I got into MCR just a few weeks before the worst depression episode of my life in 2016. I was in college and for months I'd just indulge in whatever helped me avoid all the bad noise. MCR was what I would reach for most. Videos, music, chilling on MCR Twitter and Vine, drawing stuff from photos and music videos, everything. As long as it had to do with them, I felt comfort in it. They truly helped me survive that era cause I know I sure as hell wouldn't have been able to make it out at all without them. When they announced their return in 2019, something literally just came to life inside me. I took it as a sign - a reminder - that no matter how dead something may seem, there's always a chance at revival. I was blessed enough to nab tickets in 2020, and I made a vow to improve myself. Better diet, fitness, self-esteem, all that. At first I fumbled hard due to the pandemic and certain consequences. The tours were never cancelled though, so I didn't want to give up. Finally in late 2021 things started shaping up again for me personally, and since November, I've stuck to my vow. I've been working out almost everyday, been eating better, been more mindful of my shortcomings and bad habits, and even when I mess up, I don't feel as ashamed and I'll get back to things as early as the next day. All this so I could make it to my shows (I'm taking my niece to another show, her first concert) being the best me I possibly can and shouting my thanks to them. I know they wouldn't hear me, but just being there and doing that is so much more than enough. At one of my shows, I'll even be meeting up with friends who I've met through MCR and friends who have fought so hard to stay here. I'm expecting it to be a whole celebration, one to honor those of us that are still here and to honor those who will carry on in our hearts and memories. God bless ya'll and remember to tell those you cherish that you love them. All of you have a purpose and I'm beyond glad you're alive 💙

Depression sucks, it really does, but I think that if people that is going through a rough time read stories like this, will help them a lot for sure. I was there during my teenage years, and I had a su1c1d3 attempt two years ago... last week I cried and hugged myself because I'm proud of who I am right now, and I keep getting better too. Remember, you are loved. And like I said before, so glad we are still here

it has been my biggest dream to go into one of their concerts. I happen to get married on January 2020 like right before covid hit. So many problems happen the next years and I almost quit. Now im bawling my eyes out, watching their performance. And I promise myself, I HAVE TO GO to their concert now that I'm no longer a teenager and that I will bring my hip-hop husband to this emo concert LMAO

Hey! I don't mean to sound too deep here, but I have almost overdosed numerous times since buying these tickets, the main catalyst being a friend of mine going the same way. As I was in that crowd, I cried my eyes out when they showed this flag, wondering if my name could have wound up on it. I feel like it's important to share this because I'm one of the lucky ones who made it out of the other side, and I share your sentiment exactly - everybody's memory will carry on.
