My Crafter melds for level 100 ilvl 690 gear

even tho we don't know the stats required for the new battle gear coming out in patch 7.05 doesn't mean we can't meld our crafter gear. i always replace my old melds with the new materia and it always was enough.

If you do your first overmeld on each piece with grade 10 instead of 11 or 12, and only use grade 9 and lower after that you can save a LOT of gil and still wind with something like 4863/4836/614. At the very least I would suggest using this approach on your tools, since that's 16 pieces of gear that only amount to the equivalent of one extra materia worth of stats on each gear set. If you're swimming in enough gil that cost isn't an object, then you probably don't need to take anyone else's advice on how best to meld. :D

Tbh I ain't crafting gear this expansion so I just need alchemist and culinary melded for food and pots. Once I give everyone else their rotations. Then I'll probably just use the scrip tools for the rest of my jobs to make it easier for me.

Hello I'm new to crafting how do you guys know how much Craftmanship / Control / CP to aim for? Same question for gathering how i can know what's my Gathering / Perception / GP goals are if i want to be able to craft everything and gather everything too.

Gathering is easy game tells you the requirement to gather legendary nodes. Then it tells you the stats required to get the characteristics for buffs. For crafting ppl wait until the master recipe books come out then meld their gear based on the required stats stated on the recipes. For me I just replace my old melds from last expansion with the new materia from the next expansion.

Stupid question, but how did people have pentamelds so early in an expansion? I saw people with max melds a few days in. Where are they getting all the materia? Like it makes sense a month post launch as you can buy it, but the first week there couldn't have been much available.

Alot of ppl spirit bonding there level 100 gear with potions and better crowned pies while farming purple scrips and orange scrips. Its really easy to farm the materia.

but still we dont know the breakpoints of master books bec they are not released. i think is in 4 weeks if im correct and also Ashen said the big mistake people did in endwalker was to do expensive melds on start for crafters and then after master books went on they needed to remeld everything again and that mistake cost big amount of gil. for gathers yes u can do the super expensive pentamelds bec we have the legenday nodes released but for crafters its not so good. any reation on this opinion please?

True we don't and I'm aware of Ashe PSA he did. But I know that scrip users can make the gear as well which is weaker than pentamelded and they don't have offhands or accessories. So as long as left side melded gear beats out scrip left side we are already in the green. Accessories I melded what was not in the gear and if I need more I replace the final meld with grade 11. So I'm not worried it I always go off my old melds which has worked for me since heavensward.

Is the gear we got for crafting and gathering the gear we are going to have for the raid patch? I thought we were getting 2 start gear for gathering and crafting as well?

That's in 7.1 this is just battle gear. Crafting gathering gear is 7.0 7.1, 7.3 (battle gear is 7.05, 7.2, 7.4 patches)

I never go by team craft cause I go by past experiences. The software unfortunately lead to players losing a lot of materia due to miss information. But I'm about 95% confident in my melds. But I recommend saving up materia and waiting for July 30th to meld.

After you know what the stats required for the next level 100 2star recipes are I would demeld it and turn it into the Grand company. So no reason to have it.

Its only 3 CP on each except rings so 9 CP ain't really worth it unless extra control or Craftmanship doesn't effect anything.

@@ZaneLionhartffxiv Thanks for this. My stats are Craftsmanship 4813 and Control is 4478 at the moment but that's just basic melds and not Pentamelded. It finishes gives me 98% Quality but it's all good. when I meld in all the control I am sure it will be better.
