For those who are still searching for bulb size, the larger ones I used T5 LEDS. All bulbs needed are T3, T4.2 and T5. Climate control are the same.

Great vid bud. Just an FYI if you didn't figure out the issue with your climate control being all blue. The issue is that it works on the same principle when yellow and purple turns white. Seems that it does the same with the blue so if you used 4k led bulbs you should be back to getting a whiter color. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info! I actually just left the climate control with the stock bulbs. I figured if I got maybe a yellow color LED bulb, the blue filter would probably turn it white, but I didn't bother. I also noticed that the brightness of the LED bulbs I have didn't provide even lighting on the climate control, which ended up brighter in the spots the bulbs were. I may have needed a different style bulb that disperses the light better.

You can bend the climate control metal mounting tabs outward to take it out.

Yep you can. Either way works. I found the screw method easier.

It seems like the bright white light on the instrument cluster would adversely effect your night vision. Are you still able to use the dimmer? I like them in the dome and trunk but I wonder if they might get hot and damage the lenses.

I don't think it'll have much of an impact for my night vision. All the newer cars including my daily is much brighter still. The dimmer still works perfectly fine. So I can dim it if I find it too bright. 😁

I have a 91 Civic EX that i need to upgrade to LEDs. My heater control panel lights are not working at all. Are the LEDs the same size for both gauge cluster and heater control panel? Also, where did you get the LED lights from and what size? Thanks!

Yes, they're the same size. You can get the LED's anywhere. Ebay, Amazon, Aliexpress, etc. I don't remember the size cause it's been a while. I definitely mentioned it in the video somewhere.

I don't remember. Just gotta count the bulbs on the back of your cluster.

@@NES_125 have you done tests to test your dimmer switch. You can refer to a honda service manual to test the dimmer.

any idea how to fix the fuel gauge being off? mines on a full tank only shows 3/4

Do a fuel gauge test. The gauge is connected to your fuel sending unit under your rear seat. Unplug the fuel sending unit and use a voltmeter to check if there's voltage. If so, jump the connector and then turn car to on position. The fuel gauge should keep rising to F. Make sure you turn it off before it reaches F though. If it does move past the 3/4 mark, then your cluster is fine. Your fuel sending unit probably needs replacing. Now I'm not sure if you know the history of your car and all, but sometimes people take apart the cluster to roll back the mileage or do random stuff to it. So it's possible that someone pulled the needle out and put it in the wrong place 3/4 lower than supposed to be. If this is the case, fill to full tank, pull needle out and pin to full and monitor the gauge to make sure it reads correctly.

@@BudgetGears yeah man I've heard about that, a lot of people move there meter back to shoe lower miles then what there supposed to be. scumbags lol let me try both, hopefully I can get it fixed. I still have a lot more small things to take care of on my hatch but luckily most your videos cover what I need. i still need petal assembly replacement, clutch petal doesn't go into place sometimes and it makes me grind or i cant go into some hears. or maybe its the tranny or clutch but I'm hoping its just the assembly also if you had a complete front suspension video you've done already can you point me in that direction? appreciate the help man! I've been watching your video for years now, after seeing you restore your hatch I grabbed one 2 years ago and been slowly restoring it.

@@michaelpeterson7144 For your clutch pedal, I think maybe you just need to adjust the clutch cable. I do have a video on installing a new clutch cable somewhere on my channel, but you may just need to adjust it. Maybe see if adjusting it would help solve your problem. As for front suspension, it depends on what you're doing. I have videos detailing how to replace bushings, ball joints, tie rods, coilovers, etc. Just need to browse through my channel and have a look. I think the only thing I didn't make a video on is the front wheel bearings. I appreciate you tuning into the channel and I'm glad it inspired you to restore your car. I'm glad my videos help people out there. 😁
