Whoever at Toyota designed that volume button to be the new push start button has had their volume messed with in their car 😂😂 we suffer from their suffering lol
I lately gave up my roof top tent and transitioned into sleeping inside the car. The sleep and handling of the car are great! I just had to learn packing lighter than I’m used to. So far I’m liking it!
I would agree!! I have never been a fan (let me be clear, just for my current situation) of a RTT mostly because of the weight aspects and the fact that they make vehicles top heavy. Might be a different story if I actually lived out of a vehicle, but I don’t do it enough to justify one. But I’m encouraged to hear your experience about sleeping inside the vehicle too! 😊
Hmm, that is odd and apologies! Did you try another browser? Some browsers might require you to manually trust a certificate. I am not sure who to talk to about the site, but it presently appears to work on my phone and laptop but curious to know if other people are still having issues?
Great vid and review of the new LC! As a in-car camper in my GX470, I was curious how comfortable it would be in the newest LC Gen. You should do more camping/overlanding content!
I don’t get it. It’s butt ugly exterior and an interior that looks extremely cheap and way to plasticy. Not sure why anyone would buy this with so many other options out there like the 4Runner.
Non-removable seats in vehicles. Hybrid battery packs that don't improve fuel economy much. And 3rd row cupholders for a non-existent 3rd row. All to eat into the already limited space of a body-on-frame vehicle. Questionable decisions (the poster child being the latest Sequoia and its knees-to-chest 3rd row). By contrast, I've literally packed my entire house into my 1998 Sienna--all seats removed, completely flat floor. Outstanding in-car sleeping/camping experience.
Congratulations your new LC 👍 How do you like it so far even long road trip and how the driver side seat comfort? Did you get rid of your 80s or still have it?
I traded in my 19 trd pro taco for a 24 ranger raptor. I was honestly shocked at the 180 toyota pulled. Their new trucks are shit, tons of recalls and issues. Treating customers like trash trying to get out of it. And then having the balls to ask the highest prices on the market in ANY class. Left rorich toyota hanging with my 24 trd pro allocation after they told me it was 65 base, plus their greed tax. Woulda been a 110k truck after financing. For a 4cyl "blue collar" midsize. Smiled all the way to ford and paid 58k for my raptor. Financed about 30 of it. Ford gave me 40k for my taco. Toyota only wanted to give me 32. Scamming scumbags. Hope you dont turn into a toyota YES head just because they fly ya to press events and give ya free shit. They lost the plot. Their the democrats of the car world now.
That battery pack/platform in the back really kills this vehicle for me. That back needs to be totally flat to camp in and they need to offer a 3rd row.
This review is very sincere I loved it! It has a wholesome approach and conveys the idea of what it's like to spend a night in the landy without your fancy heavy-duty camping gear. Good stuff Chloe!
This is like a TOYOTA commercial.. “premium” car sleeping experience .. seriously? Where’d the critique? Nothing negative whatsoever… 😅. I’m a fan of the LC ..but ya dude come on .. 😅
Thanks for sharing! I’m looking at the Land Cruiser as a potential next car. But it’s hard to leave my overlanding Subaru because it has a third row. But looking for more capability that the LC has to offer.
Like the new LC, it just needs an off road version. Will probably get the Trailhunter 4Runner instead. Still like the roll down rear window too. Will keep my 5th gen another year or so until they have been out a while...
Brah. Toyota fuct up. Hawaii should’ve been included in da sweepstakes. We probably have more yotas than any other state. Why you think comedians make jokes about it? Guess it happens when haoles are involved
Can we get clarification from Toyota why the Landcruiser requires 91 octane but the same engine in the Taco does not? That’s almost a dealbreaker for me as it’s 60cent difference a gallon. and would offset the point of the hybrid.
I own 2 60’s (one stock, one 2”emu), an 80, and a 100 - This new Prado sucks. I’ll keep mine as long as they will go, and will just research and keep an eye out on vehicles in case I have to get something in time. This new LC will not be it - that’s for sure.
There is only 1 definition for car camping lol. Car camping is sleeping IN your rig!😝 I started car camping with my first 5th gen 4Runner, and being a 4'11, 99 lbs Asian woman, it is very easy and comfortable lol. I have a brand new GX 550 and disappointed how the seats fold different from my 4Runner, but my husband already made a great temporary solution until I decide if rear seat delete is what I want Cool video!
These are a steal at $80k plus $20k dealer markup! And only a 2-year wait to get one! Oh, and I did confirm there is no discount for being Asian. I asked, but no.
ahh your channel is growing! I checked in a while back when you were modding your Tacoma, moved to New York so I never watch another YT video about cars, till Toyota dropped this beast.
That volume knob looks like a last minute edition to shut up the comments section haha. Awful location and the point of wanting a knob is the eyes-off convenance for the driver and/or quick and easy access for the passenger. This solves neither of those. Fail. Also, Ive been camping for 50 yrs and car camping has always meant vehicle based camping whether in a tent or in the vehicle as opposed to an RV, backpacking, or bike packing.
Ford adds the 7.2kW inverter in their hybrids, and other manufacturers follow. lol 2.4kW is pretty nice for camping. They need to have that in every vehicle at a minimum.
I don't know why toyota isn't offering the hybrid system for 4x2 trucks, but I'm betting manual locking hubs on the front axle will push fuel economy up to 27-28mpg. It's like they don't want a traditional SUV getting excellent fuel mileage.
I wonder if someone will come out with a mattress to make it flat. That is the main thing I am not happy about with the new 6th gen 4 runner. In my 5th gen it folds down flat, its basically a deal breaker but I think I might just get a roof top tent and go that route. I am torn between the 4 runner and the land cruiser, what are your thoughts? Have you tried both?
I was ready to enter the giveaway until I heard Hawaii isn’t included!😩😩 LOL! Awesome and informative vid! I own a 100 series LX and the one thing I love about it is the lower tailgate!
I love your videos and I do really like the new Landcruiser. I also own a 2019 Tacoma. That rack on top of the landcruiser looks sweet but based on other video that thing can't even hold more than 200lbs which is pretty stupid.
That volume knob placement looks like if was added at the last second. No way would I want my passenger reaching in front of my steering wheel to adjust the volume
hello nice vid ¿what is the sleeping length from the rear door to the front seats ? what is the tallest a person can be to sleep straight in the new LC? thanks
Good looking rig even if its stock! I'll wait a few years for the price to depreciate, then go after it when I can afford it. Or maybe I'll jsut get an older Land Cruiser, since their built like flippin tanks, anyway! Great content Chloe!
