Glad you are alright! I read in a high performance driving book, which had a portion about street driving, the perfect driver is someone who no one else notices on the road. Not that you are at fault, but most accidents can be avoided with a mindset like this. For example, merging partially into someone's blind spot on a busy city highway. Food for thought, best of luck with the insurance

I threw in one of those wolfbox camera mirrors with rear cam in my supra for BS like this. Mostly so i can see whats actually happening behind me. Its also cool to save clips of weird shit happening.

I can imagine the rage. Glad you're ok though. I live by them too. I have a video worthy of a comedy skit from my dash cam. Kid tied his dog's leash to his bicycle while riding his bicycle. Dog freaks out . Pulls kid off bike. Dog dashes across street aimed squarely at my car with bicycle in tow. Dog swerves to avoid my car which was stopped and bike slams into my car. Then the dog sit beside its handy work.

Very unfortunate. I am also located in Cincinnati. Mercedes Benz Collision located on Mulhauser Road off of Union Center Boulevard, the exit on I-75 prior to the incident, is one of the best body shops in the region. Best of luck.

Ahhh man... Dealing with accidents is never fun. Maybe this info will help. Not sure what the penalty for leaving the scene of an accident in your location is? it's 12 points and a class 4 Felony here in CO. Also make sure your own insurance policy is a guaranteed value policy on a modified car and not a standard policy the cost of returning your vehicle to pre loss condition after an accident on a modified car wont be covered. Admittedly this is not your fault so assuming he has coverage you should be ok, however if he hasn't got insurance or has limits that are lower than the cost of the repair your left in a situation where you will have to sue the driver or claim on your own insurance for the difference. You should also be claiming a diminished value claim for the accident as your car will now have this listed on the Carfax.

@@kern417 I'm not an expert on Ohio law however I do work as an adjuster. Diminished value is related to the value of the vehicle pre and post loss. All you need is a public adjuster to value the car.

A good thing about my 24 M340, it has facrory equipped dashcam. Though you have to have a 360 camera with parking assist package and you have to pay aroung 100$ for lifetime subscription (BMW thing lol)

@@baronmunchausen645 bro I’ll tell you like this. I lost my car in an intersection. Dumbass ran a stop sign. I had just did a full bumper swap did a lip kit had it painted it was beautiful. I poured my soul into that build. I had to get rushed to the er I lost my job it was my only car I live in an apartment but we can rent garages I had to sell it. Sell all my tools anything car related to get by. Guess what? Fast forward now. I got a new apartment 2 new jobs and a new car. Literally earlier today I did my first mod on the new car. I cried so hard I’m so thankful to still be an alive and to still get a chance at another build. As long as you’re here there will always be more cars. I know it hurts bro. I cried so many nights but after every thunder storm the sun will shine

If the scratch had gone down to the metal you want to cover that as quickly as you can. Using a clean rag with isopropyl or panel wipe spray clean the area multiple time to dislodge any moisture. Then using some clear nail polish cover any areas in which metal is exposed. Rust is like a weed. Once it takes hold it’s not easy to stop. Take it to a shop that is highly experienced with dealing with rust prevention. Also, keep in mind when the panel is primed, primer may shrink over a period of a few days. Joe’s overnight spray and go may have the car looking fine but the repair won’t last. For a rear quarter panel prep and re-spray, no parts replacement, guessing I’d say $1500-1800 and at least a week. Tell them to take their time. You may also have the option of taking the car home and letting it sit in your garage while the primer fully cures. Body shops will sometimes rush if they have too many cars in their lot or garage. are you serious? by the time the truck starts to get over kerns is at his rear tire. he explained why he accelerated and it was to create noise for the car to hear him and to get out of his way. he couldn’t switch back over because he thought the car in the lane that he was coming from was passing on his left. its crazy to know that you probably have a driver’s license.

Agree with this. From the red truck’s perspective they would performed a head check and saw a clear line behind them. You’ve then accelerated into their blind spot. That accident could have been easily avoided with defensive driving.

@@wardog4788all he had to do to avoid this situation was slow down. You don’t need to be an awesome driver to understand that. As they say on motorcycles, assume everyone is trying to kill you. If you drive with that understanding then you wouldn’t take an unnecessary risk such as assuming that they can see you.

@@michaelmillar3255 a little driver's 101 for the experts here - driving faster than slow traffic does not mean you're accelerating - driving faster than slow traffic exiting the highway does not mean you don't want to let someone over - turning on your indicator is a sign of intent, not a warning - accelerating to make noise vs slamming my brakes, honking my horn, and potentially having an airbag break my wrist seemed like a better option - telling people just drive slower doesn't stop bad drivers from driving bad Hope this helps 👍🏾
