My dividend portfolio is dropping fast, and in this video, I'm sharing which discounted dividend stocks I'm buying on the dip. There are two in particular I'm especially excited about, both of which have seen pretty substantial share price declines in a short amount of time.

It’s only paper loss if you don’t sell. As long as the dividends continue to come in I’m happy. Just like my apartment, I don’t pay too much attention to the market value as long as my tenants pay their rent. Unless of course I wanted to sell.

I’ve only been investing a couple months, My biggest lesson learned is to always make sure I have cash set aside for moments like this DCA is great, but for some people it’s good to not put every investable penny into it and to save some cash for bigger opportunities

That is so true. Also, don’t let emotions determine your investing decisions. As long as the companies you buy has a strong balance sheet, ignore the daily noise.

I get such a bad case of FOMO and want to invest in so many companies, but I think it’s a lot better for me to have a more concentrated portfolio until I’ve build strong positions in each of my holdings There’s unlimited opportunities to make money with these blue chip companies

@@rynewilliams for me what I want to do is for now focus on VOO and SCHD and JEPI and O build them up enough to were I have like a base of strong growth so far its getting there with VOO and SCHD .jepi I want to make that my biggest monthly growth ETF if I can have 400 or more per month one day coming into that ETF from dividend alone I will be happy.

I picked up a few more shares of VOO, SCHD, SCHG & QQQM this week on the 2 big down days. I dollar cost average and keep buying when the market goes up or down. Try to buy more on down days but I keep buying regardless.

I love that Black Flag shirt. I used to have a Fugazi shirt back when i saw them 3 times in the 90s. Tickets were 5 bucks the first time and then 6 bucks the next two times. I'm buying more SBUX , JPM, MAIN, INTU, KR, MMM, DUK etc every dip.

ROIC is one of the metrics I look at along with ROE, EPS growth, use dividend yield theory to check current valuation, growing free cash flow, payout ratio under 75% and what is the business along with how they make their revenue. That's a my quick screener in a nutshell for me. Lots of opportunities right now, this week I'll probably add to AWK, SBUX, CMCSA, CSCO, CVS, VALE, ENB, SCHD and VTI. Others out there that'll be on my list for the next couple of weeks if prices stay down are JNJ, PFE, VZ and T. I buy SCHD and VTI weekly.

This is what I love about dividend investing. The income you receive stays the same as the share price falls, and you have an opportunity to increase your income by buying more. Interesting possibilities for buys right now (none without risk, of course): LEG, PFE, ENB, GILD, GMRE, KHC, LTC, MDT, MO, OHI, PH, PNW, RYLD, WPC, XRX

Added a bit to SCHD and started a position in GLDM. Looking at a general three tiered portfolio overall. Being retired I need growth, income, stability. Hedging a bit helps on the down side. DCA is slow and works. I have fewer years in front of me so looking to keep going with the program. It’s worked well so far and see no reason to change. Wondering what the politics of the world today, (unrest, wars, extremism, etc.), will have on changing the landscape of the financial world. It’s always changing and always interesting.

This sounds stupid, but I bought two Penney stocks I think may become the new Microsoft and IBM knowing I was most likely to loose the money I paid for them. Why? To force myself to learn to hold and not sell when the market drops lik it has been lately. The rest of my portfolio is made up of solid companies tjat will grow if I hold then long term. I have to learn to hold them.

I finally bought some SCHD stock. It’s now down $4 from the high. It may drop more with the market correction, but it will hopefully go back up when the market returns to its senses. The news media really gets the market in a frenzy. ABR is now back down to $12 and pays a .45 dividend. It may drop further, but it usually hovers between $10 and $13

I purchased more UNH and PG this week. I am really hoping to see a bigger decline because I would love to start building a position in CAT. HSY is still attractive with having such a brand name and being beaten down by cocoa prices but I have to continue diving into financial statements to see if it aligns or scores with my other core holdings. How do you determine a particular position such as V? You identified that you would like to continue growing it but when do you feel or know you have satisfied it? That is a skill I am still struggling with.

For V, at the moment, I would only be satisfied if I owned 100% of it, it's a tremendous company, but since I won't ever own all of itz I'll just DCA and keep an eye on its financials in case it becomes less tremendous.

Yoy sales on same stores is still a volatile rate but eventually with all the stores open it will give a good dividend and reflect on stock price . All in all it’s a very good growth stock

I spend all this time selling puts, selling calls, "wheeling" on all these great dividend stocks only to have my wife's portfolio beat me consistatly when all she does is buy SPY weekly. Nothing else. Just buy and hold dollar cost average. As for buying the dip, I am not this week. I am going to just add cash weekly to the brokerage account. I see lots of downside personally coming. I am Approx 30% cash right now.

If is not a given, there is no guarantee that prices will rebound. It`s not for the faint of heart. During the Covid crash portfolios went down 40 % and more. Fortunately, many rebounded to a degree. Mostly I won1t buy and hold in a difficult investment environment. Depending on the charts I will be looking at preferred and bonds.

Wait so if you were to buy say jnj right now at the low point where there dividend yield is high, and then the stock price were to go up a lot or back to normal and dividend yield goes back down, since you bought the stock when the dividend yield is high you get to keep that yield?

Exactly. You lock in the yield upon purchasing the stock. That is what is referred to as your "Yield on Cost"

to be honest with u I feel crypto is a fad.I really dont feel its the full future if u think about if we use American money or other currencies to buy into crypto while sure I made a few bucks off bitcoin and ETH I still wont keep it in my portfolio I find it to be too make-believe it feels like magic money then real money itself.

Filing your taxes at the end of the year is a nightmare and there’s never any concrete figures to support if it will pump. They just started paying them, so let's see what happens. They certainly have the cash flow to do so

I don't think the strategy of keeping interests high is working. The higher the cost of borrowing, the higher prices companies will charge. People keep buying stuff and unemployment is still low. Just yesterday I went to the VET, and they charged me 3.5% extra for using credit/debit card. Companies fees are going up and is affecting peoples pockets. It is nice for savings accounts, but what about the normal guy that doesn't make much? Good video Ryne!!
