START TAKING A CORRECTIVE SHOWER BESTIE!💗🧴🚿 This is my corrective shower routine which focuses on fading body hyperpigmentation, body acne, strawberry legs, etc. I do this about ONCE a week to really target some of the skin concerns on my body! Tip on dry brushing, at the one spa I visited, the esthetician told me treat dry brushing like you would your hair, the heart being the ends, and do small strokes at the point closest to your heart, and work your way into long strokes. So if doing legs, start small strokes on upper thighs, work towards calves, and feet, and then long strokes from feet all the way up to things. Like brushing out hair. It’s made finding a system easier for me to stick to

Body skin care is my thing so I definitely loved this video. I am not into physical exfoliation with scrubs, just a bit too harsh for me BUT I found this 5 acid body peel by Makeup Artist's Choice and it is everything! I use it once a week when I do my micro facial peels. My skin stays glowing. For cleanser, in the winter I tend to be drier so I use La Roche Posay Lipikar Wash AP+ face & body wash and the triple repair body moisturizing cream. Both are unscented so they don't interfere with my perfumes. Also, for those of us who use loofahs and/or shower gloves, I highly recommend soaking them in a bit of white vinegar (the cleaning kind, not the cooking kind) and water for 30 mins or so once a week. Keeps them clean and fresh.

It’s so weird to me that “double cleansing” is now a thing. Until recently I always thought that cleansing everything, rinsing, washing again…was just STANDARD hygiene. Who knew the rest of the world was only half bathing. 🤔

For a lot of people we never truly get taught how to bathe we are told “Just make sure to get all your knooks and crannies” but we never learn how to actually cleanse and take care of ourselves

To control how much comes out of slather - do not fully remove the silver seal; pierce the seal with a needle- this will allow you to control how much comes out :)

I never thought of putting perfume in a body oil, but since I am frugal I am going to use coconut oil oil and olive oil together. Lastly put peppermint and perfume in my oil, Voila!

😎 Hear me out… stop neglecting your back, neck,& bottom. I dry brush the top half in the morning, bottom half at night. Then once a week I use Kp bump eraser allll over. The next day, a Paula’s Choice bha for my face all over my legs/arms and The red stuff from The Ordinary on my feet before exfoliating in the shower. Nivea after for extra moisture. I love having a perfect body as a foundation to getting ready. SUNBLOCK that makes me glow daily… SUPERGOOP PLAY spf50 . I hate sunburns but the glow is amazing! No white cast either.

Naturium The Smoother Glycolic Acid Exfoliating Body Wash has been a recent addition my routine and I love it! As far as the body lotion, currently I use NIVEA Vanilla and Almond Oil Infused Body Lotion but I’ll try the one you recommended next.

I went and got that Nivea girl off your recommendation! 😂 and it is definitely top tier. It is the final step on top of my Aveeno tone and texture that I’ve been using for a while now! So thanks girl! Also, Have you considered electrolysis? For the area? Im not sure if you’d be a candidate but if you find an experienced tech, it could be worth the investment.

I used a exfoliating rag everyday and eventually it cause a rash and my skin became more sensitive. I was told by my doctor that i’m breaking my skin barriers. Any tips? Bc I feel like the exfoliating ray is the only thing that truly gets the dirt off

Do you wear sunscreen? If you're exfoliating your skin every day, you're constantly revealing new layers of fresh skin that can be sensitive to things like the sun. Maybe you're rubbing yourself too hard?

Your usually are supposed to exfoliate your face at most 3 times a week, I imagine it’s the same/similar with the rest of your body, basically don’t use the exfoliating rag everyday and focus of hydration and moisturizing your skin for now

Esthetician here! Some people’s skin is more durable than others. While I don’t recommend anyone exfoliating every single day, it may just be that your skin is not equipped for that. Exfoliate twice a week and find a good nourishing moisturizer! Keep that moisture barrier healthy. And like she mentioned, double cleansing is the way to go. You can use a soft rag or body silicone sponge just be gentle with it. (If this is for your body)

The material and then the shape. A loofah is a pouf shape, and an African net sponge is a long cloth like material. Similar to the japanese or korean salux nets.
