Like I said last time, nothing feels better after a long (and difficult) project than seeing it finally come to life! Between lockdowns, chasing a mortgage for a year, an Italian summer and 3 months of renovations, our apartment is finally ready! We've finally arrived to the big reveal, the (99%) furnished house tour!
Finally the apartment tour! Tia I love it, just my opinion some part of the house look a bit "sterile" , but probably because are new.. I love how you have used the space to create storage!!
I'm happy you worked with an interior designer, your space is beautiful and everything seems tailored to your needs. Interior designers are problem solvers. You can't always stick a "Pinterest idea" into a space.
it's truee, at first, I won't lie, I thought it was optional and I could totally do it all myself but in hind sight no way😅 I would have never come up with this all on my own, so many variables I would have never considered, so many things I didn't know! An additional cost yes but money well spent if you have it and want to get the best out of your home!
Che grande emozione, Tia! Vederti così felice dopo tutto il lungo e faticoso percorso che hai per arrivare a questo punto è davvero bello. E la casa è stupenda in ogni dettaglio❤️
Hi Tia! So happy for you! Your apartment looks beautiful! I really admire you and your drive and determination and after all the delays, the house is here! I love the colors you have chosen for each room and it just looks so cozy and inviting. Such a pretty space for a cute young couple. Excited to see it all finished!
It seems so surreal 😍 I haven’t forgot all the horrors that we went through to get here but well… quasi 😂 super happy to have the apartment done, thanks so much for coming along on this crazy ride!
I love the flat!! It looks soo Italian/European. Also the antibagno, lol. Yes, it's part of the italian building code that you need two doors between the kitchen and the toilet. I think it originally stemmed from hygiene concerns. Loved the tour! You did such a good job
THE BEDROOM IS GORGEOUS, TIA! As a longtime viewer of your channel, I get so emotional from watching you making powerful moves and constantly advancing in life
I'm from Rome and lived in many countries but looking to move in Milan and your video is very inspiring, love your apartment and I think the same about the shower/bathtub thing. I'd have done the same, love the colours you used and the space has been utilised in the best way. Thanks for the inspo e buon 2023!!
Congratulations Tia! Having had the same experience (apart from the auction) I totally understand the difficulties and worries. But you did a wonderful job with the colors, organization of space and furniture! Actually I still have light bulbs hanging from the ceiling, and empty walls, so I'm a little jealous 😜
That washer area can go to the top, also. shelving? Or shelves and top cabinet. Items in cabinet, open exposed or in woven baskets on shelves for storage- blanket, pillows, wash clothes, towels. (Ikea, the container store, West Elm type baskets) Yes lawd, that bath and kitchen will explode when you come in w a punch of color. You look great in the red! Super large painting or print in bold red or mixed bold primary colors on that back wall? Large size or just a geometric shape wood piece. All white and one small area: red or orange or mixed. The entire small space cones alive with the Textures and things that look textured. Can add, Iron or some type of metal piece(s) for the floor or wall. Crystal or glass pieces for table tops. Large single statements to mixed w that soft palet. We see your tastes in the smooth lines and modern, elegant design. What's your final taste in decor? Curtain suggestion. I had a loft, two entire glass walls, 18 ft H x 15 ft L.. floor to ceiling in my downtown loft. Custom was too expensive like thousands. So, I went to a basic, fabric store and found the most expensive that looked amazibg for a price. A quality silky type fabric per foot in sage for one room and champagne colored in another. I think it was $8 per foot. Had it cut to 15 feet. 8 panels. I found the cheapest blk rod or wood rods or hell a broom cut and just painted black. Brackets for the wall and rounded clips that slid onto the rod and would pinch open and grab the material, every so many iches. Its long length pooled, perfect on the carpet. Gorg!! I could have found someone to sew both ends to be custom and perhaps slide onto a rod but the fabric didn't need it. I was not opening up those curtains. It was the look and the light came right through.U could can choose any fabric.Thicker like Damask, whatever. Si, you go it. Now, add your Flair.. Congrats in your lively abode!
Your home is lovely. The floor to ceiling mirrors in the hallway was an excellent choice. It makes the space look bigger. I think a floor length mirror in the hall that divides the bathroom/washroom from the rest of the house would be a great idea. It would allow your guests to readjust their clothing. Or maybe a nice piece of art could go on that wall.
Beautifull furniture! Good job! I especially love the palette of colors! As far as I know the antibagno is mandatory in Italy but only if the "new" bathroom opens on a room with the kitchen/dining room (like in your case): in that case for hygienic reasons you must separate the two rooms with another room! XD
So nice! I love Ginepro color🤩💛 🤔 During my whole life, I always had a bathtub (bathtub and shower or combined) but the last time I took a bath I was probably 7 or 8 yo!😅
After following the entire and extremely long process to get here, I am so happy for you! And I LOVE the end result (well 99% final, if you count the missing drawer door in the kitchen 😂) Congratulations!!! 🎉♥
Wow you and Stefano did a FANTASTIC job. Totally my style, the best thing is I ADORE hidden fridges, and beds with extra closet space. Buono lavoro………..🤗🇨🇦
Love the house. I hear what you say about counter space in the bathroom once you start putting something on it, it gets full up. The kitchen looks good. Are you having a splash back?
In tutta Italia è obbligatoria una porta ulteriore che divida il bagno dalla zona giorno. Presumo sia per ragioni di igiene. Stupenda la carta da parati in camera!😍😍😍
So you're obviously an American in Italy. How did you adjust to this country? so so different in everything? I'm Italo-Canadese living in Italy, but in a small town in the Molise region. I really love what you did to your place, you've got all the comforts BUT compared to the houses they're so small especially in cities. Can't wait to see your couch. Enjoy la bella Italia my dear
Hi Tia, congratulations on your new home, loved the colours, layout and furniture….it screams Tia all over😁 🥰🥰🥰🥰 Comunque I also love my Shower in the the tub 🛀 😂. Enjoy your new digs Tia and Enrico, love Oly😘😘💕
I am also into buying an apartment in Milan. What I have been experiencing is something that I could have never imagined. There's an apartment advertised as 50sqm. I go visit it and realize the apartment is much-much smaller in reality. I ask the real estate agent how many sqm is this and he says 50sqm. :D whereas it is clearly not, you can see that there is not even enough place for a fridge.. What is this phenomenon? I was just unlucky to find this 4 out of 5 times or is it kinda the norma?
Wow! Your new home looks awesome! Congratulations 🎈 🎉 you've survived the ardous, headache terrain of becoming a homeowner. Beautiful apartment!!!! I color coordinate my walk in closet too😊
Love your place!! I actually have the same wallpaper in my bedroom with a dark blue petrol wardrobe. I've been struggling to change my white walls to a really like gray or beige, to match the wallpaper. Your gray I love, would you happen to know the name of the color you chose?
The antibagno isn’t a rule just for Milan, every property in a Italy needs to have it, for hygiene reasons as it separates the bathroom adorn the living space
