Great video :) I would suggest for your lights, to use traverses that hang down from the ceiling, there you are totaly free to set up lights on and you can run the power cables as you want.

I recently moved my studio to a smaller space and moved to use a micke desk with two drawers one has acrylic tubes and palette in it the other oil paint/palette. On top is a table easel as my normal easel won’t fit. Directly behind me on shelves is paint mediums/paper towels/brushes. I might move it some to be able to include a chair but I’m trying to loosen up and do more quick studies so that’s why I’m trying this set up. Also limiting the palette colors until I master them. Love a big studio also of course!

Those French cleat look great! I could totally see you building an easel to custom fit to those cleats to make painting on panel a bit easier, while still being able to use that other easel with legs. I can't wait to see the next episode!

For the lighting I would choose cheap fluorescent fixtures with daylight tubes. 6 pieces of 18 watts. Hang them slightly off the wall next to each other. that gives great light. But the best light just comes through the window.

This is freaking dope man. I went to design school, did some production design gigs then moved to news photojournalism & then video production but my heart has always wanted to get back to straight creative work. I have always had a part of me that dreamed of having a studio like this. Seeing these videos has lit a fire under me and I’m starting a process to map out my plan to find a creative space and do it. Awesome space. I love that you hang most if not all of your work. It must be a great feeling of accomplishment to see the result of all tour effort and practice as an artist. It really feels like a welcoming studio for creativity
