I feel your pain. When I was in 8th grade I had a terrible haircut. I looked like Mo from the Three Stooges. I went for a haircut one day and the lady asked if I wanted it feathered. I had no idea what that was so I said, "Sure." She feathered it and that just literally made it look like she put a bowl on my head and cut all the way around. I never looked at it in the mirror and just went to school the next day. I quickly learned that it had been a bad idea when EVERYONE laughed at me every time I walked through a door into a classroom. My crush, Gina, used to sing, "Bowla bowla" every time she saw me :( I never NEVER had my hair feathered again. Now my hair is very long and is parted in the middle. I look much cooler. I look like Jesus now because I also have a goatee.

You know that driving video you did a long while ago? Well… Mira Coasta college is using it in their classes to make learning how to drive more interesting. It was quite amusing 😅
I cut my kids' hair and my own until they left home! I gave my daughter a treat to get her first professional haircut when she was 13 when we were away on a vacation. She got a cut and as soon as we left the salon she asked me to recut her hair once we got home again. My son was actually taken to the barber by his friend when he was about 10. His friend wanted his haircut to look exactly like my son's. Nothing special, just short and layered. I get complimented on my hair even now and I still do it myself (layered above shoulder length) that flatters my face. Only one salon in our small town and after going twice and paying a fortune each time $30.00 + $5 tip, for a 20 minute *trim only* visit each time and that was 10 years ago. I often came out lopsided. It also takes me 20 minutes to do mine and I can spend the $420.00/year on something else.

I've meaning to get a pair of glove-shoes for myself. I love walking barefoot but I'm done getting carglass under my skin, so I wanna try them. I think I'd love one that look like actual feet, so it looks like I'm barefoot the whole time. It'd be hilarious.
i remember back in the 5th grade, i was in gym class, and we were playing a game where you had to throw the ball at people then they were on your team, so i was trying not to get hit so i just stood against the wall and did nothing so i wouldn't atract any attention. And i was about to win for just standing there because no one had seen me, except for my gym teacher, then my gym teacher pointed me out to the people that were it and i was suddenly the target for the rest of the game. it hurt my feelings that she cost me game, i could have won.

I have social anxiety. For YEARS i cut my hair myself. So when the barber asked me for what haircut would i like, i went just "whichever you think would look good." And he did. Then little by little i said what i wanted different, till im finally happy with my normal haircut.

Back when I had short hair. I had a weird short lived point in 6th grade where I wanted a mohawk, but didn't want to shave the rest of my hair, so instead got a "fohawk" and I loved that it drew attention towards me for like a few days. I stopped after it was no longer interesting to anyone.
