We install some power mods from powerdriven diesel to give our fummins a little more get up and go. Check em out! powerdrivendiesel.com/ Follow me on Instagram: / westengw Facebook: / westengw
Westen and Dom.....your best video to date! great work guys! I love how you went through the upgrade process, finished the install, and then road tested it. Super fun to watch. And thank you for not wanting to smoke everybody out on main street. Shows you got integrity as well.
5:13.... His mullet is my spirit animal and you sir are on your way to 1 million subs. Keep it simple and viewer friendly and I can't wait to watch the next 1.5 to 2 years of your channel growth.
I just ran across your videos today Sept 4th 2019 , I'm not married to any Truck brand . But I am a automotive enthusiast. And I'm feeling trucks right now. I'd say keep the Fummins around as a shop truck. That way everyone can see you are one hell of a Diesel mechanic. And on to the next project. Thanks
I had a '95 12 valve. Did the injectors- up one stage, #10 fuel plate , commercial air filter. Zoom, low end smoke and wow did she pull. Didn't have to change turbo. Was an easy effective upgrade.
I wonder when diesel truck drivers will get it that no one gives a fuck about them creating massive clouds of black smoke. It doesn’t look cool, or make you look cool. You just look like a fucking ass hole. Grow the fuck up.
I can barely even spell DIESEL, but I would watch Westen talk about 'em and work on' em every day of the week and twice on Sunday! Power fuel plates, injection torsion springs, turbo actuator control throttles - where are my wrenches, I wanna work on diesels!! WooHoooo 😁👍 OH, and McDoubles per hour gauges!
I found this channel last night and it had 190k subs. Now, 13 hours later it has almost 193k. Good job dude. I love the channel, i'm a farmer and do similar stuff all the time. Can't wait for the bigger turbo.
I can do disc brakes myself but put me in front of drum brakes..well you might as well be teaching me Chinese algebra, lol. I like learning new things and diesels have always mystified me for reasons unknown, no idea because in reality they are very simple engines once you get down to it.
You sir are a breath of fresh air, I laugh so hard when you start explaining stuff my wife wants to know what’s so funny. Now she wants to watch when you post a new video. Better than Saturday nite live in the old days. Thanks
Thanks for the Video..... That was pretty awesome.... from two burgers to no burgers.....lol..... Its interesting watching you after watching others do similar and how much better your results are. Keep them coming, and I'm still waiting for my ride.....lol.......
Love the video!!! I vote for a compound turbo setup! Also, could you please make a video explaining how you find all these great auction trucks? I'd love to do this same kind of project soon! Thanks a bunch!
I would love to put a Cummins in place of my 1993 7.3 idi if it ever goes out on me. But then again the 7.3 idi is still a pretty good motor & gets better mpg than that Cummins. Plus the power to weight ratio is way better with the idi of 900lbs & 1200lbs for the Cummins and that for a 6liter I6 the 8.3 is even heavier. The funny part is that the DT466 weighs the same as the Cummins w 7.6 liters of displacement.
Just found this channel and I am beyond excited to explore. Im already looking for trucks to create a "Fummins" of my own! Great content delivery and information! You guys seem like you would have some really great shop hangs all the while accomplishing tasks & projects. Thank you.
Liked, Subscribed & activated Notifications, Best thing about that Ford is of course the Cummins! Don't have to bad mouth the power stroke, it's reputation precedes it! Don't get me wrong now they're good, they make a great buoy anchor! Fellow Cummins owner, Washington State David G.
Keep the turbo sized moderate for killer throttle response and driveability, a flat torque curve is what you want, skip the racer boy crap if you want to tow with it, 450hp is plenty to keep it reliable and useful... What's a truck if it ain't useful after all that work!? I think a 2003 dodge turbo might be a good one for this power level to keep quick spool and hit hard and stay a simple build.. But compounds work too The latest trucks aren't even at the 500hp mark and will absolutely tow like crazy, it's amazing how much a stock 2015 truck will pull regardless of the make, they all tow more than one will usually need.. The chassis and brakes are more important than the hp number and the truck you picked is an awesome donor for what you're doing, Im jealous, my 08 f250 was lifting the heads and I tossed it... Keep up the great vids and maybe watch the adult words kids in the room :-)
Can't wait to see this complete the truck is better and better each episode I wish the episodes came more frequent and as I enjoyed watch you guys work on these things enjoyin can't would see the of the video
I got compound turbos on mine and the only smoke is off the tire spin . It spools uP AND YOU GONE . 700 hp . If your smoking out the exhaust your just wasting fuel .
Henry Infinite neutrals lol. I do love the Allison transmissions. Chevy finally made decent trucks when they quit putting weak car transmissions in their trucks and called Allison!
I dont know anything about what you're doing but I love following along on this build. You are a natural and I enjoy watching your videos. Dont know how you where long sleeve flannel shirts in this midwest humidity....Id be cussing like a sailor, sweatin like a maniac. Big fan from up the road in Omaha!
Got my s369sxe from power driven it’s amazing I believe they said s488sxe for compounds after I add fueling.. hands down best cummins guys to work with!! Love the videos man👍
I am not a mechanic or ever worked on a diesel, but I'm glad I found your channel. Always fun to watch and laugh. Looking for the diesel in the Mustang!
Blowing smoke is wasting fuel, unburned fuel, it takes more than throwing fuel to make power. Air density density and proper ratios are the key to power. Will see what kind of Frankenstein you create with this set up.
Hey Westen, you know you won't be satisfied with just a bigger turbo.....I see many more videos of upgrades in this trucks future....700hp, that'll be enough.....for now 🤣😀🤣😀
😃😃😃. Nice! My 05 5.9. 24v pushes about 410hp. Puffs a little coal and spools out clean. Ol Brutus has a pile of parts added on it also! Maybe when ol Brutus finally rusts away..... this would be a good use for a great engine! I'd like to try it with the Allison transmission.. 😁
