Some context when it comes to the Remove Brainwashings in my deck: Mobile Base and the other Vehicroid support that came out with it were released in late 2017. Around that time, and throughout 2018, Borreload Dragon was in everyone's ED. So Borreload was what everyone went for in order to deal with Mobile Base when I played Vehicroids in some jank tournaments. I recently decided to waste gems and play Vehicroids in the Legend Anthology event in Master Duel since I figured that the "boomer anime cards event" would be my best chance to. I left out Remove Brainwashing at first, and then lost twice in a row because my opponents made Number 11: Big Eye to take out Mobile Base. Unfortunately, Remove Brainwashing is UR for no good reason, so by the time I got the crafting material for them, it was way later in the event, and everyone I faced was just playing the loaner decks, so it wasn't even worth it. But yeah, I do still include it for paranoid/good luck charm reasons. I know it's cope and bad. Also, Joseph experienced the big weakness of Vehicroids here: Connection Zone is just not searchable enough, which is why he had to go for Necro Fusion, which provides no protection to Mobile Base. Zone also only gives destruction and effect negation protection, which is pretty good, but not good enough, hence the Brainwashings. None of this really matters tho, Polar Penguin is one out of thousands of perfect outs to Mobile Base regardless of what protection was or wasn't there. What Vehicroids also really need is some sort of easy to make Fusion with a negate on it. Lastly, yes, I couldn't craft Dingirsu in time. Master Duel sucks. Also, for those who care, the only royal rare in the deck is one of the Keepers of Dragon Magic.
It's not an excellent build to be honest(. Yes, Vehicroids have that.) Since just like me, you insist on using Ambulanceroid you need to be using Machine Duplication alongside Speedroid Menko and Tri-Eyed Die. You need a rank 6 and a rank 3 line with Beatrice, Dante and Ptolemy M7. Polymerization+Fusion Recycling Plant is a dozen times more useful than Connection Zone unless you plan on using the old school chain material.
1. I made the build in this video to be more of a meme so Joseph could laugh at it. The build I more recently used played different cards and didn't play Remove Brainwashing for example. 2. Ambulanceroid is a bricky card, and playing more of it to make Rank 3s does not seem remotely like an improvement to me. 3. I'll die before I play a single Speedroid. I mostly dislike that archetype. You didn't even present me with 2 GOOD Speedroids. You recommended 2 really BAD Speedroids. 4. I can't begin to fathom how going for more Xyz plays helps Vehicroid in any way. The Xyz monster line up is trivial, since Megaroid City and other cards lock you to Fusions for half the game usually. Although, a Rank 3 I HAVE actually played is Number 3: Cicada King, since it's a negate. Suggesting Dante makes you come off like you're stuck in 2016. 5. Connection Zone's protection is one of the ONLY QUALITIES VEHICROIDS HAVE GOING FOR THEM. If you use regular poly and poly's support cards, you're basically just playing a worse version of Frightfur or a way worse version of early builds of Branded or Prank-Kids, or any other various poly using decks. I can agree with the idea of replacing Connection Zone and other cards with better stuff, but you've not suggested anything better. Both your way of building Vehicroids and mine seem to just result in an equally mediocre deck with the same problems, so this discussion is irrelevant. Vehicroid would need new support for this discussion to matter. Even then, I remember seeing back in 2018 a Firewall Dragon loop Link spam build of Vehicroid that looked good, so I have to imagine that a more "excellent" build would do Link plays. I was expecting some youtube commenter to come out of the woodwork with some sorta "Erm, actually" reply, I just didn't expect it 7 months after this video went up. Go take your Speedroid Menkos someplace else, I didn't ask for or want advice, I don't care. @@iBloodxHunter
One of the hardest parts about revisiting old decks is realizing that they were 100% not built in a format with things like Ash and Imperm and as such fold easily to them. I've tried rebuilding things like Infernoid, Buster Blader, Yang Zing and more but they all run into the same issue.
I actually knew about that Numeron network interaction. Fun fact, Numerous Force also negates All other face up card effects except itself and the monster it summoned. Off network because it copies the effect, also gets the protection from the negation. If I hard opened a Calling I used Network to send force to Special C1 to negate and Banish all monsters
Fun story: i got one of my invites playing trains because of mobile base. You could bait all interruptions then summon stein, stein pay 5k summon mobile base, base summon another mobile base then overlay for gustav max and liebe for game. It came up really often. Shout out to barelyygo for enlighting me with this.
If I had a nickel for every time a Penguin Deck absolutely decimated Joseph in Jank Bank, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.
I do love that when penguins draw well they can actually do a lot, however every time I try to include emperor in a deck using penguins I draw so many hands with only it and no good way to summon it or the icejade that summons it and no emperor... In the end I almost always cut both emperor and that icejade and find the deck functions better...
I used to play Dragunity Synchros in 2009 right before they started ruling the formats. Now when I came back to Yugioh I came back to Remus, Aredabaihr, Senatus, Legatus, and all the other shit that has been added to this deck. Only now has people actually put the pieces together to win. Its kinda insane
I'm too old for "schoolyard staples" to be anything but hot garbage heaps backed by broken spells. Which might be why I enjoy messing around with power spells combined with silly multi-engine piles.
Oh shoot, really sad I missed this. Got a super fun Agent Deck I'm playing in MD that just does the craziest combos when uninterrupted due to abusing Venus not beeing a once per turn and Masterflare hyperion sending Dark venus recycling 9 shine balls a turn.
You know, I have an idea for a theme you can use for the next Jank Bank Joseph; How YOU would improve your favorite Yu-Gi-Oh Character's Deck for the current format?
I'll even answer my own question there: I was a huge fan of Bastion Misawa and his Water Dragon Deck, so I'd remove a lot of the more bricky cards in the deck(I mean, why have Summoner Monk, Kabazauls, Carboneddon and Jurassic World in there?!) and attempt to actually use it as it was meant to(slap a Water Statue and at least one of each of the new Water Dragon support, plus the usual one-off staples were currently all playing) and see where itd go....
Yep, first time i add numeron rank up magic: "wait, network might be use this spell from deck?". And spell not bad, all card's currently on field permanently negated(include network, ofc), exclude XYZ monster u summon with this spell.
As a goblin of bad cards Giant Grinder during the Gimmrick Puppet match would been really good. You could use it twice and still attack. So it wasn't the decks fault this time.
Hi, im the Best gimmick puppet player in the entire world (self-proclaimed) and that gp deck is not, in fact, the Best this deck is ever gonna look That builders first mistake was to attempt to play the archetype as intended, every card in the deck is designed to, in actuality, not function, and, as such, the correct way to play puppets is in fact to play them incorrectly Our archetypal payoffs on the look of it, are frankly awful, however this is because the payoffs we should look at are not the ones intended by the deck, but, instead, gimmick puppet nightmare The very few benefits puppets have are two: they have nightmare, and easy ways to search it They are machines This is the direction that must be taken to unlock the true gimmick of the puppets You may be thinking, but with the many locks from the archetypal cards, it is inconvenient, nay, impossible to play branded expulsion And to that you would be right Which is why instead, our secret card of choice is a much more ancient artefact, from the time immemorial of 2008; the normal trap card give and take.
The thing about Gemini's is that there is nothing really "Gemini" about them. They either have nothing, or some mediocre effect after using up a very precious normal summon. There should some stronger element of actual duality to them. I think they way Gemini's should work is that they have some sort of basic effect, and then swap to a much stronger effect if you normal them again. As it stands, using 2 normal summons to get essentially a pile of garbage just isn't worth it, and never really was. I think Morphtronics are in a way a good representation of what Gemini's could be at a fundamental level (just with battle positions instead of summons). Same could be said for the Arcanas.
