I've owned this Land Rover Discovery 5 for almost 2 years as both a functioning work vehicle and for what personal life I have left outside of work.
In this video I do an in-depth review of my Discovery 5 including why I chose this over other similar vehicles, price comparisons, features as well as why I wrapped it Yellow at ‪@yiannimize‬ AND I take it 'off road' on a mountain of aggregates in the yard.
This is a HSE Luxury - Auto 3L with 258 bhp. I got the Black Pack with Sat Nav, Bluetooth, Diver Lane Assist, projected windscreen display, Electronic toeing eye and with 22 inch wheels.

I really enjoyed that, and I think you really did pick the best allrounder on the market! Re speed the new D300 is even quicker and more efficient than the SD6. so now you get all the pros you mentioned, plus significantly faster than your TD6....Time for an upgrade?

Hi Daniel, the Disco 5 is a great vehicle with comfort, safety, tech, and excellent off road ability. Makes a lot of sense 4 u. I love how it looks with the yellow wrap, and with the mods u have done. Ur car is on 22” Tyres. An all terrain Tyre will give it much more off road ability. If u put the vehicle into low range it would have got up the slope much easier. Have u done a LR off road drive day ?? It appears that u have not. I’d suggest that u do, so that u know how all of its 4wd systems work. U will learn heaps, and then u will also b able to do anything off road, much easier, and with more confidence, as u will know how to use all the 4wd systems in the Disco. If u want ur Disco to b more responsive and quicker, get an ECU tune done to it. Enjoy ur excellent vehicle. 👍👍

Go to land rover in Birmingham, they have an off road track where you can learn how to use the vehicle in all conditions and terrains. It's a half day experience you won't regret.

Great review, and the first one I've ever seen of someone who both uses and likes a D5. I have a D4 luxury, with the big engine, v.similar spec. I tow a lot so need the grunt. Always though a D5 ( the new 2litre engine is lacking in towing grunt, I need that 3.5 tonne capacity) is light, this makes me think I'll look for one. If you want to sell this one... let me know. Great channel, inspiring, solid branding. I told Rob Moore about you, hope he gets you on his podcast, The Disruptive Entrepreneur. (and wrapping the big Liebherr, that was uber-cool)

I noticed b4 you descended that gravel hill that both your centre and rear lockers 🔒 were open 🔓. Add to that, u have low profile road tyres, not surprised u got stuck going uphill !

I watched it@@roninesce8362 . Thank you. I am by no means an LR head, but every car its limits. Also, I'm sure you noted that was a Disco "Sport". It has limited capabilities compared to this reviewed LR5, as much as we can't compare an LR5 to a defender which is designed from the ground up to have better 4x4 abilities than the rest of LR lineup.

Try the new LR Defender, it's got front/rear cameras so you never have to worry about hitting objects or descending. May not have all the bells compared to the Disco 5 but from what I've seen it's the new work horse from them. Time well tell if there's teething issues.Was supposed to have a off road test with it through my dealer but because of the current situation that's on hold but from when I went for a test drive it handled far better than I thought though I still have my reservations about the amount of tech in it.

Did the vest really protect the knees? I did question why you had that car at the same time I am familiar with the car. Being from the US, you can understand that I am used to pickups. And only pickups...Great choice. I know you changed the color but I have a feeling you might regret changing it to black because there will be other cars that replace its role! I just want to add that after watching the video I respect your opinion as a truck driver because you ALWAYS get out to evaluate before you drive. That makes a difference.
