when you think about it, James quite possibly is the best pokemon trainer in the world(not fighting) James can tame any pokemon without a pokeball or battling it.

Okay if I'm being entirely honest I actually talk cheerfully about my childhood trauma as well... Not as cheerfully as James (I'm either a lot more passive aggressive when I talk about or just sound like "oh yeah that happened nothing special") but I do. It takes literally nothing for me to talk about it...you could literally be a complete stranger and I'd have no problems talking about it. Which is a problem (and was a much bigger problem when I was a kid before learning how to keep the more dark details to myself) seeing as how my childhood trauma isn't just kids beating me (I have actually never been physically abused....no not physically. Verbally is a different story) no, it's much worse. It's an entire train wreck involving multiple run-ins with a pedo pretty much every day (I'll let you fill in the blanks from there), being pretty much abandoned by my father shortly after he found out about the pedo incident (I was around 4-5 and my brother had just been born), my father coming back and leaving again like a person stuck in revolving door...AND unintentionally verbally abusing me (with maybe a hint of emotional abuse), me developing selective amnesia in regards to my dad where I lost all my positive memories of him and only keeping (and making new ones out of the positive memories) the negative memories, developing a _SEVERE, CRIPPLING_ case of Androphobia (fear of men. And keep in mind I didn't even have this from my run-ins with the pedo... because that trauma was almost entirely covered up by the trauma my father gave me. I was literally assaulted by a man and yet the thing that gave me a phobia of men was the way my father treated me), all the kids in my school (literally all of them aside from like 10 people) bullied me constantly, and I eventually became a selective mute and lost the ability to feel any emotions at all. I have since almost completely recovered (in fact I recovered early on in elementary school after I quite literally saw someone else suffering and was so empathetic towards her that I just kind of....stopped being depressed about my trauma? Not sure how that happened but it did.) although I'll never have a good relationship with my father like I did before but aside from that my PTSD is mostly gone with only a few triggers that rarely come up in anything but fanfiction and I've since learned how to feel emotions again (by faking them as a kid because I didn't want anyone to worry about me) and now I'm more concerned about other people's traumas....but the thing is...the _REASON_ that's a problem is because when I was a kid I thought nothing of telling people in detail about all this because to me it wasn't anything special because I had already gotten over it so I had no problems telling people....while smiling and laughing....which freaked them out.... Anyway... TLDR: went through a trauma train wreck as a kid. Got over it quickly but then started freaking people out by talking about it in detail until I eventually learned not to tell the darker details.
