i love how the western world is soooooooooo dramatic.....these are the normal roads in africa and we do it in a toyota corolla 1998 model. This is literally how u get to my grandma's house🔥. Overall nice job Asheville 👏👏👏
🤣🤣🤣 This reminds me of the "back in my day we had to climb 7 mountains, walk for 50 miles with no shoes in a sandstorm, just to get to school. And that was on a good day", stories from our parents
Have you not thought of charging to an electric car/suv I think the new rivian R1T would suit you down to a T pal and price isn’t to bad compared to other big 4x4 😎
Daniel and the crew if u get a chance check out 4wd 24-7 there in auz and they do some crazy offroading could give u some ideas for the next, also love the content keep it up mate good job :)
Hi Daniel, I’ve recently become a big fan of off road driving, I always thought that the Land Rover couldn’t be beaten when it comes to off road driving, I’m not fortunate enough to be able to own one but yours with all of the Urban upgrades has got to be the best and most suitable you could own, I’ve been watching a few off road recovery RU-vid channels, they are all in Utah, and it’s amazing the way the vehicles they have built perform, if you’re interested have a look for yourself, one of the Channels is called Trail Mater.
Now you need to challenge yianni to finally get his range rover dirty and doing what it's built for and not just city driving 😂 after all he did call you out in your defender collection video about the discovery that you traded in for it.
I had the Defender for a year. It wasn't bad, or anything. I have a Range Rover (Autobiography) **flexes** lol as my daily use and a very modded supercharged 2019 Toyota 4Runner as my off road use rig. I tried the Defender as a hopeful modern replacement to use off road, but unfortunately the front and rear IS was a step back in the type of technical off road capabilities, for my personal off road needs. Big wheel lifts are dangerous off road, here in the mountains of western Canada. The Defender was great fun, otherwise! I actually miss it! Lol. It was AMAZING for rallying on high speed desert trails, and was a fun overnight car camper!! Oh and it looks great! I miss it, but have no niche for one atm. When we move to Utah USA, I might buy one again!
Great video, only sad part is that Ashville weekly will be over before we get to hear Michael O'donovan's review of this. I can hear him burying Daniel already.
Over dramatised with the music and all. I remember wrecking a rental Hilux in Mozambique on sand dunes, drunk off R&R's . . If you've been there, you'll know what I mean
Love the new defender, but the year is 2041 the old defender and series landys still trot about, whilst these new defenders rot away. (To much tech for longevity)😂😂. Still want one though...
i can only imagine how capable this thing would be if it had dedicated offroad tires and wheels. to see it handle those obstacles on the factory street setup is incredibly impressive.
It is amazing that Daniel got to experience this fantastic driving challenge… it’s a great shame that Terry couldn’t go along as well, because I’m very sure that after his recent hospital stay and surgery for his replacement that he would have enjoyed a lovely day out like this to boost his mood and buck up his spirits and get him back to his usual happy and smiling self !! Get well soon Tezza !! From one Terry to another, hope to see you back on Ashville Weekly ASAP brother !!!
Background music kinda made the whole video feel like an ad (which I suppose it kinda was). If you want to really test it take it to langdale quest and you can play with a unimog while you are there.
OK, let's get this right - yes it's a good looking vehicle. Yes , it's full on technology - all those things programmed into it's software to allow it to go off road. Now , take it to middle of Australia - a harsh environment where vehicles need to be strong, and easily fixed. Hmmmm.
Hi mate, just picked up our brand new evoque. It’s a gleaming black beauty and I would be crying if I got it as dirty as your car. Keep the videos coming 👍
After I had completed my off road course, I was asked if there was anything I wanted to do again. "Could I do the water splash again, and empty it". Sorry, but I can't print his reply.
Land Rover has missed the point. Sure, the comfort and traction systems are first class, but being a durable off roader isn't about a few hours in a quarry. Elsewhere in the world the car needs to spend months in hell like conditions. I've seen many times, and experienced first hand their cars being disabled by damage to the electronics. I lost 4wd 3000 kms from home in the middle of a desert because a wire and sensor were damaged. The old Defender would have kept going with minimal impact in the same situation. And you pay through the arse for the priviledge.
