It's fascinating to see an updated build list finally, even in the two years I've been following you when I was first looking at picking up a Sportback Ralliart and found your channel the car has come such a long way so I'm excited for ya to see it's finally nearing completion. Having picked up my Evo about 10 months ago I'm still only in the very early stages of my build (nearly finished paying it off but I'm looking at a house deposit to save for after that to get on the property ladder early😅) it's so helpful to have quality content like yours that I can look at for inspiration and install guides for DIY projects. My long term goal will be something like a SFLA widebody but that's many many years away, for my interm aesthetic I'd want to keep mine similar to yours with a subtle phantom black setup but I too love the OEM style look and don't particularly want to swap to an alternate bumper setup so I'd love to get a full OEM Aero kit, how/where were you able to source yours? Can't wait to see the day every little minor detail with your build is exactly how you want it and the build is complete - New build on another platform one day? (Obviously without selling the Evo, I think we're far too attached to them to ever do that!)
Thanks so much Michael that means a lot. Your plan sounds great too and my aero kit I bought off someone who never ended up using it then had it painted black as it was in the silver colour, they're getting harder to find these days tbh but try some dealer ships and or Japanese websites. And yeah definitely plan to get something else to mod sometime in the future but that may be a while off since we just bought a new family car instead haha so thay blew my dreams of getting myself a GR Yaris
came here straight after you saw my post on the evo x forums about my button situation. was wondering if you have figured out the extra buttons you wanted to put in? fit and wire up. been wanting to do my own projects just have no idea here to even get a normal switch to turn it into something. Absolutely loved the video!
Thanks mate much appreciated, So i have one more blank space left and it's going to be a garage door opener which I just need to get someone to wire for me as I have the button here ready to go
The perfect blend of tasty X mods without going over the top, maybe god might shine on you with that turbo back and give you your life long goal of owning a 300kw car ;)))
The build looks amazing, your MR is my inspiration for my build. Right now my Evo is in the shop because someone crashed into the front of it while I was parked. But once I get it back im going to get right back on to the build. I have a question that I want to ask you since all the forms that I read don't understand why I would do it, but I want to rebuild my turbo because when I got the car it was cracked but there is no play with the turbine. Do you think I should go on the rebuild for the OEM turbo or should I go for an aftermarket turbo. I don't want to upgrade the SST right now, so I don't want the new turbo to push my limits since it's my daily driver. Whats your thoughts if I may ask, thank you if you read this.
Thanks so much mate and I hope you get yours back soon. For the turbo you could get a slightly bigger oem style turbo like the Mhi 18k and that woimd require a tune but would be well worth it
I agree with Jackson… for the money spent regardless … get a slightly bigger turbo, and a tune. You don’t have to max out the newer bigger turb either, till eventually you get more supporting mods for the SST.
@@IAmS3ntry_133 depends where you're located, I'm in Australian so get them from AK Racing. If you're also in Aus I can link you but if in the U.S better off buying locally there
I haven't blown any on the last four years since running the exhaust manifold and heatshields you see in the video. I use a quality coupler though and have heard some cheap ones can melt
Hi, great video. Love your car, absolute goals. I've just purchased a side mount number plate bracket from AK Racing. I was wondering how you mounted yours? I didn't want to just use self tappers. any advice?
Yes I have I did a video on it if you scroll back through my previous uploads. It was 1520kgs from memory but have take another 15kgs out since from changing to a Lithium battery
Loving the car, this might seem kinda out their but I recently replaced my abs module in my lancer and need to initialize it and I was wondering if you knew a good affordable scanner that could do it. Your the most knowledgeable lancer owner any comment is appreciated.
Hey Noah thanks, I've honestly never bought a scanner to do things like that as I live near AK Racing and just get them to do any scanning for me so unfortunately I'm no help
Hey mate, the aero kit is hard to find but beat off trying some local Mitsubishi dealership and then of no luck then some Japanese websites. The FQ400 vent is sold by AK Racing in Australia and clubspec Customs in the U.S
Yeah my mic seemed to have spiked in that sentence haha so not sure why and didn't notice in editing. But yes I do still want to buy the SST OEM shift knob and sell my manual one
