ....
MASTUR BIKER each time there own I will agree holdens look better “for the most part” but I’ve always liked the way fords seem to be a bit more of a handful! 😅🤷♂️ I love all of them tho to be honest I wouldn’t mind a SS either
@@RossReviewsau I haven't owned a car for 8 years now, just motorbikes, My nephew has the Holden G8 they badged and sold in America as the Pontiac, and my brother has an old HZ Ute, I've never actually owned a holden Ute, just the Ford XC. but 99% of the cars I have had have been holden, usually older 70's models, a few panel vans which were fun and practical...but I think I'll stick with my bikes until I can't ride anymore.......hahaha.
@@MASTURBIKER im a bike lover to.. always have been since growing up on motocross bikes.. only got a little 250 to shoot me to work and that at the moment but its still plenty of fun and cheap as chips
@@RossReviewsau I remember riding a postie bike around a mates orchid as a kid, then I had an old Honda road/trail bike for a short time in my early 20's, got my licence at 24 and my first bike 11 years later, I have two a KLR650 to throw the tent on and go bush, and a CBR1100 for the bitumen.....both are fun for different reasons.
Nice ute bro got 2005 BF XR6 Barra ute yellow hasn't got turbo though has extractors and sports exhaust system only and still goes like a rocket I'm happy and content with what I have.the only downfall with the ute at times the bluddy shakes and rattles in body ford should of picked up on that in design tests a bit slack in that department I reckon.
I'm a ford man and love the Holden Ute too!! Heaps of my mates use to work at old Holden plant in Elizabeth(bogan town) s.a just 2 clicks down the road.both ford and Holden dudes working in same plant.bluddy commodore drivers in Elizabeth they think they own the road always wanting a drag usually older ve commodores hero's ,ah how original, unemployed bogans with half dozen commodores in front and back gardens housing trust.drug money pays for their car hobbies.
If you want to have more of these utes in the future, take control over your country and its assets. Because of Ford USA, they forced the AU made cars to be axed. Would not happen if the people of the country ruled. Nice XR8 btw, but some people find it more difficult to adapt, that's the way it is.
Harley White it’s not the most powerful thing out there nor the best around the bends.. but I love this thing so much! N if I wanted to get the most out of it I could spend a few $$$ and I’m confident this old girl would fly..
