I was raised by a single parent who was an alcoholic and I turned out great because I didn’t want to give my relatives an excuse to give me an excuse! I probably surpassed all of my cousins by raising myself!

Being poor or in a lower economic level is a financial situation or issue it however isn't something that describes a person or their personality much less their values and morals.
Been on the poor side my whole life but worked my butt off to provide for my kids after becoming a widow. I cleaned houses for rich people as there isnt much I was qualified for with a 9th grade education. Put the kids through college that wanted to go. I now have a bank manager, executive assistant, tattooist, an officer , I. T supervisor and a CNA. Being poor isnt a choice, it was making the best out of what life dealt me but I made sure all my kids had opportunities that I didnt. But I can say this, I think some poor appreciate things a lot more than the rich. I may not have much but Im proud of what little I do have and I never judge anyone for what they have or dont have, the color of their skin, their sexuality but I DO judge on how they treat others. A wealthy person giving you a 100 doesnt mean no where near as much as someone with very little giving you the last 10 bucks they have. Its a shame more people dont understand this

And you are right most people who don't have much often cherishes what they do have because they truly earned it. Most times the best predictor of how someone will act and behave in general could be seen when they interact with those who are in a different socio economic then themselves like service workers.

I often wonder how different my life would be had I had the opportunity to continue school( quit as soon as i could get a legal job), would I still have same attitude towards life if I hadnt been treated less than because im a half breed. Me and four African Americans in the small country school I went to. Had I had a “ normal “ life would I have grown up to be a Karen? I will never know the answers to those questions but I like to think I would still have the same heart I do now but I wouldn’t struggle from month to month!! Hell , I might even have a darn car that isnt over 20 that I could depend on . !!! Its a crap shoot everytime I go somewhere! But I look at it as an adventure. People that use shitty childhoods to do nasty things make me want to throat punch them. Mine sucked but I made sure my own never went through or seen the crap that was my daily life.
Keep in mind some of these types of stories have foreign origins. Culteral mores can seem strange to an American audience, e.g., parents controlling adult children, women being looked down on (more than what happens here) and money being a tool to shun what they think are poor people. Also, inheritance laws.
As mother, had I been Sonia, I'd have strutted my stuff. I'd have worn my most expensive dress, shoes, designer bag, etc., with flawless makeup, along with some expensive jewelry accessories. I think I'd also have my nails manicured, been to a stylist with my hair professionally done and maybe worn a mink stole or something similar, weather permitting. I'd have been oozing affluence and style, not dressing moderately! The Japanese mindset is sssoooo different!
I think it is teenage drama read by a computer. I think a lot of these are exercises in writing English done by high school and college age students from various Asian countries. You'll notice the names are European, but the cultural perspective, laws, etc. are not.

These are Japanese stories, "traditional" views of family connections and formal manners can be extremely important to save face! Have you noticed the noise of folks arguing is still often considered terribly shameful if neighbours hear it!

Sadly people do behave like this. I see it all the time in the UK. This UK government absolutely despise the poor, the sick and disabled and people on benefits also the homeless well just about anyone who isn't like them If you're in one of these groups like I'm in two. I'm disabled and can't work so I live on Universal Credit and PIP. The government treats us like dirt. We are persecuted and are constantly bringing in laws or rules to get at us. They are currently bringing in a law to make it illegal to be homeless. So the thousands who are homeless will be arrested and thrown in prison. Yet our prisons are already full. I suppose they'll buy some more prison barges like the one they're shutting migrants in.

It is happening here in the US, where if you don’t agree with the “elite” class, you are called a deplorable, or said that you are NON-intellectual! Unfortunately there is a class system in the 1st World which is much more shocking than the ones in other societies which have had it instilled for many many generations. Ever since the beginning of the European Christianity, more and more divisions have been pushed on everyone. Take for example the fact that in many old European villages, towns and cities Jewish people were forced to live in Segregated communities. It took the Holocaust and the end of Stalinist Russia to stop this disgusting way of life. It is time that ALL things that divide us including money, power, religion, schooling level, etc ended.

Well it's because the narrators on these types of stories are not human voices it is Artifical Intelligence (AI). So they lack the emotions needed to properly invoke the convictions/reflection neccessary.
