I was recently talking with my mom about this… kid actors are really good these days! Stranger things, HotD, the kids on Haunting of Bly Manor… etc. I’m not sure if it’s because the internet helps the talented kids to be found, or if they are just genuinely getting better at acting… I don’t know. I just know that kids used to suck and often they would pull you out of immersion or you’d just wait for the kid scenes to be over, but now… kids have some of the most interesting and challenging roles and absolutely kill it! I can’t imagine being a kid and try to act multiple emotions layered on top of each other! Scared, pretending to be happy, while also pretending like your not pretending… lmao that’s nonsense but he makes it work! The kids in Bly Manor [SPOILER ALERT! Skip if you haven’t seen Bly Manor!] -- seem like the kids are just bad or awkward actors at first until you realize they’re pretending and the kids are possessed, and you can actually recognize the character the child is possessed by! It’s damn impressive. [END SPOILER] I’m definitely excited to see what Ryan will become! He doesn’t exist in the comic so I have no clue what will happen… this is so exciting and scary because Homelander has basically gotten away with public murder and now he’s untouchable for real!
