Sorry to hear of your loss brother!! I live over here in ca, I love the content your putting out. The time is nearer, and it’s getting more clearer especially over here. But I really wanted to say I think your videos are helpful I’ve been thinking about doing a sawmill and I got the book you recommended on essential gardening, a lot of what you said about the mark of the beast seems closer and closer so thanks for sharing that. I don’t agree with salvation through works of the law, but I don’t believe you think God necessarily save through obeying them, I’m just not sure what you believe when it comes to following the old covenant laws and how they’ve talked about its replacement in the gospels, Romans, Colossians Galatians Hebrews. I know the Spirit will give us eyes to understand if not in this life in eternity

I know that you've probably heard all the great things people have to say but I would like to add this, many are called but few are chosen. You are an exceptional teacher of men. You set a fine example and you help fill the gaps for young men who may not have had a father present to teach them these life skills and wisdom. You have an anointing on your life and your ministry through this channel has had a profound impact on my life and the lives of thousands of other men. Thank you for that.

It was just a couple weeks ago when you were so kind and generous to offer a reply to a comment I left about my own Dad passing away unexpectedly this year (the cabbie if you remember). I can see the same pain in your eyes that have been in mine since my Dad left us. I wont say it gets any better, but I will say I have gotten stronger. My prayers are with you and your family.

I can empathise with losing a Dad + Mom but just something I remember hearing about, re: the death of a loved one - for ones own well being - Grieve for a Week, Mourn for a Year & then begin to move forward - emotionally/physically/mentally/spiritually, otherwise, we end up, not truly living ourselves! My Grandma never allowed herself to properly recover after the death of my Grandad (he was 54 & she 48) & ended up miserable for the rest of her life. It's early days, still for both of you & I truly pray that you will allow God/Holy Spirit, who is THE Comforter, to hold you, both (separately of course!?!) when you just, plain need a HUG!!!

"I didn't know what else to do. I'd rather just go back to work, so I did." I've often found that going out and working in the garage is the best thing to do when I feel overwhelmed. Doing something I know how to do, something where I get to build things or fix things, where I can see tasks being accomplished is the best way to work through mentally difficult times. I think this is why guys need a shop.

Cody, it's a huge blessing to pass while with your children, in your own house, in your own bed. With your children praying over you and with you. Take it as a good sign. Time will make your sadness go away. 21 years ago, my mom passed in my arms, and less than 24 hours later I had to take my heavy truck road test, in order to qualify for a firefighter position. I don't know how I did it, but I did. The Lord gives us strength when we need it most. Don't be shy to ask Him for strength.

Hugs brother. That is a heavy loss. You're a good son, and it's clear he was a good father. It's good for you to take some time to grieve. It's a process and it's a labor of love that goes on and ebs and flows in loss as it did in life. The memories go on and the pain of love goes on. And the healing from the wound of this loss goes on. As it should. It's part of love. And that love lives on.

A week prior to my Dads passing I started waking up wide awake at quarter after 3 every night which has never happened before. After several days of waking around this time I looked at the digital clock the day before my dad passed and the clock said 3:16 and that’s when John 3:16 came into my mind! Oh bless you heart I Know this feeling just the look on your face hun I Know it's unbearable I wish I could say it'll all just be ok but it's never ok it becomes part of you and those you've lost become a bigger part of you. Personally I went through loosing five people very close to me in barely six years and I really just became empty for a while. I didn't even know who I was anymore. I lost my best friend/roommate then my step dad then my popaw then my granny and shortly after my uncle. As each one passed I had to take care of them and it be the one to go through their possessions and I really don't know which is the harder task honestly but it has taken me about three years now since the last one passed to feel like I'm getting out of the dark and I Know I'll never be who I was before but I am the person I am now and I enjoy things that remind me of them instead of never wanting to see those things because it makes me so sad actually what led me to your channel was looking into building a workbench because I'm finally cleaning and changing my grandfather's shop. I bought their home after they were gone from my uncle and father because it's actually been a lifelong dream to own their home and a lifelong fear that someone else would own it and I wouldn't be able to come here because this has always been the most comforting happiest place in the world to me. I also got his shop along with the property of course which ended up becoming a storage for all the possessions of loved ones who had passed and I couldn't bring myself through going through all of it. Now my own father is sick I had him move in here and I had to quit work to care for him which now makes me see why I went through all the loss I have in recent years to prepare me for this because it's just not easy to lose or to care for a loved one but death is life in a way and everyone has a time. I know exactly your pain hun and it does get better you finally just accept it and realize that you were so fortunate to have the person you loved so dearly for the time you did have and you start to cherish what you learned from them and their memories and lessons just become a greater part of who you are it's a hard thing to face and I am so sorry I know the lord will be with you and that your father is in a beautiful place now and he's so proud of you thank you so much for being so open about this it's amazing how humble and just so real you are thank you sir

I was 15 when my father passed away, I remember the thoughts and feelings I have and have had since then. Having been 8 years ago now I take pride in doing things he taught me to do and cherishing the skills I have because of him. Watching your videos and the way you do things reminds me very much of him. Great men create great men. Whether you think it or not, people will look back on things you have taught them not even having met you in person and appreciate you and the men before you forever.

I saw this quote once and I shared with my father. “Lately all my friends are worried that they’re turning into their fathers. I’m worried that I’m not.” I am glad I have the opportunity to appreciate my father while he is alive, much as we have seen and heard all the wisdom you’ve inherited from your father and you have shared with us (and you are clearly passing on to your children). You and your family are and will remain in my thoughts.

So sorry for your loss Cody, I lost my father last year due to a heart attack which he had at home, I even had to do CPR on him, but after a over 25 minutes of trying by myself and the paramedics he never recovered. It might not feel like it now but it does get easier, it will never be easy but it does get easier. You have my deepest condolences from here in the UK and you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry you know this pain. My Dad was a master mechanic who grew up rebuilding hot rods and retired as a diesel mechanic. He didn't want me to be a mechanic, both his elbows, knees and his back all had surgeries (His back 7 surgery's) on them over the years from tearing tendons, bulging and slipping discs and he had nerve damage from impact drivers, his feet burned like fire because of the damage in his back and had very little feeling in his hands. He always told me son save your body. I turned out as a electronics tech. He was in so much pain the last few years of his life. I spent 2 years thinking every day would be his last. preparing myself for the time. But 6 months and 25 days ago. November 21, 2021 6:43PM God gave him mercy. Mom, all 3 of my sisters and me held his hands with the room full of his loved ones. My hand was on his chest as he took his last breath. I'm thankful we all were there with him. Me and Dad worked on everything together. the last thing we was working on was an old ford 8n tractor but he died before we could figure it out. once I was able I started to finish the job we started together. I worked on it for days and couldn't do it. I said, "Dad I just can't fix it." It hurt because I knew he could have done it. I spent another week or two getting new parts and tinkering on it and the day came I got it running. "I did it, Dad. I did it." with tears in my eyes I finished my dad's project. I was overwhelmed with emotion. not a day goes by that I don't miss him. I would do anything to fix one more thing with him. It will always hurt truthfully, the loss will always hurt the same. but every day that goes by I know more and more I'll be ok he raised a son to be a man and I am thankful for every moment I had with him. One of the last things he said was "Ben is not ok. But he is going to be ok." He was right. I was not prepared no matter how much I thought I was. but every day that goes by I know more and more I'll be ok. and anyone who has lost their dad. You not ok. but you will be. I am thankful Dad is no longer hurting. I am thankful for the life he had and the many things we did together. The bible says when we are alive we are body and soul. and when we pass our soul leaves that body. I know when I pass. My soul will leave this body and he is waiting on the other side. We will get to see them again. Dad's death is not a goodbye. It's just a see you in heaven. That gives me peace.

It's amazing that he got to go in the family house, that his dad built. What a home and what an homage to his dad! Passing is rough on the ones you leave behind, but it was blessing for him to get to see you grow up and see you have a successful life..Your father was gifted with the honor of welcoming you into this world and it was yours to be there for him as he left. It's a terribly beautiful aspect of living, as long as it's in that order.

Grief is like a hand grenade going off, those who were closessed carry the biggest piece of schrapnel deep in their chest. Only with time will you realise it's a permanent part of you now. & eventually you will realise it is the last gift of a lifetime of teachings from those who gave from your beginning till their end .

In situations like these, words are never enough. Last year, we lost my 10 year old cousin to a driver under the influence. She was basically a sister to my 6 year old daughter. Oh what a joy it is to know that they are in the arms of The Father. As much as we miss them, we’d never wish them back to this broken world. We’ll see them again. Prayers for you, my brother. Lifting you and yours up as soon as I hit send.

It's a brutally hard thing to face the loss of a father, no amount of living or age can prepare you to face a world without them. Only consolation I would offer is that your family is a living memory of all he did and so long as you tend it and continue the work then it's all as should be.

My husband passed away in my arms 8 yrs ago. To be holding him in our home was a gift I knew was a true blessing. Your faith and love for family will allow you to cope day by day with your grief. Your father was and will be forever proud of you and who you have become. Now he is surrounded by eternal love and lightness.
