The Wretched Spawn and Vile are heavily underrated. Frantic Disembowlment is one of my favourite CC songs ever.

Nice. My first time seeing CC was after Vile came out. I bought it on cassette and then saw them a week or two later with Anthrax and the Misfits. The Gallery of Suicide tour was sick too, Angelcorpse opened.

Damn, you have a massive collection man. All I have is The Bleeding original cd, and Evisceration Plague. When I was a teenager I got busted for smoking weed and my folks confiscated my cd's. They found my Tomb of the Mutilated and freaked out, haha (not sure what happened to that cd).

Kind of a weird compliment, but I can't believe you were able to get both videos within 5 seconds of each other. Great job dividing the two videos up!

Last Zac NA not intentional at all, but I noticed that too! I figured dividing the videos into the two eras would work out, but not that close haha

Vile is possibly my favorite Cannibal Corpse album. I feel it is usually ranked low in the discography among casual Cannibal Corpse fans (Loudwire ranked it as their worst album); however, it seems that the more die-hard fans rank it as one of the best. I think this is due to Vile being somewhat of a grower. The muddy and rather dry production is likely a turnoff to a lot of people. One of the ways I grew to appreciate the albums more and more was by reading through the booklet and learning the lyrics. When I became more familiarized with the song structures, I started to appreciate how truly unique every song is. The album has a very dark atmosphere that I don't find on many other albums from Cannibal Corpse. I always liked the album a lot and listened to it all the time, but eventually something just clicked with me about that album. For anyone reading this who is a bit iffy about Vile, please do yourself a favor and re-listen to it while reading the lyrics. I like reading lyrics to albums because it helps bring everything together and improves the fluidity of everything. Reading through and learning the lyrics to Vile made me appreciate it far more immensely than when I would listen to it as background music. Also, I have the German digipak version of it which is rather interesting. It includes live versions of "Hammer Smashed Face" and "Staring Through the Eyes of the Dead" with George Fisher on vocals. This is interesting because the first three albums were banned from Germany and those songs were not allowed to be performed at that time, yet that digipak version includes a live version of "Hammer Smashed Face", which is obviously from Tomb of the Mutilated, which was obviously banned at the time. I'm not sure how those first three albums are viewed legislatively in Germany nowadays. I know the ban got lifted in 2006, but I think Butchered at Birth still has problems. When the first five albums got reissued on vinyl in 2016, Butchered at Birth did not receive any versions from Metal Blade in Europe. There was also a problem with it and Tomb of the Mutilated being on Spotify a year or so ago. I know anytime one of the first three albums gets listed on the German eBay (ebay.de), it almost immediately gets taken off. I'm not sure what's going on with those albums. Kill was probably my first exposure to Cannibal Corpse as well. I was around eight years old when it came out and I remember seeing some of the music videos on MTV2's Headbangers Ball and hearing Cannibal Corpse on what was called "Hard Attack" at the time on XM radio on TV. Listening to that channel (along with Boneyard) helped introduce me to a lot of the bands that I love today. Kill was a surprisingly popular album at the time. Heck, even my cousin used to wear the shirt that featured the guy with the knife.

Loudwire obviously doesn’t know shit! Truly not a bad album in their whole discography.

@@grundlekid They also ranked House of God as the worst King Diamond album and think that horrendous songs like "Gates of Tomorrow" and "Wildest Dreams" by Iron Maiden are substantially better than songs like "Childhood's End", "Deja Vu", "Wasting Love", "Afraid to Shoot Strangers", etc. I know a lot of Maiden fans have a passionate disdain for most of the second half of FOTD, and I fully understand and appreciate that everyone has their own opinions, but come on now...

Nicholas What is it about CorpseGrinder era Cannibal Corpse that people find appealing? Every now and then I will try and listen to a CC album with George and I just can't bring myself to like them. His vocal style I think just isn't low pitched enough which is why I think Chris fit CC much better with their sound. Each of the first 4 Cannibal records all sounded unique whereas alot of the George era albums sound like it could be one gigantic album and there's not alot to tell the difference between them. There are a couple songs that I like from George era CC such as "Priests of Sodom" and "Evisceration Plague" but other than that I just don't see the appeal of that era of Cannibal. Can you give me some reasons why people like George era CC because I just don't understand it?

@@iamdeath4193 Considering you think Master of Puppets is watered-down thrash metal, I'm afraid I'm going to have a hard time convincing you why George Fisher era Cannibal Corpse is great. Haha!
