Love that whipping tip to tailor harness adjustments. I’ve done that on loads of gear and I can’t recommend it enough. I’ve never ran a swivel on anything but I keep seeing the love for them so I feel like I’m gonna need to try it out soon enough. Great vid man, cheers!
Also I ended up customizing my vault. Cut that top part that always gets in the way when storing a saw. So when I was done it looked like a shembiner. I don't like to have to use 2 hands to stow or grab my saw. I like shembiners alot more just not how they made it to go on the saddle.
@@georgeacutabove2027 I love it. I have one of the originals, and it’s still going strong. I recently switched to the Teufelberger run, and have found it pretty much The same so far. Time will tell, but as far as managing a long lanyard, there’s no better way
@@therealzigzagman Gap Arborist Supply is great. I’m in York county P.A.and putting wood on the ground like a rabid beaver. I have been to their store several times.Shopped online more. The prices are good and the guys I dealt with know tree work.If you’re local and ever need a hand with something nasty let me know.
Nice man our saddle setup is almost the same..got the evo with monkey beaver suspenders the best suspenders I've found. Also was that a hipster I seen in the beginning? Lanyard adjuster?I want 1 but I have a art postioner and love it.
Yes. It’s the hipster. I had a positioner before this, and it’s also a very good device. I think the biggest differences I’ve found, are 1, the hipster doesn’t eat slack quite like the positioner, which i find a benefit. The positioner would eat up slack when i didn’t want it to. And secondly, the hipster is just a tiny bit easier to control when letting out/descending.
@@therealzigzagman really..sweet I'm definitely going to have to get 1. But honestly I was waiting for the other 1. The tower? I think. We're it has the extra link so that a carabineer can be attached to itself.
@@therealzigzagman Yeah I know right. I've been checking every so often since this coronavirus shit. He's making the hipsters I see them going in and out of stock. Idk your right there.
Yes. Every time you open it dmm recommends you replace the lock nuts. It comes with 2 extra. They can be taken apart and attached to hardware, splices, anchor rings, and whatever else. They’re pretty slick
@@dirkvangoethem4298 i believe it’s buckingham, but honestly, to this day i still use it. It’s probably 7 years old. Or at least the pouch is. The contents I keep updated
I think you'll shed some of that as time goes on. Your as bad as I, when it comes to getting over prepared. Still disciplining myself, to pack no more than I absolutely need. Nice stuff though. Much of it look's like mine. Difficult to leave shiny new gear in the bag, when your looking for an excuse to use what you invest so much into.
I haven’t. It’s a pretty sweet device. Swivel is a must in my opinion. I’m currently back on my art positioner just for the fun of switching it up. Very similar feeling devices
@@therealzigzagman I've been loving the zillion. I run it on a 20ft piece of tritech but I'm trying to figure out what device to use for my 15ft secondary lanyard. Most of the time it is Daisy chained and hanging from the back of my settle so I'm thinking smaller is better and it seems like the hipster is the way to go
