Watching this is making me realize I really need to learn how to use Notion. I don't have a team, it's just me, but this would be a great way to keep tabs on everything I'm doing on my blog -- and maybe with video content if I ever decide to do that again.

i dropped out of college back in 2015 and i just want to say that you were the person that completely changed my life around. i stumbled across one of your old note taking videos (i think) randomly and you totally inspired me to get my life together and to get more organized. since then, ive obviously watched other productivity youtubers, but you were the original channel that got me into this realm of youtube. before, i never wrote anything down and i never even put anything into my calendar. i was just kind of winging it in life. since binging most of your channel, i’ve started organizing my daily life into my calendar, bought an ipad, and enrolled back into school. i start on the 24th of next month and i’m so excited to be doing something with my life again. i’m also totally prepared-i’ve organized everything i needed to do in the to-do app i use (agenda), and ive gotten everything almost checked off! i was already about halfway through my AA in CC, but i do plan i transferring for my BA. thank you ali, from the bottom of my heart.

Legit same, this video's ACTUALLY teaching us the sequence of steps involved in Uploading content to RU-vid regularly, without having to run out of ideas or start on blank paper! A book I've been reading by Seth Godin describes artists & creators as being engaged in "The Practice" of making and delivering content as often as possible, which generally means you will be engaging regularly in a sequence of steps, practicing your workflow, getter better each time, much like playing the guitar or learning a new language, there's a framework designed to get you there, the framework for RU-vidr's isn't quite as clear or distinct but it's there haha!

You mentioned Evernote when you were not organized as if it’s not a tool for organization in itself. Notion has great management/organization features like no other tool, and it’s free (awesome). However what is still making me sticking to Evernote is: Mobile apps: Notion’s apps are nothing in mobile terms. Offline sync: Even on desktop, I still can’t open a note in Notion if it was not loaded before. Web Clipper: It’s the real #1 feature that is unique in Evernote. Search: Evernote is my own Google engine. Amazing. Free my mind: The friction required to have a quick note for something in my head is very minimum in Evernote, whether on computer or mobile. In Notion it’s far higher, and at its maximum when on mobile. Smart camera: Evernote takes smart pictures of my stuff and makes it usable in a compute. It’s not just a photo of a paper. It will recognize the boundaries of the paper, crop any extra spaces, and digitize it as if it was originally taken on a computer, not a paper. Reliability and fluidity: Evernote just works. I take a small note on mobile while I’m away of computer, and once I return, it’s there. Sync is very fluid, and the app is usable whether on a connection or not. I like the organization features in Notion, and I hope I can use it more beside Evernote, but one feature I beg for it for a long time that will help me is just ignored. I want to be able to have internal links of my Evernote notes in Notion. It works in many apps in my Mac, but Notion nothing.

"donut" is an Americanized spelling and "doughnut" is the original spelling. the comment was saying that using British spelling was smarter than using American spelling, A M pointed out. As soon as I saw Notion I was clicking. When you mentioned video creation I thought of Thomas Frank and his video. Interesting to see a behind the scenes look at your process. No formula properties in there though. I like to make my progress automatic so I don't have to move the project along I just click done on my task and progress automatically changes, all personal preference of course. Great video as always!

I had no clue such an application exists. My process is one hell of a mess writing my scripts in Google docs, which has 0 structure, using google calender to give me a schedule. It is all a huge mess. And the biggest part is that I always start from scratch after a video in terms of ideas. I have no way to organise ideas from start to finish like a kanban board and no process to validate them if said ideas are even good. Notion looks like it could solve a lot of these problems in one clean swoop. And this videos helped me a big deal understanding the problems better and how to solve them.

So assuming your Notion workspace is logged in on your laptop as well, you can just click the link to his template in the description and it will open in your Notion. Then click Duplicate and it will show up in your Private Pages.
