Just came across your channel. So impressed! Well done to you! 👍I have been making candles since 2015 but not sure how to approach shops. Although I would love to get my candles in any store. I know the hard work that has gone into it. Very happy for you. I wonder if you could do a video or advise on how you managed to get your candles into Harrods. Would really be a huge inspiration. I don’t think my candles are Harrods material but a video on how you did it will inspire many to try various shops. Especially since you were not selling your candles anywhere else before Harrods so I guess they would not have been able to know of you before hand. You have done well. Looking forward to hearing your story.Thank You for a lovely video

Hello lovely! Thank you so much for your well wishes. 2015, amazing! You’re a pro! I think as candle makers, our strength but downfall is that we are mainly product focused and not customer focused, it’s why I failed first time round when I launched last Feb. There’s a lot I did to upgrade my business which helped me get into Harrods. Unfortunately, if I make a video I’d only be skimming the surface as it would be impossible to fit everything in, which I don’t think would benefit anyone as there’s a lot about marketing I’ve learnt and implemented but it’s very detailed. So I think a 10min video might give the impression it’s easy or it’s one magic thing and you’re in. I am in the middle of creating a course I think it’s going to be about 10-15 hours long of all the tactics I’ve learnt and worked for me and I’m able to share info in a controlled environment with workbooks and case studies etc. Sorry rambling a bit but my plan is to have it live between Aug/Sept.xx

@@beloit1348 yup, so they found me through social media. I would say it’s not one specific thing but as a whole I’ve worked really hard on increasing brand awareness and marketing. I’m actually working on a marketing course for candle makers because my mind is blown in how much there is to know, learn and implement.

Hi lovely, aww thank you so happy it's helpful! I use CS2 wax from candle shack, wicks really depend on the jar, and fo, so it changes candle to candle. I would recommend buying different wicks and doing trial and error. V series and CDN are good to start with.

@@IshaniParbhoo forgot to ask - do you have problems with unsmooth tops with this wax? I find C6 and C3 have unsmooth tops which dont look pretty at all 😔😔

@@passioncommit8575 aww lovely, thank you! I will be from August needed a bit of a break but have lots of ideas so I’m excited! I get some contraction in the wax, so either try double pouring or using a heat gun. Dropping the pour temperature can help too! ❤️

Hey, I’m sorry I do not use that wax. My suggestion is to experiment with wick and % of fo.

Well done you have inspired me to do start my own business making candle and wax melts it’s Cauld DnD candle and wax please like my Facebook page please and I still struggling trying out get the right fragrance oils and wax and wicks combo I can get a good cold thro but not hot thro and my melt pull is tunnelling can not get a full poll flow sorry for bad spelling as I am deslexick I know I spelt it wrong 😑 but thank you for inspiring me
