your muffins / cupcakes may have been slightly firmer than you expected as the glass bowls might have been hotter than if you baked in a cake pan or muffin tin 😉 I think I’ll have pears with mine though - oranges clementines aren’t quite in full season - in a couple weeks we’ll have citrus fruits everywhere along with Christmas decorations - enjoy what’s left of your autumn weather 🇨🇦🙏

Agreed. Glass has a different heat transference in the oven than aluminum or enameled cast iron. Different results from different bakeware.

That’s so sad! You just found the Korean market and they’ve closed 😞 I enjoyed the baking shop! They had so much! So many different flours and powders 😮 So many cookie cutters you could make anything a cookie 😂 No you can never have too many t-shirts 😆 I was looking at some the other day and I just bought 2 a few weeks ago 😅 I restrained myself though and didn’t buy any. The cakes looked yummy 😋 So did dinner. Leftovers are great as it saves so much time no matter when you fixed them 😂

I agree, leftovers do make the job easier. Oftentimes when I make dinner, I make enough to cover the following day's lunch as well. Makes it easier.

I love baking more in the Fall Season too. I just bought a new Turkey cookie cutter. We celebrate thanksgiving in America in a couple weeks. We associate turkeys with this holiday. 🦃 Wow! There were a-lot of different flours to choose from. I find it interesting that you use pumpkin powder. We use canned pumpkin usually but occasionally I cook a whole pumpkin & then purée that. It’s so cool that you were able to go to your sons recital. Watching our children perform is one of the rewards we get as mamas. I love having buffet suppers! So many delicious things to choose from. Hi Linna! My son Jack and his wife are coming tomorrow. I made him candy buckeyes. It's peanut butter rolled into balls and dipped in chocolate. I make them every year for him for a Christmas present. I enjoyed your video as always. Do you celebrate Thanksgiving in Japan? The recipe for the candy buckeyes are 1 jar of creamy peanut butter 16 oz. 1 stick of butter- 1 lb powdered sugar. Mix together with mixer. Then roll into balls. As you are rolling the balls put them on cookie sheets that have wax paper on them and put the cookie sheets in the refrigerator to chill. When chilled take out cookie sheets with peanut butter balls. Take a 12 oz bag of chocolate chips and melt in microwave. Then dip peanut butter balls in chocolate and put each peanut butter ball back on cookie sheet after dipped in chocolate. After all peanut butter balls are dipped in chocolate and back on cookie sheet. Put cookie sheets back into refrigerator so chocolate will harden up on the peanut butter balls. Then enjoy

I so enjoy visiting with you beautiful Linna. Did you know there is a street in Tokyo called Korea Town? It is full of restaurants and shops that sell ingredients from Korea. I watch, also, a vlog Tokyo Hare, about a Korean couple living in Tokyo and the one last Saturday they went again to Korea Town to eat and get ingredients from home. I want to also say a very big thank you to you Linna. After watching you buy and eat Persimmons, I found them in my local store and bought them,, finally. They are so delicious and I shall be buying them again.❤❤❤👵🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🌹🌹🌹

I love baking year round but with the heat I often simply don't want to use the oven (but love making lemon flavoured baked goods in summer). Now traditionally, as it's the season for apples, we bake apple pie. The Dutch version has quiet a thick crust that stays firm, just apple pieces, cinnamon and sugar mixed an put in the pie and a simple lattice pattern on top. Most people put raisins in as well but we never do that as I don't like that. My daughter had her music recital before summer break. She played violin for 2 years in at her old school (they either learned violin or piano). It was strange to see as she never had to practice at home so it was the first time seeing her play at all.

Hello Linna!! Wow, that baking shop was so cool! I would spend so much time and money in there, haha. I really enjoy making cookies, so the cookie shape cutouts would definitely be my go-to. I am so sorry about the Korean store! I hope they reopen sometime. Ahh the Pokemon Center! When I go to Japan, I would love to go to one of the many Pokemon Centers. I have a Pokemon collection where I collect just Mew plushes and cards. The cupcake and orange looked delicious. What a great combo! Now, I am craving a cupcake. 😂 Thanks so much for sharing!!

The groceries are cheaper than what we pay here in the Netherlands. If you want to buy meat, vegetables, tofu, and other products, it's between 100 or 150 euro at least.

A little tip for baking...you start with flour and end with flour when mixing. It just makes a difference. Chemistry of the ingredients. That almond cake would've looked nice with a bit of custard or syrup. Or even ice cream.

Hiya Linna, so sorry you have not heard from me for a while only I have not been well at all. I was carrying shopping one day and I was nearly home. Suddenly the pavements were very crooked and I fell. My shopping went everywhere and 3 people tried to help me immediately. Then I'm laughing now but not at that time I was splayed as if I was swimming. I couldn't move because I heard my ribs crack. They had to call an ambulance because I was in so much pain. I'm hysterical at this point thinking no no no but I still couldn't move. Anyway someone took my shopping home with directions etc and I went to hospital. I was faffing about the shopping in my head. They gave me a Scan and I had broken 2 ribs. It was so hard to breath thought I was gonna die Its excruciating I thought I would never get out of there but I still found it difficult to breath and I could hardly walk with the PAINS. THEY KEPT ME IN. I was mortified. Later my husband came in , and gave me a big Lecture. So that got me out shopping for a few weeks . Then just as I was finding it easier I fell again. It was right in th same place as before . You couldn't believe it. This time though the hospital thought I had puncture a lung. After a while I came home and they said I will book you in again for a few weeks trying to make me laugh but I tried not to because of the pain. Linna I thought I would never get better 😢 but I'm on the mend now. I have watched you every week though I wasn't able to write back. I said to my husband that I think you would be wondering where I was but I'm back now Linna hopefully no more falls. I will be sure I will write to you every week and no more falls. (Hopefully) I hope your boys are enjoying classes again and everyone is well. We have had terrible storms here for weeks now several people have died. Its quite sunny today but with a fierce wind.
