I think it was giving me some form of false hope that wasn't good for me at all. Man. I had recently been helping a friend going through a breakup. Told her to work on herself now that she knew her faults and to NOT date and that NC and self work was the best way to get him back. She did this for 1 week. Then she said she couldn't take it and wanted closure cuz "it's not fair that he got his closure and I did not" even though the ex told her "I don't see a future with you" and had previously tried breaking up with her 6 months prior. So she contacted the ex about meeting up. He agreed. And he did as I told her he would: he rejected her. She proceeded by getting on dating apps and met some guy that is "so perfect and amazing. He agrees we are perfect for each other too." 🤦🏽‍♂️. I told her "yea that's how it always starts." Classic rebound fresh feeling, huh? Lol. The guy is also only a few months off a breakup too. Wounded people attract wounded people... I had previously warned her about the consequences of dating too soon and that a rebound wasn't gonna help her in any way cuz she hasn't healed and it will haunt her later. But she's been doing the opposite of everything I told her, which I knew would happen. Sad stuff but she'll learn the hard way. Anxious attacher. Very little self love. Took her ex for granted. She doesn't know how to be alone. I really wanted her to fix herself and level up. Oh well.

My long distance boyfriend of two year years , have been very avoidance lately until i sat him down and made him tell me if anything is wrong. My ex is avoidant, everything was going good for 3 yrs of marriage. No fighting or negativity at all, very loving. Then 3 months ago she blamed me for small flaws and had divorce papers the next day. I doubt my ex even looks but I use social media for work...I made sure my public posts were positive and about me thriving having a good time and working on myself and my business...I kept anything that might be considered relationship orientated or things I wasn't happy for him to see as private....glad we never shared any social media connections 😅

What I'm learning (after the fact) is that my instincts are pretty good, I did everything right. And they did reach out and told me they missed me (AFTER getting with the rebound) so I just said "yeah, miss you too sometimes, but you've got someone else now, so..." and when I accidentally saw a pic of him with new girl he was standing there stony faced, checked out, almost sad looking. I never saw that face with me. I feel vindicated. I'm not easily replaced. Enjoy the hell you chose.

Meanwhile im working, helping paying bills, washing her work clothes literally every night after coming home from working the night shift. We have a 14 year old child together. I found out he immediately started dating her. I unfollowed all his social media and didn't contact him. He still follows me. About 2 weeks after our breakup, he texted me. it's been 5 weeks since my ex broke up with me. I fucked up no contact after 2 weeks and sent her a message respectfully letting her know that I didn't necessarily agree with her decision, from my perspective, but that I would respect her choice and stay away. Because during the initial break up, I felt like I didn't leave the door open, I just explained to her that I was upset, but if that's your choice. goodbye and thank you for the great memories. After the first 2 weeks of NC I realised that I made it feel too final. After I reached out she said despite missing me alot, she still feels like she made the right choice. And I think she panicked at the thought of us becoming more. She's a single mum, and had admitted a month prior that she was so happy, and finally ready to introduce me to her daughter, I think she broke her own camels back. I'm not sure if she'll come back, and as the weeks go by, despite wanting to be with her so much and missing her. I'm not sure if I would ever feel the same if she did. I don't think I'd be able to trust her not to dump me again when pressure of something else in the relationship would pop up. But I still miss her company and conversation, not to mention the great intimacy we shared 💦💦 😅 Thanks for this video though, I just wish and regret that I ever broke NC. should've watched this sooner. There is no stages people just move on cause of 3 reasons. They check out of the relationship They have another person already way before the break up 3 monkey branch. It happened to me within 3 to 4 months They found someone already going on vacation almost living together posting status on whatsapp. And this is after a 3 year relationship and living together and stepping up being a father figure to her 3 boys and for full disclosure no I wad not perfect in the relationship and I tried my best to be better but I guess the new person makes her happy and 3 years to her meant nothing. But we all must move on and that's what I did all you can do is wish them the best and move on.

Disagree. Many times as a dumper you have anticipated grief. You can still feel sad after breakup and all that, but possibly not as intense because you did the work up front.
