generally speaking, the early Beatles albums are better in mono since they cared about the mono mixes and just gave the stereo ones to the label to mix. Thanks for sharing this, Kenny.

Congrats on an amazing Beatles collection.

I just set up a ultrasonic cleaner and cleaned 50 and 60 year old Beatles lps and the improvement is startling. The US versions get a bad rap but the mono early releases sound great.

LOVE the Beatles. They’re like none other. What I love too is unlike even popular bands around that era and into the 70’s is I can understand what they’re saying.

The Week the Beatles Dominated the Charts Nothing to do with the video, but, today (Apr 4) is the 60th Anniversary of the Beatles' dominance of the Top Ten, with all five (5) top places. It was the most significant event of the day, according to sources. The band had seven (7) more songs in the Hot 100, 12% of the chart, plus two fan songs, We Love You Beatles (the Carefrees, a girl group), and A Letter to the Beatles (the Four Preps). It was an embarrassment of riches, and all the wags said it wouldn't last, it was just a phase kids were going through. Can't Buy Me Love stayed at #1 for five (5) weeks, three weeks later, Love Me Do was #1, for one week. It would be nine (9) weeks before the Beatles returned to the top of the charts, an eternity considering they'd held the #1 spot all of the nine (9) weeks before April 4, and only missed the three (3) weeks between Can't Buy Me Love and Love Me Do, from February 1 and May 30, 1964. Peter and Gordon got a #1 for a Lennon/McCartney song, so maybe they'd become songwriters, make a mint, retire, yadayadayada The Fab Four returned to the top slot, though, with A Hard Day's Night. Some suggested the phenomenon was over, Beatlemania had run its course, just as they'd said. A Hard Day's Night, coupled with the stunning film, cemented the Fab Four in the annals of entertainment history. A black-and-white film, not perfect, but it captured the moment, tongue-n-cheek, memorializing how those heady days, in London, in the film, of course, but American kids were no different, and George's encounter in the ad office nailed teen attitudes at the time. I was 14 during this period, 15 when I saw the Beatles with 10,000 of my closest personal friends, at Stapleton Airport in Denver, Aug 26, 1964, and Red Rocks, that night. Tickets were $3.50, $4.50, and $5.50. My Dad made almost $5 an hour, so it was affordable. My parents were like most, aghast at this cultural tornado, and certain it would soon be a thing of the past. I can't say that I really got into the Beatles however that doesn't mean I don't like them. When it comes to groups like the Beatles I tend to like them in a collective sense than an individual sense. Meaning each rock group from that time period had songs that I liked rather me liking one over the other enough for me to call them my favorite. The Lovin Spoonful, The Critters, The 5th Deminsion, The Mamas & Papas, The Cyrkle, Gary Lewis and the Playboys, along with the Beatles all were fingers coming together to make the fist of Rock from that time period. The 60's in my eyes was the starting point of essential pop music & a very important decade for artistic expression that kicked the door open for all the next decades to come. I did leave you a comment on your listening to an album without skipping songs video last night if you haven't checked it out. As far as my number 1 album for not skipping songs is an album of progression of art that will probably raise your eyebrows however I could be wrong which usually I'm not. Like my father said to me when I was 17 . Why spend all your time listening to The Beatles, when there’s so much other great music out there. I’m glad I took his advice on board .

How often do you listen to The Beatles on vinyl compared to the digital Hi-Res player? I have both vinyl and cds of The Beatles, I play them once in a while but not that often. Thanks great video….✌

GREAT. BUT THERE ARE MANY RECORDS MISSING. FOR EXAMPLE " KUM BACK, THE BLACK ALBUM, ON THE ROOF". WELL YOU CAN'T EVERYTHING IN LIFE.
