I test drove an M4 while it was still on the electronically controlled break in limit. In the comfort mode, it can drive like a Lexus if you don't push it, and you shouldn't. Then I test drove an M3 with 6K miles, and I do agree, you have to hold it from going fast if your preferred way of driving is Lexus style. Anyway, it's possible to drive it reasonably comfortable. But I only drive manual transmission, so it's much easier to control the car. Automatic requires more learning. 5 months isn't enough.
I am currently driving the CLA 45 S AMG and i am currently thinking about switching to the C63s Facelift. Would you recommend it? You drove both cars and you know the pros and cons so an advice would be greatly appreciated.
The dealership wanted 1K for a Service B on GLS. I completed myself for $321.00. This included oil, filter, cabin filter, break fluid change, and the purchase of a vacuum break bleader. Didn't need new wiper blades as we don't get snow and maybe 10 days of rain a year. I also had the tires rotated and balanced for free as I purchased the road hazard at Discount for $400.00 when I purchased the car. Most people don't know you can do this. It took me about two hours to complete it w/o any help.
I really don't understand how you crack a rim. I've been driving heavily for 15 years and never heard of anything like that. You really do have bad luck cause I would never pay that wheel and tire warranty for normal people that warranty is a cash grab
I don't recommend anyone buying this car as their sole vehicle unless you have a basic understanding of mechanical skills and tools to maintain your brakes/rotors/wheels/tires, wear and tear. If your 1st instinct is to go to a dealership, you already lost the battle. Find a local shop and establish a good relationship with them so that you can focus your funds on preventative engine maintenance and powertrain repairs. Most of the things he listed are DIY and RU-vid tutorials most of it 1/4 the cost he listed.
do you have a vta blow off valve? or any other induction sound mods? Im asking this because i have turbo discharge noise from my vta that sounds similar to the "pssss" on lift of youw car. is that all from the intake itself?
FCP Euro is your friend. And learn to do small servicing jobs yourself. The money spent servicing at "stealerships" you can buy your own set of simple tools.
It's really no. I was lucky enough to literally just get an M4 from my Brother-in-law while is was on vacation. It's literally still in my garage. I personally have driven a CLA45 and now own one of the new SL63. I can confidently say that the M4 kinda sucks a daily. 1. It sounds like shit. It sounds like a vacuum most of the time unless you're really hitting the redline. 2. It's inconvenient to park but mostly because the 360 camera doesn't engage in very logical moments. In terms of length, it's smaller than my SL so I don't mind at all . 3. It's a boat as he said. My SL is 1900kg. It's heavy as shit. The M4 is 1900kg but it feels at least 200kg-300kg more than my SL. The SL does have great tech to hide the weight, but still. The difference is shocking. 4. The steering is not direct & heavy as well 5. Back to point one, the dynamic gearing sucks balls. If you keep it acceptable, you need to be on a low-key engine mode where it s silent. If you want a loud engine you gotta deal with the "always fast gearing". Like brother, why are you keeping me in first gear at 40kph
It is not ugly. Beautiful! It’s a change from the BMW herd - people slow to understand change. I am one, didn’t “get it” at first, but have fallen in love with the 4’s new grill. Gets attention, stands apart - which is kinda the point of owning a sport coupé, isn’t it. Just ordered my 4 in custom paint color Rosso Corsa - “Ferrai Red!!!” Just in case “they” didn’t notice. 🤣
