My CLA 45 AMG 2020 is BROKEN! 

I just wish Toyota and Mercedes teamed up to make a car that looked and went like that but was as reliable as Toyota’s are. That would be the very best thing ever!

Had the same issue with my cla45s , around 2000miles (2 months owning the car) when it happened . Replaced by Mercedes under warranty, so far so good.

with 30psi boost in that 4cyl engine, somethings gonna go

My 2019 C43 had similar issue but my dealer told me it was the boost pressure transducer/actuator. When it was not functioning properly, I had no boost pressure and the exhaust went into crazy pop mode, and it accelerated like a turtle.Thankfully they had it replaced under warranty. Some other AMG owners had experienced the same issue. I guess that’s MB’s design fault.

Had the squeak in mine, first month into ownership. Replaced under warranty took 2 days at the dealership.

That’s a pretty minor part. Hopefully they can get the manufacturer of the actuator to fix it with a better quality one. That’s not necessarily Mercedes’ fault

Well mine does kills the gas a bit when in low speeds and gears, its like the computers forget to inject gas and then remembers it so car shakes a bit at like 5-30/km/hr range. And sometimes it decides to change gear immediately at those speeds either. Btw exhaust sound is always saltatoric, its like increasing and decreasing in coldstartup. Is this your problem?

Hmmm..making the RS3 an alternative for me...I believe trying to maximize hp from a 4 cylinder is a problem waiting to happen..the A35 and CLA 35 are probably the best in their class as for as hp output..seems like this will be a problem every 10k miles...might wanna consider your trade options right about now

Also beware of the coolant and engine oil measuring low, happens to my A45S at 5000-6000km ...

Broken?!! OH NOOOOOO!! Not the engine of all things!! Your photo almost had me heart broken lol! I knew it was a staged photo for promotion of the vid, but still! Well we know nobody wants an utter, mutter, or stutter coming from an AMG engine! That just goes against anything AMG! 🙂 Sorry this happened! I'm anxious to hear the outcome once you go to Mercedes about this problem with the actuator. This shouldn't be happening, and I wonder if other owners of this model have the same issue. Makes ya wonder, right?

Interesting. This is one reason why I never buy new, no matter how much I really want one (I've broken this rule a few times tho!). Especially any car with a new engine design or type; there are always things that didn't show up during testing----the real world cannot be simulated. In three years when these come off-lease, this problem (and all the others---there WILL be others), will have been fixed. New models will likely have a new design or a new supplier for that part eliminating that potential issue. Since they've been under warranty during the lease, everything has been done by the dealer to full MB spec. Once it is fixed, enjoy!

I don’t know why mercedes always mess up with the cla and a class. I have a lot of people owning the a class and already have issues with 2,000km on the odometer. That’s terrible for a big company like mercedes....

No big deal when you have such a new car and still your warranty. Nevertheless, it still kinda sucks. 10,000 on it and the car breaks...

Yours must be faulty or something. I know lots of people who own the 45s version including myself and have had zero issues. Even the speakers are very good so don’t know why yours is poor.
