I had a teacher who was the Health Teacher for 7th Grade, and my friend, who had a brain tumor, was visually showing excitement for the class, she knew this, and made him write an entire essay about his tumor, and she asked some pretty personal questions, and made him write it in a single class period. He ended up crying that day.

I had a teacher like this and she looked just like how you drew Ms.K but just with a bun. She made me clean the classroom because I was reading. Then she made fun of me in front of the class 💀

Ok. I was also in the "gifted kid program." And when I saw this I just related so much to it, I don't know why it just made me feel relaxed. Truly a comfort, I never knew anyone else growing up who was a part of these programs.

It also happened to me, my first grade elementary school teacher was NUTS (in a bad way) She would constantly ground me and send me out of class or just scold us. The worst i've ever had. Little did I know, the next grade was just _heaven_ for me There was only 1 time she got mad in the entire grade, when she scolded my "best" friend for bullying me so hard that he almost immediately changed personality. Yeah a grade was hell for me, so I'm glad I had the luck to go through heaven the next year.

I know the feeling of an awful teacher. I had a math teacher that put way too much assignments. Like, twice as much as all the other subjects combined. Everyone agreed she was too stressful and she found out and took out any anger on us. Just being easily offended and getting people in trouble for dumb reasons. She once screamed at my classmate for 10 minutes for snickering at something in class. But nobody’s parents cared, so we just stayed stressed out and tired and sad for the whole year. I had no free time and lost so much sleep 8th grade sucked :(

I have a teacher that lied to my friend’s mom that he didn’t do any work when everyone that was sitting next to him knows that he did his work. She also damaged many students phones because she was mad at them for talking. And she lied to the principal that she didn’t do any of that so I can relate 100%

The first school I went to had extremely abusive teachers, actual physical abuse. The worst thing they did was drag me out of class, pin me to the ground and stretch my legs out so far that I was screaming in pain. The worst part is that the school is still open.

When I was younger I used to write “weird” like I’d hold the pen differently. People would point it out and even my parents would wonder why I did it differently. Teachers wouldn’t care as long as I did the work. I used to have a teacher in primary school who would hate that I would write differently. She’d yell at me in front of the class about it until I’d write “Normally”. it made me upset. It was so hard for me to write “normally” so whenever she wasn’t looking, I’d write “weird” and when she was looking I’d write “normal”. It affected me so badly that when I started secondary school I forced myself to write “normal”. I now do it all the time since my brain got used to it (I’m soon gonna be in college taking an animation course. Yay!) but back then.. that teacher scared me.

I’ve had a teacher throw a Patrick Star plush at me because I was talking. That teacher was my mother. (No I was not homeschooled my mom actually taught at my school)

This brings back a memory. Where my math teacher “accidentally” dropped my laptop. She told me “that’s why you shouldn’t put your laptop on the edge of your desk”. She didn’t even say sorry! I have never felt like smacking my teacher!

when i was in kindergarten through 2nd grade, i had a substitute teacher by the same name (mrs. k.) she was friends with everyone in the class except me. and for no good reason. i once had to use the restroom and i was in there for 30 seconds. and when i was done, she came out and sternly told me "get in there right now. we don't take that long to use the bathroom." i told my teacher, and a few friends in class, and instead of hearing me out, they judged me for hating a mean teacher. and my regular teacher hired her to substitute almost all the time. i hated that teacher. i would do anything to go back in time and give that teacher the finger. she also screamed at me in class for falling over in my chair. And "just because your young, doesn't mean your feelings aren't real" those are the words of an angel.

I had a pretty bad teacher who was constantly contradicting herself. Example: She always told us that you "Can't have opinions" even though it is a human right to an opinion, but ok. THEN, about a month later she was giving us some lecture, but at the end she asked us for our opinion of if we thought her "Teaching method" was ok. None of the class responded. She got pissed and started screaming at us. She got fired.

When my sister was in the third grade, her teacher would always pick favourites. One time; in a maths lesson, the teacher said to the class that everyone who understood the question had to come and sit on the floor, and everyone else stays at the table. So everyone came and sat down besides my sister and a few others. My sister had ADHD, so the classroom is already stressful for her, but this was just humiliating. Then he gave all the kids on the floor calculators (even tho the kids who don’t know probably need them more) and went on with the assignment with them. Meanwhile, everyone who doesn’t know just had to sit there in front of everyone. And he made them feel bad for it to!

I had an odd experience on Sunday. I saw my 7th-grade teacher, who was not my favourite by any stretch of the imagination. She had no children of her own and therefore had some unrealistic expectations for students. To give an example, she decided at awards night not to hand out a most improved student award as nobody was good enough. Surely someone made some ever-slight improvement on something. She was also of the opinion that I simply couldn't do math and would never be taught (I have a learning disability, and math has always been my struggle). So instead of trying, she'd give me photocopied worksheets of very easy math that I was able to breeze through with the EA. Overall, I found her a grouch and was very happy when we had a sub for a bit as she had to have surgery. The sub was a breath of fresh air. Yet, when I attended morning church service (I normally only attend evening service) a few Sundays ago low and behold there was my former teacher. When it came time for us in the liturgy to "pass the peace" (shake hands and say "peace be with you") I ended up gathering the guts to walk up to her (she had remained seated) pew and wished her peace. She seemed surprised. After I had done so it felt like I had done the right thing. That Sunday after service we also had lunch served. I briefly had an interaction with her in which I quoted her infamous line "A day without math is like a day without sunshine." She actually, smiled and chuckled (in school she would simply roll her eyes if she found something funny) and joined me in unison on the last part. This last Sunday was a special guest speaker so I went to morning service again. She took the time to give me a little wave on her way to her pew. My Mum and I were both shocked (in a good way) as normally we would've considered it out of character. Overall, my moral is that she is a human too, and who knows what she was going through during my time in school. It doesn't justify some of her previous attitudes but it's better to forgive than stew over the matter.
