I agree with you on Sound of Perseverance. I don’t care what anybody says I love that album. It’s a little more progressive but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Pretty much every Death album is great in its own way.

Barnes has been sober almost a year now. No more weed, no booze etc. He's working on a new record once again with Jack Owen and company. I am REALLY, really crossing my fingers on this one. I hope he gets his voice back. I hope he's eating right, working with a vocal coach or something, idk.... We need Barnes to come back and give us a few more masterpieces. I 100% blame his ridiculous pot habit for the downfall of his lyrics, voice etc. Anyone who smokes weed 24/7 over a long period of time will eventually fail at everything. How can you stay on point when you are baked out of your fucking mind for 25 years?

In the CC: Centuries of Torment documentary (probably because I can't really remember) they talk about the Bleeding artwork. They said that they really loved the artwork for Eaten, Butchered and Tomb but they were a bit dissapointed by the artwork for the Bleeding (obviously made by Vince Locke). They didn't want to ask for a redisign of the artwork so they just stuck with it and cropped the image to just the torso of the women on the cover and added the full art on the inside, so it isn't censored.
Chris is the reason I got into corpse way back in the day. Corpsegrinder is a genuine lovely human being and an amazing metal singer who I have a deep appreciation for. That being said as much as I love corpsegrinder and I've seen them multiple times with him up front, Chris will always be my favorite CC singer. Before he fucked up his voice with all the eeeeeeeeing he was something special and death metal owes him a debt of gratitude imo.. he's a cucked out old prick with a shot voice nowadays sadly
I'm a Corpse Grinder fan boy... I love his era of Cannibal Corpse. I mean how do you not love Eviseration Plague, Encased in Concrete, Code of the Slashers, Sacraments of the Flayed, Inhumane Harvest, and As deep as the Kife will go?.... sorry Corpse Grinder's era is objectively superior, dude is the voice of death metal.
