Something I love about u , is how honest and transparent and calm you are about everything . The nervous feeling when you go to the doctor each time never goes away lol I was on my final pregnancy 3rd and I would feel sooo nervous still. We found out our baby girl had cleft lip at our 6th month check up and I was sick to my stomach for weeks and felt nervous from that day on until I gave birth. I went trough the same symptoms and I had a boy. I don’t believe in symptoms being specific to a gender. I think is just how your body reacts to the pregnancy.

I was sick & miserable for 4 months with my daughter 😭 I also lost weight, 6 lbs in the beginning. I only gained 12 lbs my whole pregnancy & most of that is baby & placenta. I had the same symptoms as you when I was pregnant with my son, anything that went into my mouth dental wise made me gag. A little tmi but I went to the dentist and they put the X-ray tool in my mouth and all the spaghetti I ate that morning splatter on the dental assistant 😞 I never went back 😩

I’m graduating from dental hygiene school and it’s actually normal for your gums to bleed and it’s so important to go get a cleaning during your pregnancy!! Also, wait at least 30 minutes after you throw up to brush your teeth because of the acids from your stomach can harm your teeth! You can rinse with water right after. Congratulations ❤️❤️
HI Les! Dental student from Chicago here! :) What you're experiencing with the bleeding gums is called PREGNANCY GINGIVITIS :) Bleeding gums during pregnancy are due to hormonal changes that make a woman's gums EXTRA-sensitive to the plaque that builds up on her teeth. Since you were brushing your teeth a little less because of your morning sickness there was more plaque buildup on your teeth. Essentially, what happens is.... when the plaque isn't well or completely removed, the woman's immune system tries to target the bacteria in the plaque causing an inflammatory reaction in the gums which causes them to become very inflamed/swollen. Because they are so swollen, the blood vessels are closer to the surface making the gums more sensitive to even the slightest touch (including a toothbrush) which causes them to bleed. I hope this makes more sense why this is a common symptom! it will eventually go away after a woman gives birth and the hormones settle. congrats on your new house and new baby
