My biggest position is O, because I took advantage of the last dip to the high $40s to get to 100 shares. I'm doing some changes to my portfolio to focus more on dividend growth since I'm only 29 so I'm betting that O being the biggest position won't last long. Taking the opportunity to get out of VZ with a ~12% cap gain and T at around break even so I can focus on less (but higher quality) positions. P.S. Love the small music highlights you've been adding to your videos 😁

Enjoying your content lately. I am new to investing...started late 2022. Mostly investing in 2 etfs( SnP and divided one SPYD as SCHD is not available in EU). Step by step i also started opening small positions like 100-300euro in single stocks like O, PFE, JNJ, MC, BRM. My question is what is the idea ....to keep them for a while to gain potentially 20-30% profit and reinvest in my dividend etf ooor keep them like 10-20y as part of the whole strategy? I am investing something like 225e per eft every month and 50e in sinfle stock if there is no good stock/price at the current month i am skipping a month or two and wait for discounts...i will appreciate some guidance. I feel that lately i am investing in pharma more than needed because the overall industry status is falling slightly thus the good prices...

Hi Ryne, why did you decide to go with 60% SCHD and 40% VOO? I would assume you would want to make your largest holding a growth ETF. Since the Roth is tax free growth. Any insight would be appreciated.
@rynewilliams
@rynewilliams 6 месяцев назад
The Roth is also tax-free dividends. Over time, I'm prioritizing a dividend growth approach, which is why I went heavier into SCHD. However, a 40% exposure to the S&P 500 will still allow me to benefit from long term share price appreciation. I see this as the best of both worlds
@pipasmr2011

I have a question... How often and how much should i spent per month in dividend stock and a beginner?
@rynewilliams
@rynewilliams 3 месяца назад
I would say invest how much you feel comfortable with based on your overall financial situation...you can always adjust it up/down over time, but I think it's best to start small until you find your groove. As far as how often, it doesn't really matter as long as your consistent. It can be once a week, once a month, once a year, every day, etc. Whatever you want to do

Question - does your tracking % that you say you are " up x%" does this include dividends collected or is it exclusive of that and only tracking share price value appreciation or decrease kinda thing? Thanks?
@rynewilliams
@rynewilliams 6 месяцев назад
It shows it both ways. Share price appreciation (market value) and share price appreciation + dividends (total return)

you have CDs = you've already invested. if you're not using the interest then take that and buy dividend stocks. that's still dividend reinvesting. then next time you'll have CD interest and a little stock dividend too
