I'm a Christian as well and will not use birth control in my marriage. condoms will be my form of birth control when I get married. I feel like if my husband wants me to suffer so we can have condomless sex that it's extremely selfish. I've had two IUD and they all caused me excruciating pain that I would curl up in a ball and cry all throughout my period. I even had cramps when I wasn't menstruating. If that means a man wouldn't marry me because of it so be it. That's how strongly I feel about my hate for birth control. I tried hormonal and non hormonal. never again it's so unnatural and many women suffer all in the name of freedom.
I totally feel you on that! After trying different forms of birth control hormonal and non, and learning the dangers of them on our bodies, I stay far away from them. Communication and sacrifice (for both husband and wife) is huge in a relationship and something I find very important in this topic.
@Brandiisbeloved tell your husband to get a vasectomy if he wants no condoms. That seems fair to me 🤷🏼♀️ it's easily reversible and is practically pain free. I think all men should get them. Women suffering is so not worth it when there is an easy answer.
Same! Immediate pain relief, mood seems better so far. Periods coming and still no pain which would’ve been unheard of during my copper iud days. I’m happy for us ♥️
Thanks for sharing your experience! It's soooo good to hear your honest experience becausedoctors tell people that things will "level off." But common sense says, there's an alien foreign object in your body and the body will always be trying to purge it. It's like what dentists say with metal amalgams or with root canals. The body will ALWAYS be fighting those foreign objects.
My wife removed IUD due to the unbearable pain. Even sometimes now she is facing the same back pain and legs pain. Anyone faced the same? Or how long will it take to recover completely? Do i need to visit a doctor? Please give your inputs which will help her to fight strong.
I’ve heard it can take time but people do recover. Just be patient and give her lots of care. It sounds like you’re a loving and supportive partner 🙏🏼♥️
I finally got mine removed today after 8 years of heavy, long painful period. I also felt like it gave me bad mood swings during my period. Removal wasn’t painful. They recommended to have it removed while on my period. The removal wasn’t bad. My doc asked for a big cough and boom it was out!
I am so happy i came across your video, i was thinking it was me .. but after listening to your story, i think it's best to contact my doctor and tell her, my painful year and i cant take it no more, i don't wanna take hormonal pills really, but as you say, something has to change, as i write this down im in excruciating fertile paincramps, with a heatpack, about to curl up and cry. Something has to happen! Im done
That’s the narrative that’s heavily pushed by the industry but it’s just not reality. Sooo many women have suffered an array of symptoms that haven’t been studied, but are very real. I thought the same as you because I trusted my doctor, but realized over time that my extreme pain, weight gain, and mood swings were likely from my copper IUD. I got it removed 3 weeks ago and am feeling a world of difference. I’m sending you love!♥️♥️ do lots of research and trust yourself, don’t let any doctor tell you you’re wrong about what you’re experiencing.
Thanks for sharing! I'm thankful to have read the book Taking Charge of your Fertility. I have irregular cycles and track with my temperature and cervical fluid and use condoms/withdrawal during the fertile week. It's been working great for us and no surprise babies!
I got my IUD inserted a year ago and it was highly painful and slightly traumatic for me and I've been experiencing really bad pains like irregular from what they say normally and I'm so scared to even go back to the doctor because of the first time I'm scared that when they remove it and it'll be the same pain
My cramps and pain were so terrible but literally the second they removed it, it was a weight lifted off my chest and I was instantly in no pain! The removal was way easier than the insertion too for me! I’d get that thing removed if I were you!
The insertion was SO bad for me. 1 month after giving birth to my 2nd daughter. I am terrified of a painful removal but the side effects are harsh. I want it out!
I felt excruciating pain on insertion and for hours after (wish I’d booked the whole day off work) No pain during my periods at all, I’m super heavy for one day and then light spotting for the rest of the week… I’m only 3 months in though so it could all change for me soon 😬
So glad your pain wasn’t so bad. Mine was excruciating and I was in agony for months. 😢 it did settle down but I’ve just got it removed and wondered if all the issues Ive suffered since have been because of it. Including the fact I’m anaemic. Maybe it’s my 8 day periods? Excited to see how I feel now.
I think it solidly took me one year to get used to the paraguard. Got pregnant after 7 years of having the device, even though it was placed correctly. Not sure how I feel about it now. It worked until it stopped working I guess! Hopefully it progresses. Got it removed a few days ago, increasing the odds for miscarriage.
I’ve had my paraguard for over a year and I have horrific periods! Minimum of 8 days and I bleed so heavy I got through super plus tampons I’m like a few hours it’s crazy! Having mine removed in a few days and I can’t wait!
I had the Nexplanon for 4 years. It screwed up my body. I was extremely moody and i had the worst anxiety. So i decided to switch and get the Paragard. I've only had it for 4 days and I'm freaking out. All the possibilities that could come from it. I already don't like it. I feel horrible.
How are you doing now on the hormonal birth control? I am getting my copper iud removed tomorrow. I tried birth control many years ago and it made my anxiety and depression so bad that I am scared to try it again.
So I was on the hormonal birth control for maybe a month after I went off the iud and hated it. And went the natural family planning route. And my hormones were so much more balanced after going off everything! I was able to be most in tune with my body that way. We did get pregnant several months after going off everything but we were also trying at that point too. But now I’m 9 months postpartum and I’m not on any form of birth control and my body feels so balanced again.
Thank you for being so honest! From my Experience the copper IUD made me feel like sh*t! I know they say it has no hormones but it must have something! My mood is so much better, I can think straight, I’m not in any pain and I feel like me again personally i wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, I know we’re all different but it was awful 😢
Ooof yes!! It’s crazy how even with no hormones it still effects us so much! I’m so glad I had gotten it removed and will never use any form of contraception again. I’ve learned better!
Pain in the body translates to pain in the mind. Even without hormones, this IUD can affect your emotions. I wish doctors would acknowledge this fact. 🥺
@@Angelas.Eye_I can't speak English, I use Google Translate, I feel how painful the IUD is, it's been removed for 1 week, how long will it take for these anxiety symptoms to disappear?
I have my copper iud a year now, and since I have it, I'm monthly 2 weeks in pain. I always felt my ovulation, but i could handle it. Since I have the iud, I have extremely bad cramps my fertile period, then I'm a couple of days cramp free and 5/6 days bf my period starts my cramps starts even worse, that I have a hard time getting through the days in pain! When my period comes in, I am pain free. And this for a freaking year, I had it checked out with internal echo, after 6 months. there was nothing wrong the gynaecologist said, it was perfectly placed. I was like okay, I'll see how it maybe will be fine, 6 months later now, I can't take the pain anymore, it makes me feel so sick and I have two kids, and we don't want to have more children. Insertion was so painful, and I'd birth 2 , i did read it can hurt less if you already had children.. but at this moment, I try dealing with the pain, bc I don't want to get pregnant no more and my partner doesn't want to ✂️.. but I'm done with using any birth control.. iknow chances are still there to get pregnant with iud, but without.. we're playing with fire.. I also have pms and at this moment I just don't now how to continue .. I doubt keeping the iud or getting rid of it. My periods are not longer or worse ever since : 3 days and 4th day it's almost done. Someone told me to get a other one. Mayb it will give less monthly pain. But I don't want to go through the insertion again. I also know that every person reacts different on these things.. mine happened to be not positive. The pain is unbearable
Update! I did took it out 12/12/23, and since that moment, I never had these painful days. So conclusion, that uid was making me feeling sick. Listen to your body! I wish I knew this beforehand, I did my research, but it's more common than I thought.. I'm not against uid. I'm mayb going to try the Mirena uid, I know when it's not okay. I dont have any video uploads on my page, but mayb I should do a video of this for my dutch people.
Watching your video now It's been over a year i got it and i'm having really bad anxiety, these past two days my body is shutting down Like you also mention stress is so bad.
I notice I have eczema and my periods are terrible , I have bad acne , long heavy periods and my ovulation pain every month is excruciating, for a iud to have no hormones I’m definitely experiencing some crazy symptoms I think I’m allergic idk
I’ve had the opposite experience- the insertion was EXTREMELY painful. I couldn’t even steady my breath and I was embarrassed because I was practically whimpering! The cramps from my uterus being dilated and the piercing from the tool they used was the most painful experience. I’ve had multiple surgeries, chronic ear pain, and teeth removed without numbing…the IUD insertion was up there on the same level for me. It took me 7 days to heal from the trauma on my uterus, in extreme pain and the most intense bloating ever. After that, I’ve had a bit more cramps than normal and a bit heavier flow but other than the occasional jolt of pain in my lower back, it has been a good experience.
I’m sitting here, watching you share your experience, while eating some pizza, but I literally just got done removing my own copper iud. I said a prayer to God to make sure nothing went wrong with my at home removal and I’m perfectly okay! Dude, my strings were like 3” long! And my cervix usually is very easy to find, it sits like right there ya know, but i have never bled more in my life whilst having this iud in me! Like filling a pad and super tampon within a couple hours, and the cramps were also super awful! I have absolutely been having copper toxicity symptoms, major depression, major anxiety, heart racing, palpitations, mood swings, knee and back pain, so I was so anxious to get it out that I literally just did it myself a few moments ago. I felt a little sick to my stomach afterwards, and it was painless to pull out, kind of difficult to get a good hold on the strings cause of the slippery-ness going on, but I currently have very, very mild cramping and I bled a tiny bit, like it came out on the iud, but I feel a relief already.
I would say my acne is better now since I’ve really focused on all around gut health and made a lot of lifestyle chances. So im not sure I can attribute it just to getting it removed or not at this point!
I’ve been doing charting for prevention for two years since I had my tubes tied using clamps and STILL had a baby. Having my tubes tied wrecked my hormones; I also hit premature menopause. My periods were down to barely anything for two days and I was barely a hundred pounds and had no libido. It’s hard for women to choose.
I've been on it for 3 months almost 4 and I haven't gained weight but it's making it hard to lose but I just started supplementing with zinc and I feel like it's helping but not sure just yet since it's only been a week I can tell you I'm not holding onto water like I was
I got a copper IUD after I had my baby a few months ago. I ended up going to the hospital with a swollen neck about a month after i have been to doctors and turns out i have a hyperactive thyroid iv been having so much face swelling weight gain tiredness im miserable i keep asking my doctor's if the iud has anything to do with it but everyone keeps saying no? Im so tempted to just get it taken out because I can't feel like this anymore! Idk what to do?
@@ThisFaithfulHome did your periods stay on their usual cycle or did you have to wait a bit for the first period. I am still waiting for mine to come but have have had a few symptoms, just no cramping at all which is so unusual
