I’ve really come around on Jar Jar since having a kid. But Mani is rocking this role. He goes for goofy to evil so convincingly. It’s really cool to watch. My only gripe is they really telegraphed the master was him in the prior episode. So the reveal was kind of ruined by the time he got to actually reveal himself. I think if they had more episodes to work with they could have dragged it out more and thrown in a few other red herrings to throw us so the reveal would be shocking. But with so few episodes and all the other characters they had to fit in this was probably the only way to do it. And at the end of the day is not the Smilo Ren show, it’s the Acolyte. It’s the Mae and Osha show.
