It’s finally here, between lockdowns, chasing a mortgage for a year, an Italian summer and 3 months of renovations, our apartment is finally ready! In this video I’m giving you guys the first look of the empty apartment. Nothing feels better after a long (and difficult) project than seeing Italy come to life
So happy to see you this felice nel video!!
Beautiful apartment! Can't wait to see it furnished. I installed floating floors (fake floors) in my condominium as wood floors are insanely expensive; but like you said they look fine and are less expensive, and just as durable. Congrats!
Tia, I’ve been watching your videos ever since I first found out I was moving to Italy 3 years ago..your videos have taught me so much and I’m so grateful because that’s what shaped my mindset at the time and I wasn’t as scared…I’m in awe seeing how much you’ve grown and all of the milestones you’ve achieved make me believe in myself too..I’m still in Italy and I do hope we cross paths someday! Loads of love, luck and happiness to you!
I am so happy for you. You have worked so hard to get this. I lived in Italy for three years. I always tell people it’s one thing to vacation but it is another thing to live, work and get business done in Italy. Everything is a long drawn out process we are not used to in the US. The apartment looks beautiful and I love the wallpaper. Can’t wait for you to move in and get a tour when it’s finished. Your an inspiration Tia.
Thank you so much! Sometimes I forget but yes it's exactly like that but what I can say is it makes the satisfaction in achieving things, that much greater! I'm so happy and stay tuned for the furnished house tour😍
So proud of you and i hope you are incredibly proud of yourself! Watched you grow from a kid in search of an education in a new country to this bold brilliant Italian homeowner, you did that yourself and you should be glowing with PRIDE girl! You deserve this and more 💘💘💘
Love the aesthetic of the house and I'm sure it'll look so good fully furnished 😍 I also love the simple furniture pieces that you've picked, it's always better to have simple things in small places... Talking about that, I come from the center of Italy, definitely not in a metropolitan and busy city as Milano, and I'm so used to having larger spaces, so the living/dining room/kitchen area looks incredibly small to me but I feel like you optimized it well 😊👍🏼
LOVE the accent wallpaper! In addition to being tranquil, it also makes the space look bigger because the mural has depth! Congrats on your new remodeled home!
Congratulations 🎉 on your new apartment. I was hoping that it would all be ready before Christmas. I really love 💕 how you do your hair short. It’s always nice and stylish
Nice and well organized flat! 👍 Considering you guys went through a pandemic period, that has Benn done pretty quickly for italian "standards". The perfect place for a couple of two busy young guys.
Congratulations! Can't wait to see the finished result. Hope you have many beautiful memories in your new home. I really love the wallpaper! Could it have been inspired by the palms trees in Jamaica?
You had the infamous tiny 50s kitchen! I'm happy you eliminated from the plan, it's pretty unhandy: whenever I looked for houses here in Turin they all had that thing.
Hey Tia, congrats on your new apartment! You have done an amazing job with this place. Me and my girlfriend are thinking to buy and renovate a place in Milan as well, but we have no experience 😂. May i ask you how hard is it to get a mortgage as a foreigner (i am eu citizen, non italian) and how much we can expect to pay per m2? Thanks Have an amazing day. 😊
So happy for you Tia! 🥳 I also bought at the same time (abruzzo) and followed your journey. As a Canadian in Italy for 5 years, I relate so much to the “extended” timeline from the initial offer to this video. In fact our renos have not begun, still tied up with superbonus burocrazia😖 Thanks for sharing the journey!
Thank you so much and how much do I 'feel you' :') Well stay strong, as everyone told me, it will work out in the end and gosh does it feel good when you're all done. Resist!
You need to check out diy with kb on RU-vid! She’s amazing at interiors. It’s so fun decorating and making a place feel like home. Congratulations and enjoy the process!
yea so i was told it's to avoid food smells getting on your couch but.... i don't feel like that's true and I'd rather have food smells than a random microroom in the middle of my space... but that's me!
@@misstiataylor_ Same here preferring the exposed kitchen. Nothing makes a house smell better than good cooking, plus I think cooking in that little room would make me uncomfortable asf
Americans love an open space layout, but the reason we have kitchens separated from the living rooms is the smells. Either you don't cook, or your couch will smell like garlic and/or curry.
